Welcome to the Emperor's Hammer
WWW-based gateway into Internet Relay Chat (IRC)...! This has been created
for those members
who are not very familiar with IRC, but would like to attend Emperor's Hammer meetings
(see below) and casual chat.
Please be SURE you review and
understand the following online club regulations or you may face kick/banning from the EH IRC
Channel (#Emperor's_Hammer) or affiliated IRC Channels:
Articles of War
Bylaws
Disclaimers
IRC Code of
Conduct
Privacy
Policy
Some Imperials Citizens may prefer more
commands and direct control during their chat sessions by downloading 3rd party shareware
called mIRC. The EH IRC Channel
is currently hosted on the UnderNet Network.
Please send any comments to the Fleet
Commander (GA Astatine).
To use this WWW chat gateway to IRC,
simply input your EH ID line where indicated below, and the nickname that
you would like to use on IRC during the chat session, and click Connect...!
Online Conferences/Meetings
Weekly conferences
are held on Internet Relay Chat (IRC) EVERY Saturday at 12 pm EST. These conferences are
an excellent opportunity for the Fleet to get together, and to talk about the latest
events. A briefing is also held by the Command Staff at each conference.
"...as with
ALL EH online meetings/conferences, attendance is voluntary, NOT mandatory. However,
it is an amazing experience to talk to EH Members from all over the world at once.
We have had Members from South Africa, Sweden, Canada, Hong Kong, England, and the U.S.
all "chatting" at once. A LOT of fun and highly recommended by the Office
of the Fleet Commander...!"
The Weekly HoloNet
(IRC) meetings for the Fleet are held every Saturday at 12:00 Noon, Eastern Standard Time,
on Undernet; channel #Emperor's_Hammer. You can connect to any IRC
server on the Undernet IRC network.
A commonly used Undernet
IRC server is:
us.undernet.org - port 6667
Note:
Members attending the IRC meetings are asked to use a nickname that reflects their
Rank and EH ScreenName. (i.e.: A nickname such as FAThreat or GN_Blake).
The only exceptions to this rule are Squadron Commanders, who are asked to change their
"nick" to reflect their Squadron. (i.e.: Alpha Squadron Commander becomes AlphaCMDR).
This is due to the fact that it can become confusing as to who is who, and it makes
identification much easier.
