An Interesting History of Stormtroopers:  05.26.03
As Copied From:  www.starwars.com and submitted by Fleet Commander (GA Ronin)

I found this article and thought it may be of interest to our Membership...It provides some details on 11 different type of Stormtroopers...!

"Troopers of the Galaxy
May 22, 2003

Marching in precise order, encased in identical suits of armor, and ready to carry out the will of Palpatine, these soldiers are the loyal defenders and enforcers of galactic government. Whether the genetically engineered soldiers that fought fiercely in the Clone Wars, or the endless stormtroopers that would arise a generation later, these troopers represent the zenith of military training and equipment in the galaxy."

Here it is, in jpg form.

Fleet Commander's Note:

Thorin (Oakenshield) has recently enlisted in the military (basic training) ... As is tradition in the Emperor's Hammer, those of our Membership serving in their country's respective armed forces deserve our gratitude and thanks.  In these trying times, these selfless individuals who sacrifice their time, blood, sweat and tears, prove every day what REAL loyalty and dedication to their nations are...

My personal thanks...

/me bubbles softly

Week of great disappointment. That's all what I can say. I saw Matrix Reloaded, and what can I say. It sucks big time. I am greatly disappointed and I am sure other people will be too. Now, I think they should stay with 1 part movie.

About EH things. I have released several battles this week and we are very close to TAC3K. And I think that's all for now. It was quiet week.

Mission Creation Courses
Thanks to LC Philo, I have data about TM. :)

TIE Mission Creation (TM) - 40 graduates
XvT Mission Creation (XTM/1) - 301 graduates
XvT Advanced Mission Creation (XTM/2) - 109 graduates
Next week I will try to include XAM as well, so we will have all mission creation courses here :)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TAC3K countdown!
More battles and missions released and we are very close to our ultimate goal! We need only 82 to reach TAC3K! Good work Tactical Staff, keep it up!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mission Creation Corner
We have a quick but helpful tip from Philo:
Flight groups always face "Waypoint 1" from their start point. So, make sure the player's craft is facing the right way to start the mission. It's annoying to have to turn around to head towards your objectives.

Oath of Loyalty
Remembers guys. This competition starts June 1st, so it's very close. Keep your battles ready.

Tactical Office Person of the Week:
This week I've selected Serge Broskopf as Person of the Week. As recommended by TCC:XWA:
I nominate TCT Serge Broskopf for PotW, he's done two corrections for me so far, and ive never seen someone who goes into so much detail, excellent job Serge, keep it up.
Great job Serge. You have earned 2 points. I remind all TCCs to send their PotW recomendations. So current standings look as follows:

Penfold - 2
Kalith Jaenus - 1
Abel Malik - 3
Styles - 3
TK-9780 - 3
Carl Lost - 5
Angel - 1
Atmos - 1
Cray - 2
Apophis Kuma - 1
Nightmare - 1
Broskopf - 2
This round ends May 31st!

INTERNET OFFICE REPORT #92
May 23, 2003

Internet Office News

EHNet.org got a new design this week, thanks to IOAs Xander Drax and Turtle. As a reward for this, Xander Drax has received a promotion to MAJ.

Planning still continues on the joint project the Internet Office is working with the WO and other office. Details will be released as they are available.

The IO also has a brand new banner, which is included in the design. I will post a separate file of it for those who would like it on EHNet sometime soon.

Alex Foley did some updates to My EHNet regarding the optional blocks. He also added a block that supports the BHG's new blog system.

That's all for this week.

Training Office Report #11

Admiral Keldorn Reporting 24th May 2003

http://www.emperorshammer.ca/

<SALUTE>

I returned from leave yesterday and can safely say I am utterly exhausted. My utmost thanks go out to those Officers that stood in for me during this absence, such help is appreciated.

Colonel Aeishline Strathaven, an individual who accomplished much for the Training Office resigned recently. The Office extends our gracious thanks to her for all her work, and wishes her well in future endeavours. Due to her resignation, the position of Professor of the BitchX Course is now open for applications.

The Training Office has begun the development of a short competition that will be launched (with hope on our side) within the next two weeks. In keeping with the tradition of TO competitions, this enterprise will again be fictionally themed; the working title for this competition is Apostasy. Myself and my TOA have already begun the framework of the competition, and will be contacting various Command Officers and SubGroup Officers within the next few days.

After consultation with various Officers, I have decided to approve the proposal by the COO and CM Per-Aa that a standing competition be implemented to award participation in official EH MP competitions (namely those held in #EHCOC). Thus far this only applies to the TIE Corps (awarding an Iron Star Gold Wings etc.), whereby the individual pilot(s) who participate in the most MP matches (regardless of win, loss etc.) will be recognised for their participation with awards. The competition has yet to be implemented, and once it has I will be talking to the applicable SubGroup Officers about implementation EH-wide.

Congratulations to the newly promoted TIE Tactics Professor, Commander Gandalf. A well deserved elevation.

The Training Office is now accepting Course proposals. With stability now re-established within IWATS, and a full compliment of IWATS Staff on the near horizon, I have decided to re-open the Office to proposals of new Courses to be included in the IWATS repertoire. There are a few restrictions upon proposals; I am open to many diverse and innovative ideas, and would like to encourage the proposal of specifically non-programming Courses at this time. The Courses under consideration so far are:

Cascading Style Sheets.
Sound Processing/Editing.
General Multiplayer.
Star Wars Galaxies.

BitchX Professor Open for Applications

The requirements are:

- An active member of the Emperors Hammer holding the rank of Lieutenant (or equivalent) or above.
- Extensive knowledge of the open-source IRC client, BitchX ( http://www.bitchx.org/ ).
- Be able to grade exam submissions within 24 hours.
- Keeping Graduate Counts (total and per month).
- Maintaining/updating the Course Notes (basic HTML knowledge necessary; or a good WYSIWYG editor).

Applications should be sent to me ( to@emperorshammer.org ) with the subject BitchX PROF Application.

<SALUTE>

This week I upgraded the bots "dasb0t", "SilentOne", and "Chewie" to eggdrop v1.6.15. Although this does not add any new features for users, it does fix numerous minor bugs. Yesterday SA Kawolski gave me a copy of the Trivia and Millionaire scripts from his old bot Surefire. I've tested them out, and from all indications they work perfectly on dasb0t which runs a much newer version of eggdrop than what Surefire was last running. I haven't yet decided if I'm going to run this weeks #EH meeting trivia using it, but I definitely will start to in the future. I am looking to increase the amount of trivia contained in dasb0t's triviabanks, and will be writing some. I will also be accepting trivia and word scrambles written by other people. Anybody wishing to contribute should contact me for the appropriate information.

Some time this weekend I will be adding the qstat4eggdrop TCL script to my bots. This script queries game servers such as HL, UT, Quake and JK for status and information. I would like anybody running a dedicated gaming server for the EH to contact me with their server address, and game information.

<Salute>

Greetings!

There isn't much coming from the Recon Office directly, but I do have some SW news I would like to share. So here we go.

A Teaser Trailer is Coming

Confirmation has been received from the Core Team that a teaser trailer from Episode VII is forthcoming.

VS Producer, Jason Seibel aka Urban Jedi, confirms that the trailer, which is in the final stages of production "will not show a lot, but will be enough to pique the interest of even the casual VS visitor."

When pressed for details, Jason only said that the world would have to wait until May 21, 2003 for the world wide release of the trailer, right here on The Force.Net!

Stay tuned for that trailer, debuting exactly one year before the release of Episode VII and an interview with Head Script Writer, Jeremy Lazar coming soon, right here on TheForce.Net!

(( I just came upon this, and obviously, it is out already, so you can visit it using the link below.))

20 Years of Le Retour Du Jedi

The latest issue of Lucasfilm Magazine, the French Official Star Wars Fan Club publication, celebrates 20 years of Return of the Jedi with a detailed look back at Episode VI. This issue includes a special tribute to the late Richard Marquand, director of Jedi, with interviews with French actor Thierry Lhermitte who worked with Marquand, and Jedi alumni Robert Watts (Producer) and Ken Ralston (Visual Effects Supervisor). The Jedi spotlight looks at scenes cut from the film, and includes some never-before-seen photos.

Also in this issue is an interview with Frederic Talgorn, one of the composers who provided music for The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, and all the regular columns such as Dr. Jones mail, Skywalker Reporter, Inside Attack of the Clones, Behind the Magic, Set Piece and more.

Lucasfilm Magazine #41 has started shipping to subscribers and will be available on French newsstands on May 26th. For more information on the Official French Fan Club, visit their website here.

"Celebrate the 20th anniversary of 'Retour du Jedi'

When arrived the question of devoting a number worthy of this name for the 20 years of 'Retour du Jedi'(Return of the Jedi), we asked ourselves which orientation we could possibly give to it. We had to propose a sort of brand new view on a movie that we had evoked so many times in this magazine. Should it be devoted to the actors? Why not, but Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford had received the honors of the 'Lucasfilm Magazine' many times and we already knew that we would find Carrie Fisher in this summer's next release. While reviewing fourty and over publications and the soon to come 8 years anniversary of the magazine, we realized that the person we mentioned the less was simply its realizer: Richard Marquand. Deceased since 1987, it was obviously out of question to get an interview. But while searching in the archives of Lucasfilm, we were able to find an interview of Richard Marquand dating of the movie release and which was only publicated in the 'Bantha Tracks', the publication of the American Fan-Club at the time. Very quickly, this never released interview became the headline of this exceptional number. To complete, we then undertaken to contact the producer Robert Watts who, in an exclusive interview, rememorated his incredible experience with Lucasfilm. But we also decided to investigate, where DVDs are getting more and more, on famous deleted scenes because if some are relatively well-known, some others are less. A few exclusive pictures should also make more than one quiver of delight. Finally, we wanted to relate the incredibles special effects of the movie, at the already revolutionary time, but at the saga of the merchandising Revenge of the Jedi, temporary title given to the Episode VI which made the ink flow. To closure all this, our traditional heading 'L'Envers du Dcor' (Behind the Scene) is also suiting the colors of Richard Marquand's movie.

The exploration of the Episode II's meanders is still the synopsis of this number, as well as Episode III and its more and more enticing information. The quality and diversity of talents that occurred in the series 'Les Aventures du Jeune Indiana Jones' (Adventures of Young Indiana Jones) gives us once again the occasion to meet a French artist, Frdric Talgorn, composer who had the chance to work with George Lucas himself. Finally, you will find your usual headings: Dr. Jones mail, Skywalker Reporter, Rob Coleman's articles, Inside Attack of the Clones."

(( Both above articles were translated from French by ROA/CM Shay`la. :) ))

Mark Hamill to act, direct 'Comic Book'

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- Miramax Films, clinching a new production-distribution deal with Creative Light Entertainment, plans to release the semi-fictional documentary "Comic Book: The Movie," starring and directed by Mark Hamill.

Slated for a fall release, "Comic Book" is an improv film in the vein of "Waiting for Guffman" that follows the antics of the world's biggest comic fan, who has been hired to direct a documentary about his favorite comic book heroes of all time.

It was filmed on location at the world's largest comic book convention, San Diego Comic Con, and features numerous cameos from such notable pop-culture figures as "Spider-Man" creator Stan Lee, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, director Kevin Smith and "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening, among others.

"Comic Book" was produced by Hamill and others for Creative Light Entertainment and Amazing Invisible Ink. Creative Light's first-look deal with Miramax will cover film, TV and home entertainment.

"We're excited about being in business with the team at Creative Light because of their great track record of creating highly successful fan-based productions," Miramax executive vice president Kevin Kasha said. "Our first project together, 'Comic Book: The Movie,' promises to be an exciting undertaking with widespread appeal to audiences young and old -- from comic book fans to action hero fans to loyal followers of Mark Hamill."

Specializing in genre films, Creative Light has made a name for itself with the video releases of such fan-driven product as "Stan Lee's Mutants, Monsters & Marvels," a one-on-one documentary with Kevin Smith; "Mind Meld: Secrets Behind The Voyage of a Lifetime," starring William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy; and the Showtime documentary "Hail Sid Caesar! The Golden Age of Comedy."

The company's upcoming projects include the coming-of-age horror film "Creature Unknown," the stand-up comedy film "Coming Out Party" and the satirical reality dating film "Reality eXtreme!"

========================

I was talking to VA Darknyte about contacting Hayden Christiansen (sp?) via email. DN already fired off one, and I think ill do a follow up if at all possible. Also, I am going to be looking for a way to contact Ewan McGregor for a possible HM and an interview or two. Who's knows ;P

That about wraps it up for me this week. Big thanks to CM Shay`la on her help! She is already proving to be a valuable asset!

Until next week...

Just as an addendum...

I've been digging my way through the most ungodly pile of schoolwork I've ever had to deal with, but still have some news:

1) The lovely people at Penny Arcade haven't responded to anything I've sent them in the past two weeks. It looks like, unfortunately, they're not interested in doing business with us.

2) I've received contact directly from an EH member who was at E3, and has all manners of goodies for us. He picked up some photos, signatures, interviews, contact information, and a beta/demo of Knights of the Old Republic! I'm waiting to hear back from him and see some of this awesome stuff, but people do have schedules to attend to... stay tuned!

3) I'm continuing to look into potential ways of advertising in print. There's a lot of smaller magazines in North America who are just happy to have something resembling an advertisement to put in their material, regardless of whether it's paid for or not. If you know of any small publications in your area who may be willing to put a small blurb on the EH in them, or, better still, any larger publications that don't have steep advertising fees (we like free, people!), forward me and Admiral Joe their contact information.

4) Many of my Honorary Member contacts have turned up nothing. I never received word back from Kenny Baker (R2-D2). I'm thinking of contacting some of the less well-known individuals on the Star Wars front, such as some of the musical composers. Tracking down these people's contact information has been a real challenge, though. ;)

5) I'm working on getting the Emperor's Hammer mentioned, even only briefly, on as many web sites as possible. One of my goals is jediknightii.net - we'll see how that goes. The plan, however, remains the same - the EH's name in lights in as many places as possible. ;)

#2 is the one that really makes me pleased. It's good to see that you don't need to be a member of the Reconnaissance Office to go out of your way for the EH! :D

GM Report #4:  05.23.03
As Emailed From:  Grand Master of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood (HA Rapier)

The Dark Brotherhood of Jedi

Hello all,

As you've probably seen by now, Clans Naga Sadow and Taldryan have been temporarily closed to membership due to low member counts. They have been integrated into Clans CSK and Arcona respectively. Hopefully this will only be for a short while as membership is again on the rise.

A new HeadMaster is still being sought but one should be appointed before the end of the long holiday weekend so if your interested you need to get an app in to myself and DGM Darkov as soon as you can.

From the Office of the DGM

Second draft of the revisions to the Vendettas is underway, translation into plain English is commencing and will try and explain each part in detail in the one document this time.

Work has begun on the websites for the vendettas, this is causing a few headaches due to having to learn new fancy ways of coding things, luckily just before writing this I had a major breakthrough and should be able to proceed without any further learning barriers. Hopefully the code and database will be versatile enough that it will last for multiple competitions without the need to recode it anywhere.

Competition approval form is up on my website. Not a lot else really, looking into new activities for the membership amongst other minor things, but my main effort is getting things up and ready for a GJW to start, hopefully at the beginning of July, give or take a couple of weeks.

From the Office of the CHAN

The Chancellor website is completed and can be found at http://chan.minos.net/. I'm probably going to alter the design a little bit though, so that will be done over the next couple days. The Medal Guide has been completely revised and has been sent to you lot for review. So far, I've only heard from Reb Crush and Darkov on it. I'd really like to hear what everyone has to say about it, but if you don't say anything I assume you're happy with what I've written.

I've continued to add in medals to profiles, as well as address several medal recommendations. Gelton Torr and Kethoron continue to work on the new medal images, and Gelton has informed me that Kethoron is experiencing a little real life turmoil at the moment, so production is slightly slow. So far, the following medals are done:

Golden Lightsaber
Emerald Dagger
Ruby Scepter
Sapphire Blade
Grand Cross
Steel Cross (and upgrades)
Star of Eos (with Quills upgrade)
Dark Cross
Bronze Nova (no upgrades)
Silver Nova (no upgrades)
Gold Nova (Grand Planetary cluster)

For all the unfinished medals, all of the concept art is competed
and just awaits computer rendition. Hopefully we will see the medals
completely finished by the end of June at the latest. That's all from my office.

From the office of the Obelisk High Commander

After finishing the Obelisk site ( http://obelisk.minos.net ) I've begun work on the Obelisk Field Manual. So far I'm just gathering pics and stats, and I will make a site design and then plug in all the content later. Should be finished over the weekend.

I'm also going to finish the 'Obelisk Tome' that was started by OHC Khaland but never really worked on. It's basically a history of the Obelisk, more detailed than past attempts. So far I have some excellent stuff from old Dark Voices, and a complete OHC/CoG history list, with dates of office.

Other than that, I have been establishing communication with the Obelisk Summits, and will be forming the 'Obelisk War Council' yahoogroup soon for discussion amongst the leaders.

As always, the MP comps are running in #kaiburr, and participation has risen over the past week or so, a very encouraging sign.

That's all from me, whew, but check out my report tomorrow because I may have some extra news in there.

From the office of the Krath High Priest

1. As Rapier said, Unity's come to an end. And with a whopping 4 submissions at that. :P

2. Awards will be requested for that as soon as Rapsicle gets me his opinion back *hint-hint-nudge*

3. Little word on the site yet, only that Knight is working on it and should have a sample page for me up soon.

4. Competition planner
A. Secure GJW awards for all the good little Krath boys and girls.
B. Run-on (Summary: Krath investigate ancient Sith temple,
blah blah blah, find artifacts, kill jedi, get possessed by
ancient sith lords, blah blah blah)
C. Krath Poetry Competition
D. Research Krath Monthly Topics
E. Contemplate revival of Krath MML.
F. Begin research into possible avenues of Krath involvement in
the next GJW/Vendetta/RoS/Thingy :P

That pretty much sums it up for me. As always, any thoughts, comments, ideas, criticism, or bribes are highly welcome. Especially bribes. :P

Well, thats looks like all for this week

Talk to you all online

Greetings from the office of the Infiltrator Wing Commander!

Another week behind us, and as my old friend and predecessor as IWCOM, admiral Rastyn reminded me, I am slowly going into my second year as Infiltrator Wing commander. It has been a pleasure and an honor to serve you all as the IWCOM. I hope that I will continue to do so for many more years in the future.

IW Pilot Manual new edition soon

I am working hard on adding all the nice and flashy details as well as some of my own expansions to the latest Infiltrator Wing Manual recieved from the IWOC office.

Expect the best and most complete collection of Infiltrator Wing information
soon :)

Recruition competition

After the long time without an operational website new members were unable to join the IW. This has caused our numbers to fall a bit. To resolve this situation and bring fresh pilots to strengthen our squadrons I shall be starting a new grand recruition competition.

Standby for details in a separate email communiqu.

DP Report #123:  05.24.03
As Emailed From:  Dark Prince of the Bounty Hunter's Guild (Trench)

The Bounty Hunters Guild (BHG)

CURRENT ROSTER COUNT: 445

Sirs,

Finally, my fiction course is off the ground. Let me tell you a little bit about it, because it is something that, I think, is entirely new in the EH; I know that I've never seen it before.

We all know the fiction competitions that exist, both in the BHG and elsewhere. We also know that in the BHG there exists the Citadel, which is rife with many courses for hunters to take in order to improve their skills. But though these courses are excellent, they don't quite simulate that classroom feel, nor give hunters the attention they deserve.

Thus, with Dalk's assistance, I have begun a fiction course whereby three instructors (me, Krail and Korathen) work intensively with groups of willing students over the span of several weeks to improve their writing skills. Instead of just getting graded, they'll get help.

Response for the first course was enthusiastic and each of the three instructors has about a dozen students -- the perfect size for intensive work. Since it's a class and not a contest, the sections will also have the opportunity to get to know each other and build friendship and team spirit.

Not only will their fiction skills improve, enabling them to do better in BHG competitions, but these improved skills will also help them throughout their lives. I am very excited that the BHG can contribute to people's real lives as well as to their virtual advancement in this Star Wars club.

Some other news now from areas of the BHG...

The Adjunct's office is starting a new contest! Entrants submit a one-page brief for a new Run-On adventure. Submissions all get at least 25,000 credits, with the winner receiving 100,000 plus bonuses.

Dragon CRA Nyk'chendhe will be the temporary Dojo Master while Conan is on his leave of absence.

Commendations to Gen Olari, Blackbird, Conan, Nyk'chendhe and Slagar are also awarded by the Adjunct.

JUD Ehart has awarded Chief bonuses for last month.

Project: Paradox, Specialist Skorbacca's latest brainchild, is nearing completion. He's started a couple of competitions to allow hunters to get in on the final phases of design. It should be unveiled shortly.

Respectfully submitted,

Dark Prince Trench

SDIR Report #1:  05.22.03
As Emailed From:  Supreme Director of the Ubiqtorate (VA Mordann)

Intelligence Division (ID)

BUDRs - please forward this to your respective Bureaus.
AbK - there's about a 50/50 chance I'll be at the H meeting this week, so I've CC'd you as per the FC's
new directive.

Report of the Supreme Director #1 - 22/05/03

Roster Count: 54
(UBIQ/INTORG/BOO/ANLY/PLEX/PRAE)
Total Roster Count: 188
(Inc. advisors, reserves and trainees)

1. New SDIR Appointed

Following the resignation of Admiral Troutrooper, the new SDIR is, well... me (VA Mordann Tal'kyra, for those of you too lazy to scroll to the bottom and check my ID line:P). Hopefully this marks the start of a new golden age for the Intelligence Division and various other cliches people often use when appointed to SGCOM. Feel free to chat to me on IRC or email me at sdir@ehintel.org or bored_of_darkness@yahoo.com.

2. New Blood

Id like to start my report by welcoming those dedicated members of the Emperors Hammer who have seen fit to join our ranks in the past few days. The Intelligence Division is actively recruiting. If youd like more information about the Intelligence Division please go here:

http://www.ehnet.org/mb/viewtopic.php?t=6690

3. Bureau Directors are now PUBLIC

Yes, you read that correctly. If your reach the exalted position of BUDR, you may now display your ID line and will shortly have ops in #dgn_lichtor_v (once I figure out how to set them up), just like in the good old days under Stalker5, Langer and Brad.

So without further ado our Bureau Directors are

ANLY MAJ Johann Stalwart johannstalwart@yahoo.com
BOO MAJ Davi Anthol adam_tkacz@hotmail.com
Plexus LC Leonard jcwl@gmx.net

The Manual and On-line roster should reflect this shortly. Congratulations go to Davi Anthol who has been appointed as BOO BUDR and to Leonard who was recently promoted to LC.

NB This should mean that the BUDRs can now openly approach promising individuals with a view to recruiting them to their respective Bureau. However be sure to inform me of anyone you wish to recruit in this way BEFOREHAND.

4. Academy of Tactics

a) A quick update has been made to the General test to finally eliminate all reference to Sectors. A major update for the test and indeed the entire AoT will begin shortly.
b) Problems with test grading. When our previous TTDR left under unfortunate circumstances a lot of uncompleted paperwork was left for her successor to complete. VA Raith is working his way through all this, but naturally it is taking some time. If you have submitted the General test to the AoT and have yet to have a response, please email me and I will arrange your placement within a Bureau.

5. Open UBIQ Positions - Applications are NOT being taken at this time...

Currently both ExDIR and SPC lie vacant. I'm going to hold off for a few weeks until I appoint a new ExDIR (a chance for those interested to impress me). For the time being there will be no SPC as I feel the BUDR of Plexus is coping very well, rendering the position unnecessary.

Directorate Domain Report:  05.23.03
As Emailed From:  Grand Moff of the EH Territories (AD Nightflyer)

EH Directorate (DIR)

<salute>

-Please forgive the lack of report last week. I had thought I'd gotten rid of my trojan problem, but apparently it wasn't totally resolved, and my ISP cut me off in the middle of last week. However, I think it's been fully dealt with now. Let's hope!

-A former Deputy Grand Moff, Autarch (now Admiral) Lammoth, has taken the reins of the new Directorate website and System Manual. With luck, both will be finished soon. Lammoth is also taking pains to add information from older versions of the Systems Manual that has been lost over the years. I, for one, am looking forward to seeing the result! :)

-A new version of the Governor's Dispatches will be submitted to the Fleet Commander and Executive Officer this week, hopefully to be released by my next Domain report. Among the changes include a revision of the Directorate Guard ranking system (as seen on the Directorate Guard web page), the addition of a handful of medals, the addition of background information on the EH and DIR, and the dissolving of the Minister of Indoctrination position.

-I have appointed a new Minister of Operations; this would have been released last week, had my connection been up. Please welcome Talra to the Ministry Council. He is a respected member of the BHG, and has proven himself in several situations. I have full confidence that he will prove to be a valuable addition to the Directorate.

-As always, the Ministry Council has plans for new competitions... please send any ideas you have to the mailing list so that we can get as many opinions as possible. :)

That's all for this week.

CHS Report #22:  05.24.03
As Emailed From:  Chancellor of the Imperial Senate (Kallath)

Imperial Senate

We filtered out all inactives, in addition to rDB members (there were at least 10 that were relatively active, surprisingly). It's disappointing, but I have no doubt the database will change that (I'm hoping it'll be at
least as popular as nationstates, although it's equipped with so much more).

 News

I'd say this week was fairly productive. Work on the database is finally and speedily being done. I believe we have the Planetary Profiles figured out, although I'm sure there's much more to it than what I was shown. :) Minister Demerzel has certainly proved himself capable in his first week as M:REC. All CHS Reports are now archived on the forum, he has completed a summary of Chancellor Slegr's second term, and has somehow obtained an active roster. It seems we still have quite a few members--most of which are Liberal, not that it matters anymore.

I was very sick this week. I'm sure some of you noticed that I was online at irregular times--I've been home from school and such, getting 18 hours of sleep (hence why I'm on so early in the morning and afternoon). I apologize for my inactivity, though--I just haven't had much will to get online, especially while I have an excuse not to do an essay that requires a computer. I'll be on a great deal this weekend, however, because of memorial day and because we intend to get a lot of work done on the database. I might not be on IRC, but you should know my AIM SN and e-mail by now. :)

I wanted to reiterate this in my last report, but we still have 3 High Council positions available: Minister of Communications, Minister of Education, and Minister of State. The requirements are stated in CHS Report
#20, but here they are again (in case this gets put on the EH domain):

HC-4: Minister of Education (M:EDU)

The Minister of Education has the job of maintaining the Senates institution of learning, the Imperial University. He is in charge of appointing new Professors, approving new courses, tutoring new applicants,
keeping the Core Exam up to date, and maintaining an accurate roster of graduates from all courses.

Requirements:

-High online presence
-Quick e-mail response time
-Must use AIM
-A sample of writing (story, essay, exams youve written elsewhere in the EH)
-HTML knowledge
-Willingness to write new exams
-Ability to work with and hire a unique staff of individuals
-Needs to have Ideas
-Knowledge of a variety of topics (political theory, physics, history, etc)

HC-5: Minister of Communication (M:COMM)

The Minister of Communication is responsible for maintaining the Senates main website and message board, ensuring that they are accurate and moderated properly.

Requirements:

-High online presence
-Quick e-mail response time
-Must use AIM
-PHP knowledge (ability to code rosters, news pages, report admin, etc.)
-Ability to maintain a website
-HTML knowledge

HC-6: Minister of State (M:STA)

The Minister of State is responsible for the appointment of Senators to their respective planets. It is his duty to closely monitor planetary activities and the amount of activity contributed by each delegate. Additionally, he renders planetary scenarios/issues, competitions, and legislation. All information pertaining to representation and planets can be obtained from the Minister of State.

Requirements:

-Extremely high online presence
-Quick e-mail response time
-Must use AIM
-HTML knowledge
-Ability to maintain a website
-A sample of writing (story, essay, etc)
-An extent of political, ethical, philosophical, historical, and scientific proficiency
-Ability to think of a variety of issues and scenarios and potential solutions
-Creativity and intelligence

 Projects

-Senate Database (45% completed)
-Systems Manual revisions (approved)
-Senatorial Address reformat (completed)
-Senate Core Exam Revision (completed)
-Senate Medal/Award Guide (completed)
-Senate History Exam (on hold)

 Competitions

Senate Theme Song!

Thats right, Ive finally decided to have an official Senate theme song! Its kind of self explanatory, but there will be several categories of submission: humorous, official, and Star Wars (existing SW music by John Williams). You may submit an unlimited amount of songs to each category. However, be sure I give you confirmation after each one so my e-mail account doesnt get run out of storage capacity. Give credit to the artist/composer.

Official notice is below:

The Senate needs a theme song! The competition will last 1 month (5/9 - 6/9), and all submissions are to be sent to me ( chs@emperorshammer.org ), and DCH Blackblade ( sendakkon@yahoo.com ) There are no limitations on submissions, and the top 3 will be awarded the following:

1st Place: Adamantine Seal w/ Platinum Ribbon [AS-PR]
2nd Place: Adamantine Seal w/ Gold Ribbon [AS-GR]
3rd Place: Adamantine Seal w/ Silver Ribbon [AS-SR]

Note that there arent placements for each category. The official Senate theme song will be given first place and the other two, regardless of the category they fall under, will be chosen based on how much we liked them.

I'm still sick. I apologize for my low online presence this week.

Lord Ambassador's Report
VA Darknyte

Well, this marks the end of my third month as LA, it's been a fun ride so far! Not a great deal to report this week, it's been fairly quiet, but we'll see what we can come up with.

Biggest news this week is that the club known as TRIC seems to have dissolved. It's still a bit sketchy right now, but it appears that most of the CS has resigned due to some internal struggles and tensions. It's mostly pretty boring stuff to people not in TRIC so I won't go into details much. It just appears that a few people started to have a struggle with the FC and in the end everyone got mad and went home. Via con dios, TRIC...we hardly knew ye.

The AWOL check is over, it appears that almost everyone reported in. I think the only people who failed to report in were RA Jan Wemmel and RA Tomaas Banys. If you guys are reading this, report in ASAP so I don't remove you from the roster. Also, this week we lost one member, but have gained another. CPT Aeolus was removed from his position in the AG for doing some things he shouldn't have done, but MAJ Daniel Stephens has came out of retirement to join the AG. So, all in all we're still on even ground.

Destavol is thinking of starting a Run-On on the AG message board, so check in from time to time to see if he's gotten it started yet. Maybe this can jumpstart the AG and get some of you to wake up and come to life. This week I will contacting each of you via email and assigning you a club to maintain diplomatic contact with. Nothing fancy is needed, just keep current on their events, talk to them on IRC if possible, and report in to the Magister weekly on any important news from your assigned club, easy peasy.

That's all the news, but now I have something I'd like to say. This week I got 2 reports from 2 different clubs about EH members either causing problems in their channels or attempting to takeover one of their channels. This kind of stuff isn't acceptable and just really isn't cool. When you're in the channel of an other club, you're a representative of the EH, act accordingly. Anything you do reflects on the EH if you're a known EH member, keep that in mind. We don't need other clubs to think the EH is a bunch of degenerates who do nothing but cause problems and try to undermine authority.

That's it for this week, this is Darknyte signing off...until we meet again!

Gentlemen, my apologies for not getting to you sooner.

Frankly, I have been pleased beyond belief by the proper conduct of our membership for the past few months.  Suffice it to say there have been problems, but my staff and I have been able to take care of them without the necessity of a formal trial.

Despite this, however, there are a few cases in the investigative stage, with information to be provided to you forthwith.  Any questions on this or anything else can always be requested of me, by e-mail or on IRC.

Thank you for your time, and I am, as always, at your service.

Today is a sad day for the FES and the EH. One of our allies has lost his battle to stomach cancer and fallen. Today I received word from High Colonel Trigit regarding Daemon's memorial, the FES has invited the entire EH to attend if they wish, so I will paste his email below.

"Just a heads up, Kaardoon has set a date for Daemon's memorial service. You and the entire EH are invited to attend this, and we would be honored by your attendance.

JediCon 2003: fans will be fans!

1999. Sao Paulo. The Brazilian Jedi Councils take a pioneering step by organizing the first Brazilian national
Star Wars convention, the JediCon. In this unforgettable event, fans attended lectures, chatted, and cheered for their favorite character in the costume contest. Above it all, they had the chance to meet fellow fans to share their passion for the saga. Turned into an annual event due to its huge success, the JediCon has been attracting an average of 500 participants each year, which can be considered an impressive number for a local sci-fi related event. In each of its editions, the convention has remained loyal to its primary goal: to foster integration among Brazilian Star Wars fans.

2003. For the fourth time in Sao Paulo, the JediCon consolidates its innovative character by putting forth changes both in its format and program. The key-word this year is, more than ever, INTEGRATION.

First of all, the Sao Paulo Jedi Council, organizer of the event, is inviting other fan-clubs to take part in the convention, thus expanding the primary goal of the JediCon to include fans not only of Star Wars, but also of other areas such as science fiction, fantasy, and comics. After all, every fan has something in common to share: a passion for something.

As for the program, besides the already traditional lectures, exhibits, and costume contests, this years event will also include:

- workshops for the participants to learn, for example, to make objects related to the events themes using
recyclable material such as paper and plastic bottles;
- a maquette contest;
- Jedi Arena: simulations of lightsaber duels using martial arts equipment and security gear.

The JediCon will probably take place on the last weekend of June (28 and 29), which coincides with the beginning of school vacations. As last year, a T-shirt of the event will be the ticket for admittance. An average of 750 participants are expected to attend each day of the convention, making up a total of 1500 people for the whole event. The place will be the same as 2002, Oficina Cultural Amacio Mazzaropi, and a few places are being considered taking into account their premises and convenience of location. More detail on:

COO (VA Kyle Katarn) Promoted to Admiral:  05.19.03
As Recommended By:  COM-COOA/RA Mell Kerrigan/ISD Subjugator

(Please see Training Manual for rank descriptions)

I hereby present a request that the Combat Operations Officer, VA Kyle Katarn be promoted to rank of Admiral.

Kyle has shown competence in carrying out his duties for the past 8 months working to raise Multiplayer awareness and with the help of his staff has standardised the system and allowed for medals to be awarded swiftly.

His work with other clubs to attempt to get inter club competition has been well thought out and once implemented will help to boost the EH's profile and show that we lead from the front.

I have not seen a COO work so hard for this club in all the existence of the position and a promotion is not only justified, but well over due.

Flight Officer Promotion & Medal Recommendations (Cyric and Proton)
As Recommended By:  Flight Officer (HA Priyum)

(Please see Training Manual for rank descriptions)

Greetings Sirs,

I write today to bring you several recommendations:

The first is for my Command Attach, Admiral Cyric, for the promotion to Fleet Admiral. I realise the maximum rank a CA may be promoted to is Admiral, but you set a precedent allowing CA:IO Leeson's promotion to FA not so long ago. Had I known you'd allow a promotion such as this, my recommendation for Admiral Cyric's promotion would have been submitted many months ago. Cyric has been in the EH for five years (today actually marks that), and during this time he's held several notable positions, but the most influential were Commodore of the Grey Wolf, Battlegroup Commander of the ASF and currently my CA. His time as COM and BGCOM saw huge success, both in the growth and activity of his command. He then lent his considerable expertise to the Flight Office where he serves as a rock. In addition to his roster duties, he's constantly tracking Flag Reports and activities, as well as my sound board for ideas and problems. One of those people who is always working in behind the scenes, this promotion would go some way in giving Cyric the recognition he deserves.

(Please see the Operations Manual for medal descriptions)

My second recommendation is a continuation of AD Joe's rec for Admiral Proton, Commodore of the SSSD Sovereign. But it's actually for the Imperial Cross, as opposed to the GOE. The reason for this is that Proton has already been awarded the GOE with his Gallows persona, and I think his work, past and current, is worthy of the Imperial Cross. I'd echo everything Joe said...like Cyric, Proton is another stalwart member of the EH who does his job without complaint from me or him to the highest of standards. He's one of those Officers who constantly looks after his pilots' interests, and the TIE Corps is better for it.

Thank you for your considerations,

Tactical Office Report #89:  05.17.03

Tactical Office

And justice for all...

Another busy week for me. Most of my time, I spend with my girlfriend, however I still have enough time to perform my TAC duties. All HSs have been processed today, all new submissions have been added to Tactical Database by my new (soon to be) CA. Everything looks ok.

Oh well, I don't know what more to say. So let's get down to business.

Mission Creation Courses

Right now I have information about XTM/1 and /2 only (I am prof). I would like all mission creation PROFs to send weekly stats to me, so I will include them in my report. Advertisement is always good and increases number of new submissions. Our compendium grows and everyone is happy. So, right now only XTMs' stats.

XvT Mission Creation (XTM/1) - 301 graduates

XvT Advanced Mission Creation (XTM/2) - 107 graduates

Next week I will try to include all mission creation course here, with links and status. We will see how it improves our status.

IW battles updated

I would like to thank IWTAC and IWCS for the support they show me. It's really nice to hear that someone appreciates your work and dedication. I owe you one :) Thanks guys.

XWA and XvT/BoP engineers

Check Mission Creation Message Board for more details. I am still looking for some XvT/BoP and XWA engineers. I don't need more testers, so please do not apply.

Final warning

I am sick of people who do no read report or new, so I am going to say it last time. From now on, every mail to me, asking about update, wrong BSF, application, etc. will be ignored. I encourage you all to add your PINs and emails to your ID lines, so it will be easier for us, command staff. Thank you for your attention.
Also, one word to people who follow my guideline about pilot file (zip) naming. Some of you do it wrong. I will explain one again how to do it. First you have battle ID like TIE-TC or XvT-DB, then you add number. It must always be 3 digit. so add 0 if it's below 100, and 00 if it's below 10. So you now have TIE-TC 003. Now you add - and you have TIE-TC 003 -, and then your TC name or nickname and PIN. Remember, name-PIN not PIN-name. So now you have: TIE-TC 003 - Marcin Szydlowski 3203.zip. Easy?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TAC3K countdown!
More battles and missions released and we are very close to our ultimate goal! We need only 106 to reach TAC3K! Good work Tactical Staff, keep it up!

Mission Creation Corner
No tips this week. No one wants medal these days?

Oath of Loyalty
New mission creation competition starts on June 1st. It's about EH vs rDB situation and it's been approved by GA Ronin himself. I guess it's worth trying, so keep your pants on and get ready to rock :)

Project Revive
TCC:XWA Master has started new project. Him and his staff will be updating XWA battle and mission, to correct all bugs, add EH crests and other things like that. I like that kind of initiative. Good idea and keep up good work Master.

Tactical Office Person of the Week:
This week I've selected Carl Lost as Person of the Week. As recommended by TCC:TIE:

Carl Lost. He could arguably be nominated every week, along with Cray Mikalen, for constant willingness to take on many assignments, and the ability to accomplish them quickly and well.

Great job Carl. You have earned 2 points. I remind all TCCs to send their PotW recommendations. So current standings look as follows:

Flight Office

Greetings all to this week's report from the Flight Office.

News -

Flag Staff Changes

This past week or so has seen a significant number of changes amongst the TIE Corps Flag Officers. The Colossus received a new Wing Commander following LC Shadd's departure. Many congratulations to the former Omicron CMDR, Lieutenant Colonel Wysseri Arestar.

General Drake and Lieutenant Colonel Aeishline both resigned from their Wing Commander positions (Wings IX and III respectively) due to increasingly busy RL commitments. They were good Officers who did their jobs to high standards and the Flight Office is sad to see them go. Both them and Shadd will receive the Gold Star of the Empire in recognition of their invaluable work (Aeishline has also been promoted to Colonel).

As far as I know, the Wing III WC position is NOT open to applications. IX was open, but the choice has been made and is awaiting confirmation from the relevant parties.

Email Changes

The ChalCOM, RA Sephiroth, has changed his email to tc-sephiroth@tcinternet.net and the SO, Admiral Zoltar, has changed his to zoltar_2@yahoo.com. Please update your address books accordingly.

Tau Commander Selected

It took a while, but the new Squadron Commander for the Elite Tau Squadron has been selected. Congratulations go out to Major Adren Silvori (Darkmage in the DB I believe). He has a fine history of Command, myself and GM Rapier have high hopes for him and the Squadron in the coming future.

Training Officer

Admiral Keldorn is back from leave and he should catch up with the competitions awaiting approval very soon. Please note that he'll be back on leave from tomorrow until Friday evening.

TIE Corps Meeting

Every Sunday in #tiecorps, undernet @ 9PM GMT / 4PM EST

My thanks to Admiral Cyric for taking over hosting of our weekly after my untimely departure last night (Die BT!). Many thanks to Rear Admiral Mell for hosting trivia, and congrats to LT Mark Pooler for winning.

Respectfully,

High Admiral Priyum

INTERNET OFFICE REPORT #91
May 16 , 2003

Internet Office News

This week, the Internet Office has been working on plans for a brand new massive project which will be a joint effort between the IO, WO/CGM, FO, COMM, TO and possibly more. While it's extremely early to say anything other than that, we are currently working on developing the idea, which has the possibility of becoming something even more revolutionary than Project Hawkeye.

FA Leeson has informed me that due to limitations of Flash, he will not be able to successfully complete the anticipated EH Radio Player in Flash. Sorry, folks.

There's a brand new counter available at the EH Counters Service ( http://counters.minos.net ) , with a more digital and technical feel. All webmasters can sign up for free counters, regardless of where you host!

Not much else this week except the EHNet.org design is almost done. CPT Drako also did one, but it is being saved for use with the new project.

The meeting log archive has been put online at http://theholo.net/logs/. I still have some logs which I have to go through, and some which are online need date corrections. I will be putting TIE Corps logs on the site shortly.

As mentioned in the IO report, I am working with Ari on a massive new project. Details are censored for the time being.

I have mostly completed the required modifications to the forum code to facilitate the awarding of MoC's, but I am delaying integration pending the release of phpBB 2.2 which will contain many new features. Some of which include improved administration functions, the ability to put forums in a 'sub folder' (which will be most useful for squadron forums), improved user control panel, and file attachments.

In the mean time, I have focused my energy on completing the COMM manual. Some of the categories covered include installing, and using mIRC, AIM, ICQ, and MSN Messenger, online etiquette, commonly used chat acronyms, and detailed information on IRC.

SO Office Report - 03 18 May 2003

<Salute>

My apologies for the inconsistent nature of my reports of late. End-of-semester craziness had me down, as I'm sure many of you can empathize.

Though belated, thanks to High Admiral Priyum Patel and Grand Admiral Ronin for the promotion to Admiral. I've been eager for a promotion for quite some time, and am giddy now that I've gotten it.

The only serious issue to bring to your attention of late is the persistent violation of the Article of War and IRC Code of Conduct chapter dealing with the disrespect of superior officers and/or Channel Operators in public. This is a rancorous issue that must be addressed before it gets any worse.

Disrespect or public arguing with a Channel Operator is a serious offense, and leads quickly to an anarchical mess.  It has come to the point where the mere simple activities enjoined by an Op to police and maintain decorum in a channel is met with cries of "ops abuse!" from a multitude of people either unversed in the CoCs/AoW or determined to belittle a superior for their own benefit. Proper procedures are set out in the Code of Conduct for the private messaging and discussion with said Op if any questions were to arise due to actions taken.

If the problem can not be resolved in this manner, appropriate logs should be sent to me for further investigation. Any deviation from this procedure at this point, most especially crying "ops abuse" or arguing with a superior in a public forum, will be met with a harsh response. I hate to have to resort to anything more than request, but the problem has gotten quite out of hand.

In other news, there isn't much! It's a continued welcome respite from trouble, and special thanks go out to a certain defecting cadre of former officers for taking many of the troubled folk with them. As always, any questions or concerns may be e-mailed to me at so@emperorshammer.org, or catch me or one of my staff members on IRC. We're always around to help you however we're able.

Thank you for your time.

Science Office Report #17:  05.19.03
As Emailed From:  Science Officer (FA Ender mBind)

Science Office

"He dares to be a fool, and that is the first step in the direction of wisdom"

<salute>

Welcome to my seventeenth public report as a Science Officer, incredibly late... (Sorry, was busy in RL, building ships, patches and such :) ...but that means I got plenty to report:

Science Office News:

1. Biggest news I can't tell you much about, which is frustrating... because its really cool and great looking - but also classified till TAC does his part: AD Darkhill finished his "Uber Project"! *huggles Den* Don't worry:
It'll be released to the club very soon and with a bit of luck I'll be able to tell you everything in next week's report.

2. The SCO site has gotten a new php database news page curtsy of FA Leeson, which means I'm finally able to post all SCO news there as well! *huggles Leeson* The php database version of the File Archive is practically ready as well (its up, just needs admin functions).

3. Lots of patching news again, as the XvT/BoP/TIE95 Ship Patch project is in its finalizing phases. A fairly chronological layout of what has been released:

- Standalone Transport Patches for XvT/BoP/TIE95: Due to AD Den Darkhill's efforts I've just released 3 separate patches to make Transports and Shuttles flyable in TIE95, XvT and BoP. The TIE95 version is an update for the existing "Shuttlefly" patch and the XvT and BoP ones do give a completely new experience.
- TIE Phantom: (Mk.1, from "Rebel Assault") for X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter has been released to the patch archive. It uses "Custom Fighter Slot 1".
- TIE Shuttle: Has been released for XvT (Slot #11). The TIE Shuttle was used to ferry over CPT Needa in ESB.
- TIE Boarder: Has been released for XvT (Slot #10). This Boarding Craft was supposed to be in ANH.
- Spectre Missile Boat: The model has been fully updated in all patches, the Fleet Manual and Order of Battle so it resembles what it should look like more.
- Imperial Troop Transport: Has been OPTed, tested and released for XvT (Slot #31). "The "Imperial Troop Transport" is one of the older and by far the largest of the Telgorn Corporation's line of ships and was commissioned at the dawn of the Empire as what was actually a small "corvette" or armed freighter. The principle behind the craft was that it could land up to 100 troops or their armoured equipment from space and also offer support on the ground - functioning as a armoured personnel carrier itself. (Apparently one
intercepted and destroyed a Jawa Crawler that had been carrying the Death Star plans a few days before the Battle Yavin) While very successful in its assigned task of landing troops and equipment the ITTR proved to be under armed when in space and too large as a surface vehicle - which lead to the smaller Telgorn Transports line, all of which are reactions to experiences with the ITTR. In the Empire these transports quickly ended up replacing the ITTR and finally it was replaced by Cygnus' Landing Craft.". (picture included)
- Interceptor Enforcement Craft: Has been OPTed, tested and released for TIE95 (T/F slot) and XvT (Slot#10). "The Interceptor Series is a design which dates back to the Old Republic and started with a fairly simple combat air speeder for atmospheric defence of ground targets (the mk.1). As such they became fairly popular with law enforcement agencies, which however boosted its possibilities to be able to pursue criminals into space. Something which MandalMotors improved upon with the next version. (The mk.2). With the start of the Clone Wars they were upgraded to become fully functional star fighters (the mk.3) before the design was left entirely in favour of its successor, the Pursuer Enforcement Craft - which was designed
as a star fighter from the start." (picture included)
- Pursuer Enforcement Craft: Has been released for TIE95 (T/B Slot) and XvT (Slot #11) and XWA, as a replacement patch for the original which adds EH specific textures.
- Preybird Fighter: Has been released for TIE95 (T/F Slot) and XvT (Slot#10). Is in XWA already.
- Skipray Blastboat: Has been released for TIE95 (T/B Slot) and XvT (Slot#11). Is in XWA already.
- TIE95 patches: We've gotten reports about particular TIE95 craft (the T/Ph and M/GUN for example) behaving strangely. this is because their roll is lower then that of the T/B and apparently TIE can't handle that. All have been updated to fix the rolling-bug they might have had if their roll rating was lower then 50. All should fly fine now.
- XvT patches: Some have been updated to make them install better side by side.
- BoP patches: Bug fixing the T-V patch (slot#11) now, hoping to release quite some after that. (all the ones released lately for TIE and XvT too.)
- XWA patches: Yes, yes, these WILL be released... one day >;)

4. Our starshatter mod project has suffered a setback because the change of policy by its creator. Apparently there will be no more new beta versions released till the full game comes out, with a demo. At the moment it looks like the full game will be not-free, but the demo will be... Making it such that the possibilities of out mod are currently in limbo about what will be cut out of the game to make the demo. Advantage is that it means the full release of the game will be soon, and that we will in fact have a mod for it about the same time - which would be a near first in history. (usually a mod comes at least a year after the original game)

5. I've added a new, recreational, project which involves Mutant Ewoks and Experiments, I hope you'll like it. >:) (Disclaimer: Its not real, we do not condone "cruelty to animals" ;)) http://www.minos.net/~sco/project/ewoks

6. I'll be removing the SCO site mirror on the gimmie.tudelft.nl server because I'll be moving away from there very soon. (A reason why you'll see a bit less of me on IRC.). Anyone that has ideas on where we could have a mirror, please contact me.

7. Additionally it'd like to add the following which might not be fun: DO NOT contact people outside the EH as representative of the EH if you're not. We have a strong indication that the change of policy in the star shatter team was brought on by EHers whining to them. If any EHer is to contact such parties like game creators, or people like Troy Dangerfield (mission editor maker) - let it be the science office, the tactical office or anyone else that actually knows what they're talking about. It's a good chance that our star shatter mod is now in trouble because of people making trouble outside normal procedure - and if I find out that it is, you can be sure I'll complain to the proper authorities about those people.

Science Office Status:

CA: Admiral Darkhill has finished the Windows version of the "Uber Project" (and has the DOS version near ready) and the transport patches for TIE95, XvT and BoP. Its simply incredible was Den has been doing... expect a big medal to be recced very soon:

SCOA: LC Shadd has probably overworked himself on the star shatter project and being WC at the same time... as such he's taking a few weeks off.

SCOA: LT Kweeky has been running and updating the IRCbot in #sco - our channel.

Site: The Science Office site can be found at http://sco.minos.net or via the redirect http://scienceoffice.isCool.net. FA Leeson has added a php news page and is in progress of adding a php file archive. The staff page has been updated to include some pictures of all the staff members, lots of updates done to the patch archive of course, plus some to the FM and OoB - and added the Mutant Ewok Project site.:.

Science Office Projects:

Star Wars - Imperium: The project's goal is to modify the Starshatter game into a viable new platform for primarily the TIE Corps and Infiltrator Wing, perhaps branching out to other SGs as well. This week the project was officially started and got immediately pulled "into the century of the fruitbat" manually by LC Shadd, who's been making excellent progress.

XvT/BoP/TIE95 Ship patches: This project's goal is to add all the original and Order of Battle craft that are still "missing" from these games, like the SSD in TIE and XvT, the Medium Transport in all etc. This project is
drawing closer and closer to its end for especially TIE and XvT: started on BoP and made the needed BHE modules to do so.

Uber Project: Finished! Yay!

Finishing up:

I think that's it - If I've forgotten anything or if you have comments, suggestions or corrections, let me know via email or look us up at #sco. Don't forget that all the projects are described in more detail on the SCO
site.

(Use only mindb_ender@hotmail.com for official SCO mails.) or ICQ (9706474). Preferably do not mail large files to me, but DCC them via IRC - I'm practically always online at #sco, #emperor's_hammer and #tiecorps using the nick MindB_ndr (or variations.)

All my SCO reports are available online as well: you can reach them on the SCO site: http://www.minos.net/~sco/reports/index.html or on the TIE Corps site, CS reports.

Until next time, good luck and have fun!

-=Salute=-

First off, let me apologize for my lack of,.. ermm about everything. Ive started full time work with my Police Department and also added training. That's more than 40+ hours a week, but it wont be lasting too much longer. Ill be starting my 40 hour work weeks very soon. Another reason my time has been limited, my girlfriend flew into town recently and I've been spending as much time with her as I can because she is leaving back out this coming Sunday.

I'll be getting back to my usual routine in the next day or so. But none the less, I am *very* sorry for my lack of work recently. Drinks are on me for the next week. ;)

NEWS:

Star Wars Weekends official kick off!

The 2003 Walt Disney World Star Wars Weekends officially began today at the Disney-MGM Studios in Florida. This is the first of five consecutive weekends of celebration of the Star Wars saga, with celebrity guests, fun activities, costume characters and more.

The guests for this weekend are Anthony Daniels (C-3PO in all six Star Wars films) and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi). Per Star Wars weekend tradition, the special guests take part in a daily parade, sign autographs for fans and take time to answer questions from the crowd.
Daniels, who will reprise his role as C-3PO in Episode III, was very coy in providing any details to the eager crowd about the upcoming film. "I will be going to Australia this summer to participate in the shoot," said Daniels. "Other than that, you're going to have to wait for the surprises until 2005."

Stay tuned to starwars.com early next week for a full round-up of the weekend events, including "Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Star Wars Edition". If you are in the Orlando area this weekend, be sure to catch the excitement and exclusive collectibles.

Star Wars Rouge Squadron III: Rebel Strike announced!

Get back behind the controls of an X-wing fighter or lead assaults against the Empire on foot as the critically acclaimed smash hit action arcade series from LucasArts continues with Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike. Available for the Nintendo GameCube for fall 2003, this intense action game continues the high-flying space battle traditions of previous Rogue Squadron titles, and adds multiplayer, character-based and ground combat into the mix.

Designed and developed by Factor 5 in conjunction with LucasArts, this new title features stunning, movie-like visuals over more than 13 action-packed missions. The battles themselves combine different forms of combat and play: a mission that starts high in the air over Yavin 4 can then turn into a ground-based gunfight with stormtroopers in the jungle, and then return to the air for twisting dogfight action. As with the previous chapters in the series, Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike has a story beneath the gameplay, driving the action and keeping it part of the Star Wars saga.

Among the vessels available for players are the legendary X-wing, Millennium Falcon, Alliance snowspeeder, Imperial speeder bike and AT-ST walker. In character-based combat, players can carry out missions as Luke Skywalker, Wedge Antilles, or Han Solo. The vividly recreated locales include the forests of Endor the frozen plains of Hoth, Bespin's Cloud City and more.

Multiplayer modes encompass co-op endurance, capture-the-base, challenging dogfights and more. In addition, the entire Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader game is available for play in cooperative multiplayer mode. The game also features a comprehensive reward system allowing players to unlock numerous bonus features including extra missions, vehicles, and locations.

Hero of Cartao: Episode I Hero's Call by Timothy Zahn. An excerpt of exclusive fiction appearing in Star Wars Insider #68.

"Ah-Doriana," the stolid face hovering above Doriana's holoprojector greeted him. "You have news?"

"The plant is ready, Commander Roshton," Doriana said. "You may land at your convenience."

"Excellent," Roshton said approvingly. "And in less than one day. You do admirable work."

"I do what the Supreme Chancellor commands," Doriana said with just a hint of warning. In these days of turmoil and suspicion, it never hurt to remind people as to where his loyalties lay. "No more; no less."

"Of course," Roshton agreed calmly. "As do we all."

"Yes," Doriana agreed, glancing out the office canopy at the darkening skylight halfway across the room. "It's nearly nightfall, which is when the Cranscoc do all their serious work. How soon can I expect your people?"

"The first transport's on its way, with the chief techs and operational schematics aboard," Roshton said. "They'll be there in an hour."

"Good," Doriana said. "I'll make sure the Cranscoc are ready. They've already been informed they'll be doing a compete retooling tonight."

"Are you sure a two-thousand-unit contingent will be enough?" Roshton asked, his forehead wrinkling slightly. "I've been doing some research myself, and it looks to me like the plant usually requires over six times that number."

"We're supposed to be a caretaker unit," Doriana reminded him. "It wouldn't look right if we completely repopulated the plant."

"Yes, but --"

"Besides, the majority of those thirteen thousand workers are involved with maintenance, shipping, and raw material movement," Doriana cut him off. "If the Supreme Chancellor decides to extend the operation, we can bring in personnel to handle those aspects. For now, let's concentrate on our mission: to create and stockpile the cloning cylinders we need to create more troops."

"Yes, sir," Roshton muttered. "You'll have your schematics in an hour, with the rest of the transports following at thirty-minute intervals."

"I'll look forward to seeing them, Commander," Doriana said. "Doriana out."

He broke the connection, lowering the holoprojector into his lap as he again looked out of the office. It was an eerie feeling, sitting alone in the middle of such a huge room. Rather like being the last living cell in a dead body, he thought.

Across by the area's control platform, a small motion caught his eye. A group of Cranscoc were wandering around, their footsteps seeming to stutter as they walked. Still beating out their silent music, he decided, perhaps humming along on auditory wavelengths humans couldn't hear.

Strange aliens. Strange technology. But apart from that, a very straightforward job. Lifting his holoprojector again, he punched in a new code.

The connection this time took considerably longer to make. Doriana forced himself to wait patiently, watching the panes of the distant skylight fading toward black.

And then, with a suddenness that somehow always startled him, the ghostly hologram image appeared. "Report," the hooded figure ordered quietly.

"The Spaarti Creations plant has been cleared, Lord Sidious," Doriana said. "The first Republic techs will be landing in an hour, with the rest of the techs, workers, and troops arriving during the night."

"How many troops will there be?"

Doriana hesitated. "I'm not sure," he admitted, bracing himself. Darth Sidious didn't like it when his people didn't have all the answers to his questions. "Palpatine gave that part of the planning to Commander Roshton, and he's been very secretive about his contingent's exact makeup. It can't be more than a thousand clone troopers, possibly as low as five hundred, with Roshton and a few other officers in command."

To his relief, Sidious merely nodded. "Roshton has ambitions of his own, and thinks he knows how to play the game," he said contemptuously. "No matter. Even a thousand troops will not be a problem. What of the owner and the Jedi?"

"They're not happy, but they've bowed to the inevitable," Doriana said. "The only problem may come if Torles decides to check with the Jedi Council directly to confirm the order. They weren't enthusiastic about the idea in the first place, as I told you, and if he catches Yoda or Windu at a bad moment, one of them might decide to unilaterally reverse the decision."

"Even if they so dared, all Torles can do at this point is make noise," Sidious assured him, a malicious edge to his voice. "No, all is going according to plan. You have done well."

"Thank you, my lord," Doriana said, feeling the warmth of relief and pride trickling through him. "Any new orders?"

"Not yet," Sidious said. "Continue as you are, and allow the plan to work itself out." He smiled sardonically. "Report again when things become interesting."

"I will, my lord," Doriana promised.

The hooded head nodded, and the image vanished.

Taking a deep breath, Doriana stood up, sliding the holoprojector back into its belt pouch. So the chance cube had been thrown, and the game was in motion. The next move would be the Republic's.

He paused in the office doorway, listening to the heavy silence and thinking, as he always did at moments like this, about the incredibly thin tightrope he had chosen to walk. Palpatine had no idea that his trusted aide and advisor was in fact the agent of a Dark Lord of the Sith, working in the shadows to destroy everything the Supreme Chancellor stood for. If Palpatine ever discovered the truth . . .

He shook his head firmly. No, that would never happen. Sidious was too powerful, and Doriana himself too clever, to ever allow such a useful relationship to be ruined.

He headed across the empty floor, his footsteps echoing from the high ceiling. Binalie would be waiting at the plant's main entrance for the incoming Republic force. The honored representative of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine should be waiting with him.

One peice of Recon Office news, ROA/COL Firebird (PIN#153) is stepping down as ROA due to IRL constraints. His brief return to active duty was fun, to say the least. His replacement is going to be CM Shay`la DuKahn Ludsorkim (PIN# 5251). CM Shay`la has expressed her views to join the Recon Office and has convinced me of her ability and drive to fulfill her duties as ROA.

I will be making my weekly report this weekend on schedule. Thanks for your patience.

Greetings
Yet another week.. This means my first month as SGCOM is completed, and yes! WE SURVIVED! :)

Next week will be the start of the big reorganization I've been planning with the general staff for a while.. Of course they don't know about it, but they're following my evil plan perfectly! We're so coordinated that without even knowing the schedule, they made to be within it :)

Anyways, to the report:

-MG Zsinj begun this week the site recoding. I had no idea he'd start it this week, but Hurray for Coordination! This recoding includes the refit of all database system and addition of new features.

-The Dark Legionnaire is indeed delayed. I've been talking to XO Cypher, and I told her that I'd be helping with her first issue, but I had been kinda busy with other stuff and as usual, the DL drops a few lines in the ToDo list. But rest assure it will be ready ASAP!

-BC Ironfist has been working lately in the Phoenix Battalion website, and that evolved into the Site templates idea. Let me explain: All units on the lines are supposed to have pages, but many SLs, PC and even CCs lack the knowledge to create a webpage. With that in mind, I requested few different templates to Ironfist, who asked PFC Wolver to develop some templates, so those personnel who can't code, just get one hosted somewhere and we provide a template and technical expertise so all units can have their own sites. It's quite a simple idea, but as my Strategic Planning teacher used to say: 'The obvious must be stated to not be forgotten'

Yes, I know, I'm soo funny tonight.. Maybe it's the time..

-We're having an average of 2-3 new troopers/week, which in my experience is very good. And I mean TROOPERS! Recs that really completed the SSBTC! That will for sure compensate the losses in the nearly ended AWOL Check!

-This AWOL check showed us that some line officers are barely trained to handle those situations, and this has been put in the emergency ToDo list. The very moment FM Ares delivers the new Field Manual, we'll work on a Squad Leader/Platoon Commander course, since the SM/3 doesn't fit us entirely!

That's all for tonight...

/me yawns

Salute!

Intel Report - Trouttrooper Resigns, VA Mordann Appointed SDIR:  05.16.03
As Emailed From:  Former Supreme Director of the Ubiqtorate (AD Troutrooper)

Intelligence Division (ID)

<SALUTE!>

UBIQ: 4
Agents: 32
Praetorian Squadron: 8
Total: 44 (plus a bunch of cadets and reservists)

1. Intelligence Division Competition (From ExDIR Mordann's report...)

The Divisional Competition has finally finished. Those wondering what I'm talking about (the majority,
I assume...) go here:

http://www.ehintel.org/IDComp4/EHID4.htm

My congratulations to those who did participate, particularly those who won :). Some shiny silver ware
(gold, bronze and platinum too) is on it's way... So without further ado:

Overall Scores
1 Analysis Bureau: 162
2 Plexus Bureau: 34
3 Internal Organisation: 18
4 Bureau of Operations: 0

Individual Scores
1 MAJ ANLY 20/15/20/19/19 = 93 - [PoC-pl-glx5]
2 LC PLEXUS 20/14/0/0/0 = 34 - [PoC-glx2-sl]
3 MAJ ANLY 19/12/0/0/0 = 31 - [PoC-slx2-bl]
4 CM INTORG 18/0/0/0/0 = 18 - [PoC-bl]
5 CM ANLY 14/0/0/0/0 = 14
6 SL ANLY 14/0/0/0/0 = 14 - Promotion to LT
7 LT ANLY 10/0/0/0/0 = 10

I must say that participation was severely lacking in this comp. Yes, times have been crazy since this comp was unveiled, but that should not mean everyone can simply ignore the competitions. Participating is quick and easy and shouldn't take more than half an hour. 30 minutes over a month = 1 minute/day. If you can't manage that for the ID, we need to talk.

2. Ehintel.org

The ID website has been acting oddly lately. I don't know why. I have contacted the webmaster (INQ/FA Stalker5) about it. Also, any emails sent to any ehintel.org address (including ubiq@ehintel.org ) have NOT
been received, so please resend to bored_of_darkness@yahoo.co.uk

3. BOO BUDR

Another week, another BUDR "resigns". The last BOO BUDR took the job only as a temporary replacement, and though he wanted to remain BUDR, he is too busy in RL. No apps, please.

4. Something from Plexus...

COMMANDER: We're in attack position now, sir.
PIETT: Hold here.
COMMANDER: We're not going to attack?
PIETT: I have my orders from the Emperor himself. He has something special planned for them. We only need to keep them from escaping.

5. Praetorian Squadron

Prae continues its assault on the Sov league, taking 3rd (4th?) this week. An amazing feat considering they have been working with only 5 members (they just got a fresh batch of pilots this week). Congrats!

I just updated the meeting award board, so everyone should have their meeting medals. Sorry about the delay on some of those.

7. Retirement

Last, but certainly not least, is the subject of my retirement. This is my 35th and final report as SDIR. I have several reasons for leaving. First and foremost, I have lost all motivation for the position. SDIR has been a blessing and the most fun I've had in the EH. Yet between RL and SDIR, I've been running myself ragged. I just graduated from grad school and want to enjoy my last summer of freedom. I don't want to be sitting here doing nothing while Intel suffers. I will walk away now with my head held high knowing that I did the best job I could as SDIR.

And that leads me to my second point. I would not resign if I did not have a capable replacement, and VA Mordann is far more than capable. He has proven time and again to be a reliable righthand man and will be a great SDIR, perhaps better than me :D I have strongly recommended him for SDIR to the FC and XO, so after the usual SGCOM recc processing time (about 1 week, though I sent the recc in early to facilitate the process), Mordann will assume control of the ID.

And since this is the last chance I'll have to do this, I'm opening the Intel Medal Chest one last time...[Note: other awards will come in the mail separately due to that whole "secret agent identities" clause :D)

All Plexus agents (including the BUDR and one who recently resigned): For your hard work, I hereby award all of you Golden Medallions of Foresight (GMoF)!

All IntOrg agents: For being my little band of spies, I award you two weapons each! Obviously I cannot say publicly what each of you now have, so if you don't know, just ask :)

RA Aseret Thunderhawk: For your long-time service to the ID, I hereby award you a Lambda-class Shuttle ([SHU-<you get to name the ship :D>])!

VA Mordann: In addition to your SDIR recc, there's something else that you'll probably want to add to your idline. If anyone wants to know why I am awarding Mordann a HoI, just read above. This was by far the easiest and happiest recc of them all :D

I love awarding Intel medals because it's fun and recognition in the ID is so rare. Intel is the most difficult subgroup around. We cannot reveal ourselves to our friends, we're hated by fleet members, and all we get for doing a good job is a virtual pat on the back from our bureau leaders. No recognition of any kind, even if we win a competition. Heck, our pilots, Praetorian squadron, are reviled not because they kick everyone's ass, but because they "steal pilots".

Yet our services are essential to the success of the fleet. At the most basic level, our job is to protect the EH from external and internal threats. Without us, the EH would not be nearly as successful as it is. Anyone who questions our role in the fleet doesn't understand the full complexity of our role in the fleet.

We're vital to the fleet yet despised by those we protect; it is this dichotomy that makes Intel the most difficult subgroup around. We endure because we love the EH and want to do everything in our power to make it succeed. If you do not love the EH 100%, then you should not be in Intel.

Although I'm resigning from SDIR, I will stick around. You can always reach me at troutrooper@yahoo.com or on AIM (troutrooper64) or IRC. Heck, I might even take a position elsewhere in the fleet, I haven't decided yet.

Before I go, I want to thank all Intel members, from the newest cadets to the UBIQ veterans. Y'all have made these past 8 months the most enjoyable of my EH career.

<SALUTE!>

Fringe Report from Chief Game Master Zem

Report of May 16, 2003
Report #6

Sirs:

With the approval of the new organization of the Fringe, calls have gone out for players and Game Masters. So far noone within the Fringe has responded, I expect that to change once I release the new format, and write up the manual to reflect this. I also plan to look for an Instructor soon, and then (in conjunction with the TO and the new Instructor) set up at least one, if not a series of courses designed to help people with the basics of Star Wars role-playing. I do not intend these to be like the old CHAR and RPG courses, but more based on understanding how to role-play.

MUD and Galaxies have nothing much to report.

I will let you know now, that the weekend of May 30-June 2, I will be away. I plan to start a Fringe adventure before then, but if not, I will definitely start it upon my return. I would much appreciate a headline in the next EH News update that RPG players and GMs are wanted for the Fringe. Thank You.

LA Report #10:  05.16.03
As Emailed From:  Lord Ambassador (VA Darknyte)

EH Advanced Guard

May 16, 2003
Lord Ambassador's Report
VA Darknyte

Here we go, come on in and get set for another ultra-hip and uber-sweet LA report. Not a whole lot happened in the world this week, but I'll do my best to report what did go down.

First off, the EH/RS alliance is now officially dead. I won't go into great detail, but suffice it to say that alliances were made, words were exchanged, negotiations never really got off the ground, and when the dust settled the EH and RS had parted ways. I worked very hard on this alliance and it's sad for me to see it die, but all things come to an end and this was no exception.

More news on TRIC, it just keeps getting stranger and stranger folks. This week I spoke to their leader who expressed his disappointment for the way his XO had acted and for his own actions on IRC. Already I've received an apology from their leader for his own actions, but he promises one on behalf of the club will be forthcoming. I've awaited it all week and as yet have not seen it, so my hopes aren't up, but I'd like to see it come nonetheless. Maybe we can put this ugly incident behind us and try to build a friendship with them.

This week also saw the first Medal of Allegiance awarded in a long time, as a matter of fact...I've been around the EH for about 3 years off and on and I can't remember one ever being awarded so this was a big day. For those who don't know, the MoA is the only medal the EH has that is only for non-members. The medal is awarded by the FC for outstanding service, support, or duty to the EH. The EH honored GA Jon Ardan of the Dark Empire club this week by bestowing this medal upon him. I received word from Ardan and he wishes to express his thanks for the medal and to humbly state what a great honor it is for him to be recognized by the EH and given such a rare award. Also instrumental in this medal being awarded was Darksaber, the ATF BGCOM. His work with Dark Empire as of late has been top notch, if not for his efforts in keeping me updated on the Dark Empire's policies and speaking on behalf of Ardan I would have had no idea just how much Ardan had been doing to support the EH with the Dark Empire. Way to go Darksaber!

The roster is being shifted this week, yet again. Due to inactivity, failure to respond to me on AIM, and failure to respond to emails sent for more than 3 weeks, the Magister Equitem Jacob van Nowak is being replaced. Congrats go out to the MAG-elect (still pending FO approval) Destavol Gin. I don't anticipate any objections from the FO on this one since he usually just goes with my roster changes, so as of now Destavol is the Acting MAG until his title is finalized. What I need now is for every member who wishes to remain in the AG to report in to Destavol in the next couple days.

Later this week, I'll be doing some house cleaning to get rid of the dead weight and streamline the AG so we can get some work done. Since I took over as the LA I've been doing most of the work here myself, I've decided it's time for the AG to start doing it's job and supporting the LA and being EH diplomats, so this is a heads up to you all. The roster-idling days have come to an end, from here on everyone will do his share.

I've started a preliminary idea for an interclub comp, details are not available yet. Things need to be coordinated with the COO, TAC, TO, and the other clubs before anything can be decided, but if it goes off as I'd like to see it happen, it will be massive and fun for all. More details as they develop.

Lastly, on a personal note...lately, I've started to grow a frustrated by a few things. I'll be taking a break from most EH IRC for an indefinite amount of time. I will still be here and still be active, but don't count on seeing me on IRC daily for a while. I need some time to myself to sort a few things out. I'll still attend meetings as I can and make appearances on IRC to chat from time to time, but for the near future that'll be the limit of my IRC presence. If you have need of me, simply AIM me at Darknyte22 or fire off an email to darknye@alltel.net I'm usually on AIM when I'm online and I always check my email a few times a day. Once I get my mind cleared, I'll make a return to IRC, but for now I feel it's best if I just give it a rest.

That's about it for this week, tune in next time for another eye-gouging, leg-locking, double-axehandle(sorry..been watching pro wrestling today) edition of the LA's report...cue the music, dim the lights....CUT! That's a rap folks, let's pack it in and go home!

Rebel Squadrons Choose to Ally with rDB - RS/EH Alliance Terminated:  05.13.03
As Emailed By:  Fleet Commander of the Rebel Squadrons (Rahj)

"To the Emperor's Hammer Leadership,

Since the RS' inception, the membership of the Rebel Squadrons has firmly believed that as participants of an online Star Wars gaming organization, we are, first and foremost, here to focus on having fun in an expanded Star Wars universe. In the spirit of this ideal, the RS also strongly believes that the purpose of entering any alliance is exclusively due to the enhancement of that experience. Recent events, however, have changed this understanding between our two clubs. It is unfortunate, therefore, that the Emperor's Hammer has chosen to not only nullify our alliance, but to do so under a false pretense.

The alliance between the Dark Brotherhood organization and the Rebel Squadrons is simply intended to increase the opportunities we can offer our memberships to both have fun in the expanded Star Wars universe we both enjoy role-playing in everyday. A similar alliance was made with the EH for the same reason. Therefore, the non-fictional tensions, problems, and grievances between the Emperor's Hammer and Dark Brotherhood have no place in the Rebel Squadrons. Furthermore, the internal squabblings of the EH are not the RS' business, nor should they be.

Accordingly, while we once valued our alliance with the Emperor's Hammer, the non-fictional conflict between the Emperor's Hammer and the Dark Brotherhood is not ours, and our policy demands our non-involvement throughout the continuation of this "conflict". The Rebel Squadrons has explicitly informed the EH that the RS, "will assist as best we can within the bounds of our own guidelines and will continue to enthusiastically maintain our end of the alliance agreement. That is the extent of the position the RS will take." In no way, shape, or form, did the RS ever indicate or promise that the RS would not ally with the Dark Brotherhood, which has been falsely alleged by the EH Fleet Commander and Lord Ambassador on numerous occasions. The entirety of the single email correspondence in reference to this issue has already been in plain view on the EH Message board at http://www.ehnet.org/mb/viewtopic.php?t=5182&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=30 for quite some time. You will notice that no mentions of such statements were made to give the EH FC and EH LA the false impression that this was in any way true. Accordingly, the statement of, "FC Rahj has reneged on him email promise to back us up and not support/ally with the rDB" is absolutely false. In fact, by maintaining our non-involvement, we have indefinitely remained within the bounds of our own guidelines (as we suggested), while continuing to keep the RS/EH alliance more than intact. Furthermore, the RS/EH specific alliance agreement (http://www.rebelsquadrons.org/oea/emperorshammer.php) originally said absolutely nothing about what clubs the EH or RS could or could not ally with. As a result, the members of the Rebel Squadrons strongly sense that the EH can, at best, respectfully request such things of the RS, and nothing more.

Plainly put, the Rebel Squadrons has done nothing to violate our original alliance agreement, yet the personal, nonfictional politics of the EH Fleet Commander have seemingly put our relationship to an end once again. Therefore, it is actually the Emperor's Hammer that is "reneging" on our alliance, and not the RS. The RS, as previously stated in personal correspondences and by the aforementioned email, never had any intention to submit to such a demand, and always had every intention of making this the alliance our two clubs intended and envisioned it to be from the beginning.

On top of these false allegations, the Emperor's Hammer has not even had the respect or foresight to formally notify the Rebel Squadrons of the cancellation of our alliance by the Emperor's Hammer. A display of such disrespect and disregard, along with the malice and lies concocted against my good name as the sole justification provided for the EH's dismissal of the RS/EH alliance (in front of the entire EH membership no less), seemingly more and more gives increased merit to the widespread dissatisfaction found in your club.

As the Emperor's Hammer Lord Ambassador has recently stated, "It's a bit of a pity that it had to come to this, but sometimes a few people can ruin it for an entire group as their few members did for them." Such a perspective has now seemed to come full circle.

On behalf of the Rebel Squadrons and Rebel Squadrons High Command,

Fleet Commander Rahj Tharen,
Rebel Squadrons Commanding Officer
fc@rebelsquadrons.org

The Rebel Squadrons A H.I.E.R. Organization

And my response...

-------------------------------------------------------

You've got to be kidding me, right ? First off, I hadn't officially terminated anything...

Secondly...Here's the "promise" you sent me and Darknyte on 4/13/03...AND let us not forget our long AIM conversation on the same day (which I thought was a respectful thing for me to do...you to hear it from me before anyone else)...Which you similarly so conveniently seem to have forgotten since...Don't go switching stances just to please me...LOL

"Ronin and Darknyte -

Ronin was able to talk to me about this issue briefly on AIM, but I figured it would also be pertinent to put this in writing as well. As such, this specific internal happening in the Emperor's Hammer will in no way effect our current alliance standing. It will continue to stand fully intact. We did not go through that entire alliance process simply to have it torn apart by some dissidents, regardless of what club they come from. To do so would be entirely irrational to me. As a result, the Rebel Squadrons will assist as best we can within the bounds of our own guidelines and will continue to enthusiastically maintain our end of the alliance agreement. That is the extent of the position the RS will take.

Furthermore, the RS Deputy Operations Officer that Darknyte referred to seems to have done nothing more than spout some "big talk". I recently spoke to him (Kelric) anticipating that he would attempt to bring up anything about the current RS/EH alliance, but he did nothing of the sort. At best, he only wondered if I knew what had happened. Therefore, I think everyone is okay on that front and he was simply blowing off some steam if he ever said anything like that before.

With that said, the RS certainly appreciates the heads up. Just keep in mind that like you guys (Ronin, Astatine, Darknyte, etc) and the EH, we are the only ones speaking on behalf of the RS. Everything else and anyone else is irrelevant and blowing smoke.

Rahj"

-------------------------------------------------------

Now, maybe it's just me but ... NOW, you seem to side with those "dissidents"...odd, that doesn't sound like "assistance" to me...?

Now, that meant to me that you would NOT seek an active alliance with the rDB (or allow one to be created with you in the first place ! )...That was some "assistance" you gave us, thanks, really ! :)

As for "formal notification", I told you via AIM SEVERAL DAYS AGO (after trying for nearly 30 mins via AIM to explain our legitimate claim that the rDB had STOLEN EH materials and convince you otherwise) that the RS had a choice to make...But you seemed to not believe me that the rDB had stolen from us...However, these infractions were heavily documented and detailed on our Domain for weeks...I should also mention, now that we're talking about "courtesy" that you neglected to inform me of your alliance with the rDB...I had to find out via the rDB message boards !!!

Now, as a reportedly responsible member of the online community; the RS has taken an about face and apparently chosen to support those that steal and plagiarize from the EH...And it's our fault we don't want to associate with those that "ally" themselves with such a club...? Your rote response during our AIM discussions has been "we don't want to be involved"...Btw, what is the RS, Switzerland Online ?... So, it seems you've made your choice...I hope that the RS and rDB will be very happy together...LOL, I hadn't even removed the RS links from our Domain yet...But if you're in such a hurry, I am more than happy to oblige...

I will immediately remove all RS links from the EH Domain this evening and likewise request that you remove all references or links to the EH from all RS websites...

You will learn, Rahj...that there is more to running a LARGE online club than simple words...There are principles of what is right and wrong...You choose to trust those that steal from the EH over the EH, such is your right...However, there are consequences to such actions...Namely that the EH can not formally have anything to do with the RS...From here on out, ever...

And FYI, you know NOTHING about me except for our half dozen AIM discussions and a few emails, so don't you dare to presume to lecture me on how I run the EH or what its state of affairs is....I have not insulted or disrespected you or the RS as such and expect the same respect in return...Despite your implied insults and what the rDB may have told you, they only have ~100-200 members...and already some of their membership is seeking re-admittance to the EH...

FYI: I have been doing this for going on 9 years and the EH is the largest online SW gaming club on the web...Who do you think will be around for the next 10 years...? the rDB or the EH ? Think about it...

But I respect your decision, so I wish you and the RS the best of luck in your future endeavors and have a good day...!

GA Ardan of the Dark Empire Awarded the EH Medal of Allegiance:  05.09.03
As Recommended By:  Lord Ambassador (VA Darknyte)

(Please see Operations Manual for medal descriptions)

"Medal of Allegiance - The Medal of Allegiance is awarded to individuals who are not members of the Emperor's Hammer or it's subgroups and who have provided a service to the Fleet."

Well, right now I would like to recommend GA Ardan the FC of the Dark Empire. He's been a staunch ally of the EH ever since we first opened relations with DE ... dunno when that was, before I took LA though. In recent times, he's been fully supportive of the EH and it's policies as well as very welcoming to any EHer who joins his club. If anyone is deserving of this award, I think it's Ardan...so, this is my formal rec for your consideration...I'd love to be able to present this award to Ardan as a thank you for all he's done to support the EH's good name lately.

Tactical Office Report #88
by TAC/AD Marcin "Mike" Szydlowski #3203
( pbmike@go2.pl )

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mr Homolka. Stop eating my sasame cake. STOP EATING MY SESAME CAKE!

This week was much better than previous one. Although I am still extremaly busy with my real life, but I found more time for EH. This fruits in number of new battles released. A lot of new stuff for all 4 platforms. That's good and TAC3K is closer. Only 106 missions to go.

Also, my CA has resigned, and this week I had to do everything on my own. But ya know, I am not as bad and lazy as they tell, so I did everything from HSs checking to hiring/processing new staff. So my counter jumped up to 1743 approved/processed HSs. And 106th person has been added to Tactical Database. This means over 100 different people worked for Tactical Office now and then. I am happy with that.

My new CA:TAC has been selected. I have mailed GA Ronin and SA Astatine with my suggestiong and I am waiting for their approval. But I am sure they won't have any problems with this person. His HSs checking and mission creation experience will help me a lot. And of course, I will teach him new things and prepare him to take over while I'm on leave or gone :)

As for other things. Rumor about my resignation or my being fired by GA Ronin, are not true. Someone who told you that is lying. So don't listen to all what they say about me. Truth lies in the middle. Remember that :)

IW battles updated
As you know all IW battles were special. They had weird numbers, without any order. After agreement with IWTAC about 2 months ago, I have finally managed to make the normal. So they are no in good order. I am sure there won't be any problems with that. You get use to it, and it will be fine.

XWA and XvT/BoP staff sought
I have fired a lot of people recently so we are now searching for replacements. XWA TCTs and XvT/BoP TCTs are needed. We don't need testers anymore so don't apply. All requirements can be found on Mission Creation Forum. Apply to me and TCC of the platform you wish to join. If you cannot find email of TCC, then don't apply. Also, ALWAYS include your PIN in your application. No PIN = application denied! I mean it.

Final warning
I am sick of people who do no read report or new, so I am going to say it last time. From now on, every mail to me, asking about update, wrong BSF, application, ect will be ignored. I encourage you all to add your PINs and emails to your ID lines, so it will be easier for us, command staff. Thank you for your attention.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TAC3K countdown!
More battles and missions released and we are very close to our ultimate goal! We need only 106 to reach TAC3K! Good work Tactical Staff, keep it up!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mission Creation Corner
Thanks to COL Frodo for sending his ideas. Here they are

Always make sure that any craft Entering an SSD In BoP has high A.I, or else it crashes into it.
XvT/BoP Mission files can never exceed the size of 200KB, or else XvT Crashes

Always un-install the MIS patch before you put on the SMIS patch for anything, creating or flying!
XvT/Bop Can only have 19 messages with sounds attached, although #s 17, 18, 19 are reserved for specific messages.

You can always add more then one condition for any Goal, Order, Message, or Arrival, just click on the (always True) or (no Order) in the blue box and add away;)

The #0 briefing string is reserved for the XvTED Windows heading, don't use it for the briefing!
The easiest way to get a ship to remain immobile, but face a certain position, is to assign it a waypoint!
Make sure you enable a waypoint when you set one, you do this by clicking where it says the waypoint's name, example: If I set Waypoint 1 as X=5.00 Y=5.00 Z=5.00, then I click on were it says Waypoint 1 in the Waypoint screen until it gets Highlited in blue.

The "No lazers" status never works for a player fighter craft...you get lazers anyway.
Make sure you never give an order to "attack targets: Type *X*" if there is any of that type of ship in your team aswell, or else your wingmen will attack it.

Oath of Loyalty
New mission creation competition starts on June 1st. It's about EH vs rDB situation and it's been approved by GA Ronin himself. I guess it's worth trying, so keep your pants on and get ready to rock :)

Uber Project (SCO Part) ender, Project Shield (TAC part) started
Thanks to hard work of SCO staff, Uber Project has been completed. It's highly classified project and I can truly say: the greatest achievement in the history of EH. Cheating will not be possible anymore. Now, when SCO guys have finished their part, I am starting my part. It will take me some time, but as soon as I will finish no cheater will escape our justice. LONG LIVE THE EH!

Flight Office

No, your eyes are not deceiving you. This is indeed a Flight Office report.

News

Promotions

Two promotions were announced at last night's TIE Corps meeting...congratulations to Avenger CMDR LC Dax Corrin on his promotion to Colonel and also congrats to Wing IV WC, Major Wolverine on his promotion to Lieutenant Colonel. Both are well deserved rewards for hard working members of the Fleet.

General Drake Resigns

The Wing Commander of Wing IX on the Relentless has stepped down from his position due to an increasingly hectic RL. The Flight Office extends its gratitude to Drake for his many months of dedication to his command.

Applications are NOT yet being accepted for the position. If/When they are, details will be posted on the TC news page.

On a related subject, the new Wing Commander for Wing VIII on the Colossus has been selected. This will be announced once final approval has been given by the relevant parties.

Flight Member Ranks

The Fleet Commander has given approval for the extension of the maximum rank of Flight Members from LCM to CM. To be eligible for a FM/LCM -> FM/CM promotion, the pilot must have been in his current position for no less than THREE months. As always when considering a promotion, activity during the past months must also be a deciding factor. Simply sitting around for three months is not enough.

Until the database is updated, send all such promotions to me by email and I'll approve them manually. The Training Manual, Fleet Standing Orders and Squadron Management notes will be updated to reflect the change shortly.

Training Officer On Leave

TO/AD Keldorn is now on leave until the 24th of this month. During his absence I will be approving all competitions and his TOA, Major Devin, will handle the relevant IWATS courses.

TIE Corps Meeting

Every Sunday @ 9PM GMT / 4PM EST in #tiecorps, Undernet.

Thanks to all who attended last night's weekly TC meeting. The trivia was hosted by LCM Dash Rendar, and won by VA Andronicus.

Respectfully,

Internet Office News

For those of you who are still in the dark or living in caves, as of Sunday, May 4, 2003, www.emperorshammer.org got a brand new look. EH.org 2003 is the culmination of an intensive project the IO has been working on for over 2 months. Everyone involved was quite well rewarded: Keldorn, who did the graphics and the splash image got an Imperial Cross (IC). Leeson, who organized the project and did the HTMLization and Flash, became the first Command Attach to receive the rank of Fleet Admiral. Xander Drax, who modified Keldorn's original design and splash image, received a Gold Star. Drako, who did the navigational imagemap received a Silver Star, and Alex Foley who did the quick-access buttons received a Bronze Star. I also received the rank of High Admiral, and my thanks to GA Ronin for that and for awarding the rest of the awards to my excellent staff.

Not waiting much after that, Xander Drax has already begun working on a new design for EHNet. The design is much more fitting for the site of an "Internet Office" and though it will not prominently feature Natalie Portman's midriff, we plan to stick in a few surprise easter eggs in there :)

FA Leeson is currently working on an IO-brand Flash radio player designed for WEHR. This will allow you to listen to WEHR from any computer without Winamp or any other program other than a browser with Flash support.

We are currently investingating other areas of expansion. If you have any ideas for projects for the Internet Office, please contact me.

I'd like to remind EH webmasters: If you are interested in obtaining a client for the EHNet Login System (ELS), please contact me. The ELS is a very powerful system that will allow most people in the EH (as of now, 570 handles are registered) to use your site. It's highly flexible and adaptable to your needs, and it comes with instructions, but I will only provide client logins to experienced PHP programmers who have shown they can handle it well.

Admiral Keldorn Reporting 9th May 2003

http://www.emperorshammer.ca/

<SALUTE>

As I mentioned in last weeks report, I will be going on leave shortly: I will be officially on a LoA from Saturday 10th May 2003 to approximately Friday 23rd May 2003. There is a distinct possibility that I will indeed have access to the internet and e-mail, but responses may be sporadic, or have to be dealt with upon my return. High Admiral Patel has agreed to review all Competition submissions, while my Assistant, Major Taralis, will grade the Courses that I am responsible for (CORE, IIC, mIRC and XML).

Lieutenant Tek Selkirk of the ISD Immortal joins IWATS as the X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter Tactics (XTT) Professor. Congratulations!

My congratulations are extended to all those Officers who were recently promoted (most notably, High Admiral Ari) and sincere thanks for my own award go out to the Internet Officer and the Fleet Commander.

The new Active Server Page (ASP) Professor will be announced upon my return from leave.

The Training Office is now accepting Course proposals. With stability now re-established within IWATS, and a full compliment of IWATS Staff on the near horizon, I have decided to re-open the Office to proposals of new Courses to be included in the IWATS repertoire. There are few restrictions upon proposals; I am open to many diverse and innovative ideas, and would like to encourage the proposal of specifically non-programming Courses at this time.

Operations Office Report:  05.08.03
As Emailed From:  Operations Officer (AD Khaine)

Operations Office

This week marks over 1500 medal recommendations (1512 at time of writing) processed. Other than that the most important news item is the end of the Operations Office survey, and it comes as no real surprise that from the responses I received, and thank you to those that took the time to reply, that there is one recurring issue.

Of those that replied, many found the conditions or criteria listed in the Operations Manual to be vague, inconsistent and confusing. Furthermore, the conditions covered some things or activities that a member performed, but not others leading to inconsistencies between such activities as single-layer versus multi- layer flying which forms a major component of many members' activities.

Other comments were more general, though they are much appreciated, and I will hopefully be able to incorporate those suggestions into a revamped Operations Manual.

That's it for this week,

<SALUTE>

This weekend I hope to try and enhance EH meetings and increase attendance. I'm going to pre-prepare CO announcements (based on reports) in case of people not showing up. The idea being that there will be information actually presented at the meeting. Another idea that I will be implementing will be trivia after the EH meeting. The winner of the weekly trivia in #EH will get an IS-BR. If meeting attendance is over 80, the winner will receive an IS-SR.

The EH Meeting logs site is 90% complete. I have gone through some several hundred logs...

I've uploaded the meeting log archives to my site at http://theholo.net/logs/. I still have many logs to add or find yet, so it's not totally complete. But still, it has all the logs that Ronin sent me from his personal EH meeting archives.

Hammer's Fist (EH Stormtroopers)

Member Count (With Training Platoon): 127
Member Count (With Homeguard - Full): 180

Greetings!
Yes, on time this week! Ill be on a very short leave after this meeting until Sunday (mother's day celebrations and such) but no worries! HFs XO, Col Cypher, will be on a short leave until 14th, and CRO Lander will leave Wednesday with expected return by may 23rd.

-Some time ago we cleaned the house a little and awoled lots of recruits that been idling in Orion (Training Platoon) for few months, and we started a HF-wide AWOL Check last Monday. Its to end by may 19th. I'm expecting a 20% to 30% loss in this period, since it was a while since we could actually run a complete AWOL Check.

-Once this AWOL Check is over, we'll re-manage all troopers and fit our platoons to a new structure. Currently we have 9men/squad, 4squads/platoon, and we'll change it to 7men/squad, 3squads/platoon. Minimum of 5 trooper/squad. This way we hope to fill more squads and open both #3 Platoons (Vehement and Corona).

-Specialist Gutt is the first Supreme Tactical Commander, of HFs Tactical Command, and he's already preparing the material to fulfill our SWGB needs.

-COL Cypher stepped down as Agent in Command of the Prefect's Royal Guard, our JK/JK2 unit, and 2LT VinDoros is the new AIC. Also we had some few minor changes in the PRG structure, like new ranks.

-I got an idea last week, and it was not a good one, but it worked! :) The Hammer's Fist now have 3 avatars in the Message board, and I'm working on at least 3 more! Nothing much, but marks our presence there! Perhaps someday we might get invited to the big gala parties in SSSD Sovereign! :)

-A person I know started the production of Imperial Stormtrooper armors. I couldn't quite find if the CoCs have anything against it, so I let him post 1 message in our MB, advertising the armors, and he agreed to return to the EH a percentage of the sales he get thought us! I've bought 2 costumes from him, and he's quite reliable, that's why I let him walk into our domains. If there's any problem, please point me and I'll delete the post promptly.

That's all, till next Friday!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Greetings from the office of the Infiltrator Wing Commander!

At last... the new version of the IWCOM report is complete! :) A bit late, but I hope you will appreciate the work I put into the design of the IWCOM report.

By far the biggest news this last two weeks is that as of now, the Infiltrator Wing finally has a domain site and an operational online roster, located at: www.infiltrator-wing.com (note, changed from .org to .com). For those of you who link to the IW site via a link banner, you will find the updated version (.com) at the bottom of this report.

As far as the operational status of the website is concerned, it is, unfortunately, nowhere near 100% operational status, but it is now already much more than our old site was, and it is being worked on continuously thanks to the valiant efforts of our IWSE, Brevet Admiral Timmay! Next highest priority development on the site are the BSFs and the Pilot Flight Records, a feature never before owned by the IW.

New IW Training Officer (IWTO)

It is with a sad heart that I approve the resignation of Rear Admiral Gavin Strongarm from the position of the IWTO. You have made the IWTA as great as it is today, and it wouldn't happen without you. Also, the fact that RA Strongarm is the sole sponsor of the IW is also a big thing, for all you out there who didn't know, it is RA Strongarm who volunteered AND paid for the IW domain and webspace hosting.

I give you my word as the IWCOM and as a friend that we shall not let your work fade away, but shall work to preserve and enrich it so that it will forever remain a reminder to your accomplishments for all IWers, present and future.

As per RA Strongarm's recommendations the new IW Training Officer is RA Triji Boliv.

Congratulations, once again, of your promotion, admiral!

IW Domination

The Infiltrator Wing Domination competition hosted by Major Orzon has come to an end. Results are posted at the competition homepage.

1. This week, Vice President of Operations Thorin Oakenshield resigned from his position and left the Emperor's Hammer to join the Army. I'd like to thank Thorin for the work he's put into this division, and also for his kind words in his resignation letter - which can be viewed as VPO Report #15. Unfortunately, his going away competition failed... something we've got to look into.

2. Details on possible new changes will be flying around the Direx Board this week, so remember... if you have any ideas of your own - please email me at EHTrow@aol.com, anything is welcome. Also, keep your eyes out for any news.

3. Vice President of Operations will remain OPEN for the time being, but applications will not be accepted at the moment. So please, hold onto your applications.

4. Carried on from last week, remember to use the message board!

Also, use IRC to communicate with others. If you haven't got IRC go to www.mirc.com and download the latest version, then go onto the Undernet and into channel #corporate_division in particular.

News finished.

Number of active ID agents: about 45
Number of limbs I'd cut off if I was trapped beneath a boulder: 0

Short report this week because I'm graduating :D

1. ID Competition

We're in the home stretch! Only 5 more days to go!

Divisional Competition

http://www.ehintel.org/IDComp4/EHID4.htm

Scores stand exactely as they were last week because no-one has sent me any more entries... (growl) ANLY: 134; PLEX: 34; BOO: 32 I've only had one entry for each of phases 3, 4 and 5, so if anyone sends something in before the new deadline (14th May) they're practically guaranteed a PoC-sl or PoC-bl...

2. Activity

I know things in the EH have been crazy of late, but that does not mean you can slack on your ID duties. If you ever feel as though you have nothing to do, ask your BUDR or the UBIQ for a task. Or you can participate in the monthly ID competition. The more you do, the more you will enjoy your Intel experience :D

3. No meeting log

Iceman, remember: wait 15 minutes before starting without me :)

Imperial Senate Report #20:  05.09.03
As Emailed From:  Chancellor Kallath

Imperial Senate

 News

Last week was extremely hectic for me (RL wise), but weve gotten quite a bit accomplished. Firstly, our database problem is solved. Hardcore coding will commence early next week as soon as former Chancellor Orv completes his final exams. As soon as hes done, the database will presumably be up within a month (for real this time). Until then, former Minister Blackblade has created a temporary site (although it doesnt have the look of a temporary site) located here: http://senate.ehnet.org. Its quite beautifully done, although all the links/rosters havent been coded in yet. I have no doubt thatll be fully functional by Monday.

Speaking of Dakkon, hes your new Deputy Chancellor. I dont think anyone has dedicated more to the Senate in the past 3 or 4 months than he has. He is the only person to ever contribute anything significant to the University, completing two of the most informative and difficult exams in the Emperors Hammer (ARG/1 and ARG/2). He also served as Minister of Education, albeit for a short period, and coded some necessary features of the IU site. Unfortunately, former Vice Minister Xura Verr was among the DB secessionists, leaving us without a new Minister of Communication. Back to Dakkon, though, Im also awarding him an [EoS] for his outstanding (I know I overuse that word, but Dakkon is one person who truly deserves it) dedication and perseverance (and I also know its difficult serving under me, heheh).

On to other things, though. Because we dont have a membership to facilitate an election, Ive decided to select a Senator Prime for the long road ahead. Fleet Admiral Karva Dronaal, known most prominently for being a former Grand Moff of the Directorate and locally as being Aide to the Chancellor, will take the role until weve a suitable membership to have an election (which might not be for a while). He has taken the liberty of creating a website ( http://pages.prodigy.net/allansmarkowitz/spr ), which seems very appropriate for a governmental office. Weve spoken at great length concerning the Senate and, from what Ive gathered, theres no one better suited for the job.

We still have a relatively empty High Council, however, and I direly need one before the database and all its features are completed. This means that Im opening all High Council positions for applications. Minister of Records, Minister of Communication, Minister of Education, and Minister of State are all vacant and available for any EH member to apply. Applications are to be sent to me ( chs@emperorshammer.org ) and Dep. Chancellor Blackblade ( sendakkon@yahoo.com ). The requirements for each are as follows:

HC-3: Minister of Records (M:REC)

The Minister of Records is responsible for approving all medals below [EoS] and maintaining the Senates rosters, which includes transfers, updating personal information, and the Senates primary mailing list. He is to have a copy of not only the main Senate/Planet rosters, but the roster of every Party as well. The M:REC also approves all promotions below the rank of Exarch .

Requirements:

-High online presence
-Quick e-mail response time
-Must use AIM
-Ability to submit weekly reports
-HTML knowledge
-Ability to create (or get someone else to create) and maintain a website
-Familiarity with Senate Awards

HC-4: Minister of Education (M:EDU)

The Minister of Education has the job of maintaining the Senates institution of learning, the Imperial University. He is in charge of appointing new Professors, approving new courses, tutoring new applicants, keeping the Core Exam up to date, and maintaining an accurate roster of graduates from all courses.

Requirements:

-High online presence
-Quick e-mail response time
-Must use AIM
-A sample of writing (story, essay, exams youve written elsewhere in the EH)
-HTML knowledge
-Willingness to write new exams
-Ability to work with and hire a unique staff of individuals
-Needs to have Ideas
-Knowledge of a variety of topics (political theory, physics, history, etc)

HC-5: Minister of Communication (M:COMM)

The Minister of Communication is responsible for maintaining the Senates main website and message board, ensuring that they are accurate and moderated properly.

Requirements:

-High online presence
-Quick e-mail response time
-Must use AIM
-PHP knowledge (ability to code rosters, news pages, report admin, etc.)
-Ability to maintain a website
-HTML knowledge

HC-6: Minister of State (M:STA)

The Minister of State is responsible for the appointment of Senators to their respective planets. It is his duty to closely monitor planetary activities and the amount of activity contributed by each delegate. Additionally, he renders planetary scenarios/issues, competitions, and legislation. All information pertaining to representation and planets can be obtained from the Minister of State.

Requirements:

-Extremely high online presence
-Quick e-mail response time
-Must use AIM
-HTML knowledge
-Ability to maintain a website
-A sample of writing (story, essay, etc)
-An extent of political, ethical, philosophical, historical, and scientific proficiency
-Ability to think of a variety of issues and scenarios and potential solutions
-Creativity and intelligence

Youll notice that some requirements are rather out of the ordinary. Thats because some of these positions are quite unique and new to the Senate (even to the EH). The Minister of State, for example, will probably have to be the most active member of the Senate. He or she, along with me, will be creating and administering a wide variety of planetary issues that are often intertwined with Senate competitions, or which may lead to Senate competitions, or which may lead to other planetary or senate issues, or which may lead to planetary conflicts. Hence, itll require a lot of knowledge. Im mainly look outside the Senate for this complex a position, but Im definitely looking at several current members for Minister of Records.

 Additional

There are a few representation changes that were made at the suggestion of Dakkon. Lears will no longer be among the first planets open to the membership. It is instead being replaced with Ravouin, the BHG base of operations in the Lyarna sector. Itll henceforth be classified as an Imperial Regency and, along with other planets, it is open to current members. It seemed to be the only subgroup without a planet represented in the Senate (save the Fringe), so Id hope to get BHG representatives. Speaking of which, that seems to be a good idea. Planets harboring a subgroup should have representation from that subgroup. The SG could potentially select the delegation, or even reserve it for special members. Well, its just an idea (one I just came up with, although it has a great deal of possibilities). Anyway, theres a competition above this. Be sure to read it.

CGM Report #5:  05.10.03
As Emailed From:  Chief Gamemaster of the Fringe (Zem)

Sirs:

This week brings progress on a few fronts, I have re-tooled the Fringe in a way that will accommodate all three platforms, and should meet all of GA Ronin's requirements. Once this has been approved by the FC and XO, it shall be implemented. On the RPG front, aside from a few new purchases for my library, I have found a possible D-RPG to take some of the load of running adventures off the Command Staff, letting us focus on other aspects, such as recruitment and quality issues.

No problems in the MUD, no major new breakthroughs in the coding, but progress continues.

Nothing new to report on Galaxies, except we are one week closer to release.

Lord Ambassador's Report #9:  05.10.03
As Emailed From:  Lord Ambassador (VA Darknyte)

EH Advanced Guard

Alright, calm down folks! Let's get this show on the road, shall we? I have a bit of actual news this week, so let's dive right in and get this baby in the can.

First off, the RS alliance is dead. It was really cool while it lasted, but seemed doomed almost from the start. The nail in the coffin was Rahj breaking a promise to Ronin and myself and allying his club with the rDB. As Ronin has stated many times, any club that officially allies with the rDB will not be a friend to the EH.

Next up is a small club called TRIC. As I reported last week, TRIC's leader had wished to apologize for his words to certain EH members...well, it seems he changed his mind. This week his XO decided to mail Ronin and myself to nullify our alliance, which in truth didn't exist because we never allied with them. In a long, boring, and quite insulting email Jir (Talek Pter Dei) ranted on about the EH's problems, cursed a bit, and made a general horse's rear of himself. Afterwards, he tried to change his stance and say he wanted neutrality, but nobody was buying. A day later, TRIC's esteemed leader Ankaran (Ric Gravin) got on the TC channel of IRC and began a similar rant, mainly stating F this, F that, F the EH...ya know, standard stuff idiots like to say nothing major. Afterwards, I was approached by TRIC wanting a "sit down" to negotiate. I have flatly refused to negotiate with them. They have shown themselves to be a poorly run and immature club. Most of their 11 or so members are on their CS, and also part of the EH. So, if you want to show your support to the EH, leave TRIC. If the EHers in the club pull out, we can kill off TRIC once and for all and end their madness.

Third, Ronin has again wished to reinforce his stance on Astatine. In an email earlier today Ronin expressed his distaste for the way some of us treat Astatine, but publicly and privately. Let me just say that I've served under 3 XOs in my career, and Ast is by far the best one we've had. He might not always be the most cordial guy, but he does amazing work for the EH, both public and behind the scenes. Next time you feel the need to slam Astatine, ask yourself one question: Do you have the dedication Ast does? Would you give up most of your free time to work to better this club? Astatine is a dedicated and loyal member of this club, and the way some people treat him deeply disturbs me. Even if you don't like him personally, respect his position. He didn't get up to XO by being a lazy slacker, he's the XO because he's the best and brightest the EH has to offer. Be thankful for him, respect him, love him, and above all else ph33r the Ast0!

Only other newsworthy item this week is that I have been promoted. And no, this time I did not have to do anything immoral to get promoted...So, congrats go out to me for VA..and also big congrats to all the other promos this week, FA Leeson, HA Ari, AD Zoltar, and AD Joe. If I missed anyone I'm sorry, been a busy week at work for me.

That's all for this week folks, tune in next week for another spellbinding edition of my report.

TIE Corps Address:  05.01.03
As Emailed From:  Flight Officer (HA Priyum)

Flight Office

Greetings TIE Corps Officer & Pilots,

With the recent events surrounding the Dark Brotherhood behind us by several weeks, I had hoped the entire matter was now a part of the EH's darker history, and as a group we would move on to bigger and better things. Unfortunately it seems that we're not out of the proverbial woods quite yet.

It's emerged over the past few weeks that elements, both within the TIE Corps and rDB, have conspired to create (and I use that term in it's vaguest definition) their own "TIE Corps". They've stolen our identity, our ideals. They've stolen our missions and battles, which led to the Executive Officer's recent lock down of the mission compendium. And now their efforts turn towards stealing you, our valued membership.

We are not the Dark Brotherhood. We share none of it's tumultuous history, nor it's past problems and issues. What these people hope to gain by such actions I cannot fathom, nor the reasons behind such a move. This situation is not the result of a large group of dissenters, but rather a tiny bunch of parasites. However, I'm certain that if allowed to proceed unchecked, it will cause nothing but pain and difficulties for all parties, the least of all the TIE Corps itself.

To our membership: If approached by anyone with the offer to join this pseudo-inferiority, then the least I ask of you is to simply ignore it. Ignore them. At most, send the email/log to myself ( spellfire@btinternet.com ) and the Security Officer, VA Zoltar ( so@emperorshammer.org ). Then tell the turn-coats where they can stick their offer.

To those conspiring to break apart the strongest element of the Emperor's Hammer: Intel is pretty much aware of your activities and identities. You have this opportunity to step up and admit to your wrong doings. If however, you decide to remain "anonymous", to continue to exploit the trust put in you by your superiors and the pilots under your command, then expect neither acceptance nor clemency.

I also want to inform you all that today the Fleet Commander sent out the order that rDB members are no longer welcome in any EH Comms (message boards, IRC channels etc). The past weeks saw several attacks on both him and the CS but today saw an insult of a highly personal nature directed at GA Ronin. He's had enough, and I don't blame him. This kind of churlish and immature behaviour from some individuals will not be tolerated.

Internet Office News

An increasing amount of people have been registering for MinosNIC hosting accounts this week. I'd just like to point out that if a domain is in use by the rDB, you may notify me and I will tell them to remove their domain. EH sites take priority over rDB sites.

If anyone is using an isdchallenge.org email address and requires a new alternate, please contact me with your desired username and password for an @ehnet.org address. This is not recommended for Outlook Express users.

An update for SquadFirst was released this week to version 1.3. Users who already have SquadFirst installed should download the 1.3 patch, but those who want a fresh install can download the 1.3.1 version which improves the install script over 1.3, and comes with an uninstall script. SquadFirst 1.3.* includes a modification of the competitions display on the sidebar as well as support for the Infiltrator Wing. AD Leeson is currently investigating the expandability of SquadFirst for the HF and DB. More to come as it is available.

I'd like to remind everyone about two useful Internet Office services that not many people take advantage of: the EH Counters Service ( http://counters.minos.net ) and the EH Code Archive ( http://www.ehnet.org/ca/ ). The Counters Service provides webmaster with free counters for their websites (SquadFirst users: In order to put it at the bottom of your page, you need to insert the code into the footer.php file of your theme. Don't touch it unless you know what you're doing, or have someone that does). The Code Archive is an exchange where you can find helpful code snippets and post your own for other EHers. The Code Archive features my famous PHP XML parsing script which can easily be modified for your needs.

Some new EH websites to point out: the Directorate's temporary site is it http://www.directorate.net; the Security Office's site is at http://www.ehpd.org; and the BHG's main website has had a brand new overhaul which you can see at http://www.thebhg.org.

Needless to say, the Internet Office concurs with Grand Admiral Ronin's decree on the banning of rDB members due to the provocations that led to such. While rDB Minos accounts are not being deleted (without proper notice at least anyway), NO rDB member may sign up for a new account; it will be denied. If you are found registering under an EH identity for the rDB, not only will you be referred to the Security Officer, but you will cause me to begin deleting existing rDB accounts.

Emperor's Hammer: Site of the Week

This week's SOTW is the brand new design for the BHG site, by Jernai ( jernai@iinet.net.au ) at http://www.thebhg.org. The Internet Office expresses this as a token of its appreciation for Jernai's service to the BHG upon his retirement, and thus presents him with the award of this 5 star site.

Training Office

<SALUTE>

The shortest report from me to date

Following the removal from the Fleet of LCM Halcyon, the position of X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter Tactics (XTT) Professor is open for applications. See below for details.

The new Active Server Page (ASP) Professor will be announced shortly.

Im currently attempting to create a full Graduate report for IWATS; early estimations place it in the region of 15,000 with the non-Office graded (CORE, mIRC, IIC) Courses at approximately 2,700. A more accurate and detailed breakdown will be available in the coming month.

I will be on an approximate 10-day Leave beginning around the 9th of this month as I will be attending a tour of Iraq with various officials. Specific details will be given in my report before I leave later in the week.

The Training Office is now accepting Course proposals. With stability now re-established within IWATS, and a full compliment of IWATS Staff on the near horizon, I have decided to re-open the Office to proposals of new Courses to be included in the IWATS repertoire. There are few restrictions upon proposals; I am open to many diverse and innovative ideas, and would like to encourage the proposal of specifically non-programming Courses at this time

X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter Tactics (XTT) Professor Open for Applications

The requirements are:

An active member of the Emperors Hammer.
Holding at least the rank of Lieutenant (or equivalent).
Extensive knowledge of the game X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter.
Be willing to grade exam submissions within 24 hours.
Keeping accurate Graduate Counts (total and per month).
 Maintaining/updating the Course Notes ( http://www.emperorshammer.ca/xvttactics/ )

Applications should be sent to me ( to@emperorshammer.org ) with the subject XTT Prof Application. Due to the nature of the position, there is no closing date for applications; they will remain open until such time as a relevantly competent individual is found.

Operations Office Report:  05.01.03
As Emailed From:  Operations Officer (AD Khaine)

Operations Office

A quiet week in the cubicle that passes for the Operations Office, although I do have a reminder that needs to be mentioned.

PROVIDE EXAMPLES WITH A MERIT MEDAL RECOMMENDATION!

Vague, insubstantial and otherwise worthless statements like 'improved' or 'excellent' activity/leadership tell me precisely nothing. If someone showed 'excellent activity' tell me what they did and why it is exceptional, or if someone has been exercising their 'leadership ability' tell me how. (Refer to the Operations Office Report for the week of the 14th of April for what I expect for leadership.)

As some of you will have found out during the week, I will not spend my time trying to figure out what your reasoning was should you give vague or insubstantial recommendations. Back up your statements with examples or expect to receive notification that your recommendation has been denied.

While we're on the subject, replying to E-mail or communicating on message boards or IRC is not justification for a merit award. They make good little tidbits to add to a recommendation which has another more substantial reason, but on their own aren't satisfying.

In other news, OPSA Tempest has released version 1.3 of TTT, with updates to the flightsuit and duty uniforms as well as few minor bugfixes. Many thanks to Tempest for maintaining this useful program.

The Operations Manual survey continues. Either you are all happy with the Operations Manual how it is, or you don't read these reports. I have received two replies, thank-you to those two, you know who you are. For anyone that doesn't know what the survey is, here are the details. 'Does the Operations Manual answer your questions or is it incomprehensible? Does it cover what you want to know or are there gaps in its coverage? What do you think? E-mail me and let me know, use the heading "Operations Manual Survey" and I'll see what can be done to improve the Operations Manual.'

"First Look: Force Heretic II & III

January 30, 2003

The final chapters of The New Jedi Order will be arriving this year, and the next books to be previewed are the remainder of Sean Williams and Shane Dix's Force Heretic trilogy, Refugee and Reunion. The first book, Remnant has been previously previewed here.

In Refugee, Luke Skywalker and his most trusted of Jedi venture into the heart of the Unknown Regions, seeking to unravel the mystery of Zonama Sekot, the rogue planet that may hold the key to victory against the Yuuzhan Vong. Meanwhile, on the edge of known space, on a world once loyal to the New Republic, the Yuuzhan Vong are stirring up long-forgotten vendettas. As Han and Leia continue their vital diplomatic missions, betrayal and deception await them.

Refugee is scheduled for a May 5, 2003 paperback release from Del Rey Books.

In the depths of uncharted space, Luke, Jacen and Mara are set to recruit the most remarkable of allies. But this powerful force refuses to join the bloody and miserable war engulfing the galaxy. As Luke attempts to negotiate a reluctant partnership, the Yuuzhan Vong strike to shatter this tenuous alliance. In the path of the attack are Han and Leia, who once again face overwhelmingly terrible odds.

Reunion is scheduled as a July 2003 paperback release. Both books feature cover art by Jon Foster.
Next on The New Jedi Order horizon will be Greg Keyes' The Final Prophecy with cover illustration by Terese Nielsen. Keep checking starwars.com for updates."

"Early Look: The New Jedi Order Finale

April 29, 2003

The New Jedi Order series of bestselling novels nears its end. Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Leia Organa Solo, their children, and their comrades in the Galactic Alliance rally for their last stand against the enemy that threatens not only the galaxy, but the Force itself.

The stage is set for endgame: Luke, Mara and Jacen desperately try to recruit an unwilling ally for the Jedi's final campaign against the Yuuzhan Vong. Han and Leia learn that hundreds of high-ranking Alliance prisoners face slaughter in a sacrifice to the enemy's bloodthirsty gods. And a lone space station is all that stands between the Alliance headquarters on Mon Calamari and endless waves of enemy forces waging their most decisive assault.

The Jedi's alliances throughout the galaxy are being tested by rogue factions determined to deploy a lethal weapon that will exterminate the Yuuzhan Vong ... and perhaps countless other species. And among the Yuuzhan Vong themselves, the threat of revolt escalates as the oppressed underclass and powerful officials alike fear their Supreme Overlord's mad actions.

There's no turning back for either the Galactic Alliance or the Yuuzhan Vong. Too much has been sacrificed and too much is at stake. Now, nothing can stand in the way of seizing victory ... or facing annihilation.
The Unifying Force, by James Luceno, is the final book of The New Jedi Order series. The book will be released in hardcover this November by Del Rey Books. As a bonus, the book will include a CD-ROM of extra material: the entire text of the first book of The New Jedi Order, Vector Prime by R.A. Salvatore, an exclusive look inside the Yuuzhan Vong reference guide used by the authors of the series, Yuuzhan Vong-related excerpts from The New Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, and a behind-the-scenes interview featuring the creative forces behind the series: Shelly Shapiro, Editorial Director of Del Rey Books, Sue Rostoni, Managing Editor at LucasBooks, Lucy Wilson, Director of Publishing at LucasBooks and author James Luceno.
The cover art for Unifying Force is currently in development, but here's an early look at artist Cliff Nielsen's work."

"KOTOR coming to PC

May 02, 2003

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, the epic role-playing game of the ancient Jedi and Sith is coming to PCs this fall.

Developed by BioWare Corp. and published and distributed by LucasArts, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic takes place four thousand years before the events of the current Star Wars saga, in an ancient era dominated by an epic struggle between the Jedi and the evil Sith. The game features customizable male or female heroes and evolving playable characters, as well as dynamic lightsaber combat. Players can choose to follow the path of good or evil as they progress through the game, which spans many locations -- some new and some familiar -- in the Star Wars galaxy.

The game is first scheduled to debut on the Xbox video game system this July. For more information on this and other LucasArts titles, visit their official website."

Knights of the Old Republic looks really cool. That will definately be on my "list". <g>

My CA, RA Mage has been on leave this week. He should be returning to duty this week. Cause? IRL problems.. and we all know how that works.

I'm sending an email interview to the authors of the latest NJO Book, (Force Heretic II: Refugee) Sean Williams and Shane Dix. The way the two recent books have been laid out, using the Part-format rather than the usual chapter format not to mention a few characteristics of their writing styles, should make for a good Interview.

Myself or Darknyte haven't heard from TheForce.net for our link exchange yet. Hopefully they will be coming through soon.

Once RA Mage gets back from leave, I can find out if PennyArcade is going to OK a link exchange with them ( if approved by the GA and XO of course). That should bring us alot of members as well.

That is about it from me unfortunately. I'll keep the Fleet posted if I get anything back asap! :)

Thanks!

<SALUTE>

This week has seen the implementation of a new bot for the EH, in particular BHG Kabal channels. This bot is called "Chewie". The BHG !id script has been sent to me, and I have implemented it in all COMM bots (dasb0t, silentone, and Chewie). The script supports the following commands issued in a public channel:

!bhgid <name or id number>
!bhgcreds <name or id number>
!bhgemail <name or id number>
!bhgurl <abbrevation>

Idline scripts supporting other subgroups are in development and I expect to implement them shortly.

Due to the unfortunate actions of a single RDB member, it has been decided that RDB members are no longer welcome in EH Channels or Forums. I have instructed channel operators to privately ask RDB members to leave before resorting to banning people. While I think it is unfortunate that people will have to suffer because of one idiots actions, it is probably best that the two clubs cease interaction.

I expect to be finished dumping the archive of EH meeting logs into a database, and prepping a site to go online and show case them some time this weekend.

-Hammers Fist Tactical Command - this is the name of our experimental SW Galactic Battlegrounds unit. Check our MB for details to apply for Supreme Tactical Commander.

-Paymaster and Quartermaster positions to be officially merged to Quartermaster only and will officially be set on loose by the release of Field Manual 8. MAJ Astix will continue as Quartermaster. Faith da Bot is unemployed again. This new job will use the Carriba bank manual for most of it's functions!

-The work on the Fiction/GFX unit, so far knows as 'Field Reporters' (yes, I'm terrible in naming things.. My dogs are named Wrath, Ruffus na Starbuck). This unit will work as PRG and TaCom, and I expect to have it in field by the start of the next month.

-Due the mentioned time consuming stuff in RL, I was unable to send the XO all material to the Dark Legionnaire, so expect a week of delay here. No worries, it WILL be released!

-As ordered by the GA, all rDB members are to be banned on sight. Security officers, you may begin the cleaning.

-The Directorate finally has a web page up! It's not particularly fancy, and it's not in "code" (just bare-bones HTML), but it's functional and will be a useful placeholder until we get a real page up. It even has a join form. :P You can find it at http://www.directorate.net/.

-We've gotten an influx of new members this week, probably due to the fact that we actually have a join form now. :P Hopefully, the expansion will continue.

-I've been reminded that the Directorate Guard team was in the process of creating single-player XWA missions for our use. Coursca, any word on how that's progressing?

-No new appointments will be made to the Ministry Council this week, as the DGMF and I have not yet decided on the applications we've received. The positions open are Minister of Indoctrination, Minister of Operations, and High Commissioner of the Territories (head of the Colonial Branch).

-A new version of the Governor's Dispatches is still in the works, and the rewrite is proceeding slower than I thought. When finished, it will reflect all of the updates in the Directorate Guard's structure, and will be passed to the EH FC and EH XO for approval.

Lord Ambassador's Report
VA Darknyte

Welcome to another edition of my crazy show! Short report this week, not a whole lot's been going down in the world of politics and intergalactic intrigue.

This week all diplomatic relations were pulled from the rDB. As some of you may know, a few of their members were creating disturbances on IRC and one in particular tried to steal all the battles from the TC Mission Center. In light of those events, Ronin has ordered all diplomatic entreaties with them come to a halt. Any and all rDB members are to be banned on sight in all EH channels. It's a bit of a pity that it had to come to this, but sometimes a few people can ruin it for an entire group as their few members did for them.

Next up on the table is a diplomatic proposal from a club called TRIC. Earlier this week their leader Grand Moff Ankaran demoted or removed a few of their members who were in the EH and speaking out against the EH. Their leader has reconsidered his actions and I have assurances that a formal apology will be forthcoming, I'll post it online and put up a news article when I receive it.

I'm drafting a letter to send to all our allies as per orders from the FC. I'll be politely letting them know that any club that supports or encourages the rDB in their continued pursuits of trying to take things from the EH will no longer be considered friends of the EH and will have their alliance status revoked. Again, not something I will enjoy doing, but again, sometimes the actions of the few spoil it all for the rest of the bunch.

That's about it for this week, as I said not a whole lot going down. Perhaps next week I'll have a bit more information to report or something new and exciting to announce. Until then, this is Sliggy McSlug signing off.

-Sithspawn

Unity

As the Seven Separatists raised their glasses to seal the pact of treachery, a crash rang through the Audience Chamber of the Dark Hall. Rushing to the Chamber, the Seven stood in awe at the sight they beheld. Blood streamed over the domed ceiling, bathing the room in crimson light. The ornate throne of the Grand Master had cracked, the seat split in two, it's golden luster tarnished and brittle. Outside the Grand Master's chambers, the statue of the Lord of the Sith wept crimson tears...

Meanwhile...

Battlemaster Sithspawn waited impatiently outside of the Conference Room on the SSSD Sovereign. Seething with anger, Sithspawn began to meditate over the current course of events. Slowly allowing the Dark Side to absorb his rage, Sithspawn became focused and alert, the anger coursing through his veins heightened his sense of awareness. It would be soon now, there was little time left...

The doors slid open and High Admiral Rapier strode out, clad in the robes of Grand Master. Looking towards Sithspawn, Grand Master Rapier nodded and spoke the sentence that lingered upon the lips of all Imperial troops of the Emperor's Hammer....."It is time, High Priest"

Standing, Sithspawn grasped his lightsaber and nodded. The War of Unity had begun. Deputy Grand Master Darkov, Master at Arms Pryium, Headmistress Aeishline, and Chancellor Shadonyx took their places at Grand Master Rapier's side, ready to purge the Dark Hall of it's rebellion.

As Shuttle Alpha-V ferried the new Dark Council to the surface of Eos, Wings I-V deployed from the Sovereign to purge Imperial space of any rebellious Sith pilots unwise enough to attempt to harass the shuttle. Meeting minimal resistance, the various Squadrons quickly gained control of the skies and took up defensive positions around Eos.

Grand Master Rapier stood upon the deployment ramp of the shuttle, stepping onto the ground as soon as the shuttle touched down. The Dark Council quickly sought out pockets of resistance, and many a foolish dissident fell to Grand Master Rapier's lightsaber. None of the Seven leaders of the Rebellion had chosen to make themselves seen, but before the day was through, each Dark Council member hoped to bury his or her blade in the torso of a traitor. The crusaders made their way to the Foyer, mowing down the meager resistance left within the Dark Hall.

Arriving within the Audience Chamber, the Dark Council was awestruck by the damage. It was as if the Dark Side itself had manifested its anger within the Audience Chamber, destroying all that lay within it's path. On the seat of the Grand Master lay a set of marionette strings. Sith High Warrior Von Reinthaler and Obelisk High Commander Khaen rose from their respective thrones on the dais and bowed in homage to Grand Master Rapier.

"The traitorous scum have fled," proclaimed Khaen "taking many with them. Our forces have several dissidents pinned down in the Hangar Bay. They were unable to hijack any further ships once Reinthaler locked down the Bay."

Krath Archpriest Sithspawn clipped his lightsaber to his belt and pulled out a pen and scroll, recording the events of the day and the state in which the Audience Chamber lay. The Audience Chamber, once glorious and respute in splendor, now lay torn and scarred, like the Brotherhood itself. Most baffling, was that every surface within the Chamber had faded to the color of dried blood...

The Dark Council of the Dark Brotherhood took it's rightful place upon the dais. The memory of the rebellion slowly faded, it's leadership left to their own devices, and history once again beheld the magnificence of the glory of the Emperor's Hammer.

Krath ArchPriest Sithspawn removed another scroll from his robes and began to dictate his first order as Krath High Priest. Finishing, he handed it to a subordinate and ordered it delivered unto the Krath of the Dark Brotherhood.

"Dark Greetings, Artisans of the Dark Brotherhood. I am Krath ArchPriest Sithspawn, successor to the throne of the Krath High Priest. Order has been restored within the Dark Hall, and on this fateful day, the call has been given to those among the order of the Krath to transcribe the events as they have affected your clan, house, and character. Many of the day's battles remain unrecorded, and we have yet to portray our full glory before the Brotherhood."

In your service,

Hammer's Fist (EH Stormtroopers)

-The removal of personnel related to the EH/DB situation went without any problems.

-We created a new experimental officer position, called Chief Records Office, and it was assigned to MG Lander. His job is to gather all info about the history of the Hammers Fist, to build an accurate timeline and promote weekly polls and surveys. The main objective of this effort is to know ourselves better and from that build better activities for our troopers. He is a Staff Officer, and his office is located here: http://www.delakkrennel.com/records/. Thanks to my assistant, HC Darkheart, who came up with this idea.

-The Platoon League, our bimonthly tourney, just changed hands. Few months ago, we decided that the Commander, Operations should give it away to the Company Commanders, so the CO could use his time to new and inventive operations. Some problems happened during this time, and now we give the Battalion Commander the head of the PL, and the CCs WILL assist.

-HC Darkheart also provided us the starting point to the SWGB unit, the Navy Officers, and it will be opened for applications next week. It's a part-time job to improve SWGB related activities.

-We're studying few changes in the Training office, and they'll be announced next week.

I guess that's all.

Internet Office News

Most of this week I was on leave or semi-leave and I'd like to thank AD Leeson for covering for me. Now that I'm back, we're bringing the EH.org redesign back up to speed after everyone had a week break from it. The three base pages are done: the splash page, the index/main page, and the "other/miscellaneous" page. For the last one, we will just take current data from the eh.org site, and copy and paste the source into our design. This sounds easy, but there are a LOT of pages. I will probably be assigning some pages to the IOAs to expedite the process. But this is the only thing that remains. FrontPage compatibility, as per Ronin's orders, has been implemented successfully.

The new Dark Brotherhood site, which is still being reconstructed, is up at http://www.darkbrotherhood.org. I'd like to say that I'm very impressed with the speed Astatine has been able to get a functioning system working, adapted from the TC system. I think everyone should be similarly appreciative.

The EH Battle Center has been upgraded to mandate logging in to download battles. This follows after a week of the battle mirrors being down.

I would like to reiterate what I mentioned in my report last week. All message board updates are asked to go to FA AbsoluteK ( comm@emperorshammer.org ) from now on. The COMM's duties include managing the MB, so AbK will be doing most of that. If you have some pressing need though and you can't get a hold of him, let me know and I'll help you out.

Dark Jedi Brotherhood Update:  04.24.03
As Emailed From:  Grand Master of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood (HA Rapier)

The Dark Brotherhood of Jedi

Greetings all,

...Ok, lots of interesting things going on in the DB these days.

First off I want to apologize to all of you. The task of getting the database up and going has been much more time consuming than we initially thought.

For right now what I would like everyone to do is find out who in their houses and clans is still loyal to the EH, make sure that they have filled out the rejoin form at http://www.darkbrotherhood.org/db/rejoin.asp and then send Me, the DGM and the MAA a copy of the current roster for that house... this will allow us to better get you entered into the correct slot in the database in a timely manner.

Second, some of you have emailed me to apply for vacant leadership positions and this is great, keep them coming. But no positions are going to change till we get everyone back where they belong so be patient.

Now some appointments

HRLD: Kweeky... some of you know him, some don't, but frankly he's the best graphic guy I know I'm sure you'll all enjoy his work.

CoG: OBM Jacen Aylen... he has some interesting ideas on what to do with the GMRG

Welcome both of you...

Also I have a new advisor position

Magister or Mag: this position directly advises the DC on matters of roleplay and will also coordinate with the Fringe on getting the DB involved with Star Wars Galaxies.

The first Magister is OBM Gryffon, former CGM of the Fringe and an accomplished roleplayer in his own right. congrats to him.

Other things moving forward is that we have some new medal graphics that absolutely look great and CHAN Shadonyx should have those up on display as soon he can.

The new website at WWW.darkbrotherhood.org looks wonderful and is coming along nicely thanks to the tireless work of our SCL Astatine.

And lastly, there may be some structural changes to the DB as a whole due to the reduced membership but I don't want anyone to worry about them cause we are taking into account the membership as a whole before we decide on anything and the XO and the GA are consulted before anything is set in stone.

See you all out there and you'll here more from me soon
