Glossary
Available Force Power refers to the Force Powers that a person can
select at the time of promotion. Not all Force Powers are available at a
given rank. Some are unavailable because they are outside one's Order or
outside one's focus, and some are unavailable because a person has not
learned the Force Power preceeding it.
Force Power
a specific manipulation of the Force learned through
study, meditation, and knowledge of the Dark Side of the Force.
Non-focus Order-specific Force Power
Each member selects one
grouping of Order-specific Force Powers out of three groupings as his
focus. The two other groups become his non-focus Order-specific Force
Powers.
Order-specific Force Powers
Each Order has its own sphere of
knowledge of the Dark Side of the Force. These Force Powers fall into that
Order's sphere and are exclusive to that Order.
Focus (foci):
A class of Force Powers within an Order. All Force
Powers within a focus are related to each other. In order to access higher
Force Powers within a Focus, a member must know the preceding Force Powers.
Force Power point
A unit denoting one's strength in a Force
Power from 0 (no knowledge whatsoever) to 10 (absolute mastery) with 1 as
the minimum for knowing the Force Power. The greater the number of Force
Power points a member allots to a power, the greater his knowledge of that
Force Power is.
Default Focus
For those who chose not create a Force Power
character sheet, do not wish to take the time learning the system, or want
to see how the system works before diving into it, the database will
create a generic.
General Force Power
A Force Power that all Dark Jedi can learn.
Rank caps
Maximums on the number of Force Power points Dark Jedi
can spend on a particular Force Power. These limits increase with rank (shown
in Table 1).
Rank penalty
Dark Jedi cannot choose non-focus Order-specific
Force Powers until they have reached Archpriest/Battlemaster. Then, they
can choose such Force Powers two ranks below their current rank.
Force Power Character Sheet
A list of all Force Powers (with
points) a Dark Jedi has selected.
