The Fleet Commander, in recognition of the increasing need for industrial goods far from the heart of the Empire, has recently created the fifth approved Sub-Group of the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet. The EH Corporate Division will be managed much like a series of "Contractors" which are hoped will be online "think tanks" for the EH.

The Division will be comprised of several competitive Corporations, each managed by its own Corporate Executive Officer (CEO). The CEOs will be ENTIRELY responsible for creating, managing and expanding their Corporations. The CEOs will have discretion in creating of ranking and promotion systems and requirements, which will be posted in subsequent Newsletters. As in any competitive military-based economy, the Corporations will be occasionally requested to fulfill "special projects" by the Fleet Commander, the Tactical Officer or the Science Officer. However, the Corporations will be primarily devoted to their own specific research and development.

Any new Corporation submissions must be forwarded to the Science Officer for review prior to review by the Fleet Commander for posting in a Newsletter.

The following Corporations have been approved by the Fleet Commander to bid on exclusive Emperor's Hammer contracts:

A MEMO FROM THE TACTICAL OFFICER

One of the latest developments in the Hammer was the formation of the Corporate sub-groups. As the groups formed, a new method of testing and approving ships proved nessesary, as too many "half baked" ideas for ships were being submitted into the fleet, and, the Grand Admiral wanted to limit the number of new craft entering service in the Hammer, due to budget reasons :). In order to cope with the situation at hand, I had to come up with an efficient method of testing, reviewing, and submitting ships into the Hammer, at a reduced speed. My solution was to follow in the ways of the USAF, and their "contracting" system. To start the contest, I send mail to all of the CEO's stating what class of ship we are looking for. If a Corporation wishes to enter in the competition, they are required to send me a written copy of their design's statistics. When I have received all of the applications, the Science Officer and I review them (in text form) to see if they are even close to what we need. After we tell each CEO what we would like to see changed, they are required to create a working *.OVL file, so that the SCO and I may play-test the design in one of our game platforms (I.E. TIE Fighter of X-Wing). At this point, we decide who's design wins, and have the winning CEO do one final revision before we pass the design along to the test squadron. This is where your men & women become involved. I will give the design to the Squadron Commander of the Test Squadron, and tell him the date when the reviews must be completed (approx. a week after I give it to the him). The squadron commander will (along with the fighter) recive a series of missions designed to test the craft, created by my assistant, BG Ghent (Ghent2). Upon completion of testing, the squadron commander will pass along the feelings of his pilots, and thier ideas on how to improve the craft to me, so that we may finalise the design.

I will need to know what squadron will be assigned the duty of "Test Squadron" by this Friday...if at all possible. Once again, congradulations!

Deatheston Corporation

CEO: BG Gunner (Fish 56)

Purpose: to design new star fighters for use in the Emperor's Hammer strike fleet. To test their own fighters also. All fighters are considered classified corporate material until released to the public. The only people allowed to view these are the GA, executive officer, and Tactical Officer [and Science Officer].

Company motto: A strong weapon goes a long way.

Goals: To provide new tecnology to the Imperium, and to eventually surpass Sienar Fleet Systems in Imperial buisness.

Ships: 6 star galleons, 10 modualar conveyors, and 30 Tie Advanced to escort the above.

I hope with Imperial backing Deatheston ( pronounced Death-East-ton) will become big in the corporate world.

 

Fleet Commander's Note:

Deatheston Corporation still claims the above Corporate Fleet as their own despite the fact that an Imperial Court of Inquiry refuted that claim 3 years ago on Coruscant. Apparently the subcontractor that had built the Fleet for Deatheston had implanted various bugs and damaging code into ALL of the navaigation, targeting and sensing computer hardware. Deatheston refused to pay for the Fleet but seized control of the ships anyway. From what I have heard from my contacts in the Imperial Navy - Outer Core Sector 46, the Fleet had to be forcibly retrieved by agents of the Imperial Court as they sent a Sector Fleet (3 ISDs...!) to enforce the ruling. The contested ships are thought to still be in the Corporate Sector...somewhere...mothballed as "evidence" by the growing chaos called the Imperial bureaucracy, pending appeal of the case by Deatheston. Unfortunately, after the Battle of Endor, the whereabouts of Deatheston's Corporate Fleet can not be verified...

I think that the sub-group is an excellent idea. I would like to use the

name of Dagger Engineering Systems (not that I didn't like the suggested name

This, I think, is a crowning achievement. I can't remember the specs exactly

but its got something like 9 lasers. I'm still working on the Missiles

though.

laptop without Tie or Tiese. :(

Fleet Commander's Note:

The above TIE Fighter designs are not yet considered approved for the Emperor's Hammer as they have not yet been reviewed by the new Science Officer (they are presented as an example of this Corporation's obvious talents and enthusiasm). In addition, it should be noted that new fighters are VERY expensive to design, build and maintain. However, new designs and technologies will be catalogued, reviewed and test flown by various test squadrons within the EH for potential use as part of the competitive Contract process being implemented by the Tactical and Science Officers.

 

Crona Imperial Technologies

The purpose of the Crona Imperial Technologies is for everybody to work together

and make a better result. But personal projects are welcomed.

For example, Starfighter RG (RG = Research group) has made a fighter,

they can ask Banner RG for a picture of it and Mission for a training mission.

IRC meetings should be held as much as possible.

 

Research groups

There is no limit for the number researchers in a research group.

But there are always only one RL and one VRL.

 

Starfighters research group

The purpose of this research group is to create and modify all kinds of fighters for

use with the EH. And make the right documentation. Like statistics, how long it takes to build, cost,adding it in the tech room and more. If the Starfighter research group wants a picture for their fighter or a training mission they can ask the Banner research group and Mission research group for that.

 

Banner/Picture research group

The purpose of this research group is to create pictures for homepages, NL, reviews, missions. And for example of Starfighter research group asks for a picture for a fighter

this research group should make it for them.

 

Mission research group

This research group creates missions usually for another research group.

There job is also to make good breifings.

 

Capital class ship research group

The purpose of this research group is to provide new positions for new members by making ideas for new capital ships for the lowest cost.

 

Promotions

To be promoted you must show great interest in the well being of your RG,

attend IRC meetings, help and encourage your partners, create own things, be an active member, do what you are told/follow orders, cooperate and be a resourceful part of your research team.

Positions

 

Research apprentice (RAp)

A new member in the Crona Imperial Technologies. Everyone will begin at rank of Research apprentice. Even if you are of higher rank in a other research group you will always begin as Research apprentice. Everybody that submits one or two things to the CEO that they have created will formally be promoted to Researcher.

 

Researcher (R)

This means that you have proven yourself as a researcher and that you have a future

in this research group. But you still have much to learn. Everybody that submitts one or two things to the CEO that they have created will formally be promoted to Researcher.

 

Ace Researcher (AR)

This means that you are better than the overall researcher. To get promoted you must be a real resource to the research group. Do what the RL orders and show great results.

You can be promoted to AR by the RL, VCEO and CEO.

Top Ace researcher (TAR)

This means that you are in the elite of researchers and that you really know your work.

You get promoted to TAR when you have helped with creating things and being a real

resource to your research group. Only the CEO and VCOE can promote you to TAR.

 

Grand Researcher (GR)

This means that you are better than the elite. You are one of the best researchers ever!

This could mean that you have saved hundreds of pilots and improved the EH.

As Grand Researcher you get the benefit to start your own research group if you want to.

But it most be approved by the CEO. You also get the honor of sitting in the Board of the Grand Researchers. You can only be promoted to GR after several high quality creations and only the CEO can promote you to GR.

 

Command positions

The CEO decides who will have command positions. And these usually are GR:s

 

Vice research leader (VRL)

As a VRL your duty is to train other researchers. Helping them and the VL

with what they want help with. If the RL canīt make it to a meeting or is going on

vacation it is the VRLs duty to fill in for the RL and take over his duties.

When this happens he can assign any researcher to be his VRL so he getīs help

in his duties. The RL can decide exactly what the VRLīs duties should be.

 

Research Leader (RL)

As a RL your duty is to keep contact with the researchers in your group.

And informing the CEO and VCEO with new progress. It is also his duty to decide what

the group will work with. Assign the researchers to what they are going to do.

Being RL isnīt very easy so asking the VRL for help is encouraged. After all that is what he is for. It is also the RLīs duty to promote the researchers by ability and engagement in the group.

 

Vice CEO (VCEO)

The VCEO duties are much like the VRLīs. But with more responsibility.

As a VCEO your duty is to train the RL. Helping them and the CEO

with what they want help with. The VCEOs duties also contain keeping

contact with the RL:s. The CEO can decide excactly what the VCEO should be

working with. If the CEO canīt make it to a meeting or is going on

vacation it is the VCEO duty to fill in for the CEO and take over his duties.

When this happens he can assign any researcher to be his VCEO so he getīs help

in his duties.

 

CEO (CEO)

The CEO is the commanding officer of Crona Imperial Technologies.

The CEO has the right to modify anything and everything that is created by his researchers in the name of Crona Imperial Technologies. It is his duty to decide what the research groups should be working on and promote and demote the researchers and make shore the RL:s are doing there job and keeping devolopment in a high rate. CEO is automatically promoted to GR. The CEO will be CEO as long as he wants. To be promoted to CEO the board of Grand Researchers must have have approved him and so has Grand Admiral Ronin.

The CEO asks this board somethimes to vote in some questions

and he asks the board of itīs oppinion.

[** These weapons are already in use by Shadow Works / Shekinah's Fighter Labs. The

Turbo - Laser was discovered by Md128m under code 144 and improved upon by

Shekinah. Codes 153 under the Vulcan Plasma Pulse Generator and this former range of

numbers discovered by Shekinah.]

The Super Ion is a conjectural name - the beam is blue and travels slow like the

Ion cannon but does physical damage (e.g.: you can't disable with it). The same is true

for #153: The 'Magnetic Pulse Rocket' does the damage of an adv. concussion and no

disabling effect.

Turbo Lasers do about double normal damage (about 4% shield damage on a

starship per shot).

We haven't figured out why the weapons change over when the charge goes down, nor

have we tried using fractions - the allowable number range is from 0 - 255.
