Pilots and members of the Emperor's Hammer Strike Fleet. Greetings, I am the
Dean of the Imperial Weapons and Tactics School, Admiral Garret. I would
like to take this time to tell you a little something about IWATS.
IWATS is the premiere training institute of the Emperor's Hammer. It is here
that pilots learn the basics of flight and combat. Classes are held, tests
are given and awards are handed out. IWATS is located on the planet Sif in
the Phare Sector of EH territory. High above the planet is the newly
transferred platform Daedalus. Here the training Squadrons of Zeta and Eta
are located.
A program that has been developed in the opportunity for pilots to be awarded
the Medal of Tactics (MoT). When a pilot enrolls in the course, the are
offer the option of making a mission for the IWATS Tactical Officer, RA
Thrawn (Thrawn551@aol.com). The mission does not have to be a mission the
will outdo the very best of creators. Just a mission that shows you have the
skill and creativity to make one. If he feels that you have demonstrated
excellent skill or some skill, you will receive the MoT.
I am expecting every pilot and every command staff member to come through
IWATS. We have already had many come through here, but their are many more
to come through. Commanders, send me your squadrons!!!!
I am please to be coming to you with this update. As of, March 31, IWATS has
completed it's work with the Infiltrator Wing and Hammer's Fist. Some course
majors have been written and additional web pages have been created. We have
begun some serious work with the Aggressor Wing and currently do not have a
finish date in mind. Next to come will be the Dark Brotherhood.
For those of you who don't know, this plan was created in order to increase
the general activity in all EH SubGroups.
Important Notice For The Hammer's Fist: I have created a separate
exam for the HF, seeing that the current IWATS exam only deals with space
combat and flight. This exam will be geared around ground tactics and
weapons knowledge. Troopers, please fill out the proper form on the IWATS
web page enrollment section.

This past month, IWATS held an EH wide competition. Based out of TIE, many
EH flight squadrons competed for the IWATS Certificates of Valor. The top 3
Squadrons are:

As per AD Garret's request, I basically left the main IWATS page alone, only
making small changes when they are needed. I will maintain it, and update
it when needed. The Sub pages, however were a different story... I
basically redid all of them, keeping the basic text, and in some places
adding on things. As of March 30, I have all of the basic pages done, now
all I need is some graphics to go along with them. If you have any type of
graphic and are willing to submit for the IWATS page, please send it to me
(keithw1@voicenet.com)... It will
be greatly appreciated, and you will probably get some type of medal out of
it (assuming I use it of course). The IWATS page is currently located at:
The Imperial Internet Communications (IIC) course is available to help you
learn the basics of HTML (making homepages) and to give you a firm
understanding of the HTML language so that you can expand your knowledge.
After completing the basic course, you will be able to create your own basic
homepage for whatever purpose you desire; for example: squadron homepage,
personal homepage, etc. An advanced course is also under construction to
teach you more advanced HTML techniques.
When you complete the IIC course, you will be able to add {IWATS-IIC} to
your ID line and to add the special IIC medal to your uniform (under
