This was a lot of fun. Epic feel, lots of kill opportunities for both starfighters and mid to large size cap ships. All ship orders were realistic and made sense. The one flaw was it wasnt entirely challenging due to someone mentioned in an earlier review - too many wingman. While 12 in the squad is great and attributed to the epic feel the AI was perhaps too high so you yourself were never really in danger.
This was fun. Lots of ships to destroy, plot was done well enough. I thought the using the GUN in mission 3 was a bit of a let down though. I though the T/Ds presented a nice challenge and change of pace to destroy in the final mission
Good idea but execution could have been a bit more precise. Some bits were challenging, obviously I am talkin about the capital ships firing dual adv missles at you constantly - recommendation is to clearly take those out. Fighter AI was a bit on the low side in my opinion - you're given a lot of firepower options so taking down those cruisers isnt as hard of a task as it should be.
Echoing what others have said. Incredibly easy - i dont think i was targeted by a single enemy starfighter once including the cruiser in the final mission. Speaking of, you're given no warhead armament and no bomber craft to destroy it; luckily as mentioned it doesn't target you so you can literally park (read: 0% throttle) next to it and fire away with lasers. Plot was thin as well.
Interesting story line. The last mission was particularly fun. Make sure to make good use of your wingmen, particularly in ignoring the invulnerable X-Wing. Last mission also provided some good opportunities to go after large targets. Craft were varied and not real bugs to mention. A fun battle.
Pretty balanced battle overall - plot didnt get in the way of the story and the dogfighting was fun. Would like to have seen more capital ship battles and more varied types of craft. Some of the missions were on the tad short time; i think from start to finish I completed this battle in less than 40 mins.
This was a but of fun - the last mission however does seem to be near impossible without calling in reinforcements to get the ISD Challenger's lasers onto the 3 cruisers that need to be destroyed. I'm not sure I followed the story exactly, but overall the missions were fun - hopelessly outnumbered but never to the point where it was unfair.
Battle was fun and challenging but I ehco the bugs concerning the final misison - the strike craft do not fire back at the Rebels which leads to their eventual destruction and mission failure.
You know whats not fun? Takin out an ESC and a M/CRV by yourself while your superstar destroyer hovers above you doing nothing. Stuff liek this ruined this battle, no matter how 'realistic' the plot was
I didnt really enjoy this battle. The missions werent very interesting and the spelling and grammer during the briefings and in battle left much to be desired !
