As a self-proclaimed strongly disliker of flying a standard TIE Fighter, this battle was actually pretty good. Very straight forward, with the right balance of challenge and simplicity.
Simple and straightforward. Would have scored higher but the commands for the mission critical craft at the end of M6 left me sitting around way longer than really was necessary.
What's not to like? A straightforward battle with lots of capital ships to blow up. Last mission should have had you flying a MIS not a T/D in my opinion, based on the number of ships to destroy, but other than that no real complaints.
Other than a being stuck in a TIE Bomber, not a bad mission. Good variety of things, dogfights, base defense, inspection, and it worked, so that's always a plus.
A few tricky missions, and one really annoying run in with entirely too many T-wings, but otherwise a fun battle that involved many different TC units. Was fun seeing some old names again!
A rough go on a few missions where again you have to do things in a certain order, but once figured out, a well organized and designed battle. I definitely enjoyed it!
All in all a pretty good battle. Definitely a learning curve to figure out the right order to do things in, but once that was figured out, a good battle.
Despite getting frustrated with M2, this was a pretty good battle. Fun to fly the Praetor, and the Missile Boat in M4 was just pure carnage and destruction. My favorite!
I'm admittedly not a fan of flying a basic TIE Fighter. I'll own that. But why in the world am I put into a T/F in a mission where the objectives are to completely destroy a enemy fleet and multiple installations? Why am I to rely on the AI friendlies to do that? It makes no sense and it's really annoying.
I loved the last two missions. Any time I can fly a Missile Boat loaded for bear and go hunting big dumb ships, I'm a happy camper. Don't love the fly 30km to inspect a CRS that one mission included, but I suppose the tradeoffs are worth it. At least it was on TIE where I had the time modifier.
Overall, a good battle. T/A with Missiles does get a little repetitive, but there were thankfully enough friendlies with heavy rockets to take down the capital ships. Even on easy though, two missiles weren't enough to kill an X-wing, which surprised me a little.
A fun battle with a non-standard loadout from your typical battle. Warheads on a T/I is always a good time. Overall an interesting and well composed battle.
Pretty good battle, and any time I get to fly a YT-2000 is a win. Not crazy about the excessive use of sheildless TIEs though. What are we, the regular Imperial Navy? Gimme a good ship!
