(Rear Admiral Alexandre Morgan sat at his desk, his elbows resting on the dark wood and his head resting in his hands. The desk was unusually messy, cluttered with papers with half-illegible scribbles, drawings, and to-do lists.

There was a chime at the door. Morgan sat up straight and pressed the button on his desk that slid open the door. In walked a nondescript officer wearing the uniform of Morgan's Reconnaissance Office staff. Morgan didn't recognize him, but assumed he was the new transfer Morgan had hear about.

"Good morning," Morgan said. "How can I help you?" His eyes narrowed and his head tilted. "Was there a meeting I forgot about?"

The officer chuckled and looked around the office. "Man, Alex," he said, "this place is a mess."

Shock at the officer's insolence briefly registered over Morgan's face, but it was swiftly covered with recognition and only slight disapproval. "Hello, Cam. Good to see you, too." He shook his head, his amusement growing. "How many people saluted you in the hallway walking here? Those rank markings are quite conspicuous."

The officer began to shimmer, growing an odd translucence and morphing pattern. The Reconnaissance uniform gave way to a more generic Imperial grey uniform, and the face shifted to a darker complexion with softer features. "Far too many, Morgan. Far too many."

Morgan sighed, but not without humor. "Take your camouflaging-droid-ass and get it off my ship if you're just here to prank me."

Cam shook his head. "I'm actually here to tell you to write another report. I just had to camouflage my way in here because Admiral Wietu is not quite as lenient as Marenta when it comes to an unrequested and impromptu leave."

"First off," Morgan began, raising a finger, "it's right before Raise the Flag, and Wietu's got himself a hard-earned title to defend. No wonder he doesn't want his office taking unapproved vacations." He paused, and tilted his head slightly sideways. "How did you even find the Doomsday, anyway? We're supposed to be more or less untraceable, away from the fleet." Cam grew a smirk and began to answer, but Morgan cut through the rebuttal. "Doesn't matter. You know everything."

"That's exactly what I was going to say," Cam muttered underneath Morgan's stream of words.

Morgan continued, undeterred. "But most importantly, what do you mean, 'write a report?'"

"Pretty self-explanatory, no? It's been a while."

"Do you miss them that much? You and I talk so much I would hardly think you need a report as communication."

"Sure we do," Cam nodded, "but as you said, Raise the Flag is coming up. Don't you think people should know everything happening before then?

Morgan nodded, slightly reluctantly. "Fair."

Cam gestured to all of the papers on his desk. "What's all this nonsense, anyway? Really is... cluttery."

"Academia is demanding," Morgan retorted. "You're lucky, you know everything without having to learn it."

Cam laughed loudly and clapped his hands in what Morgan felt was the most joy Cam had expressed in months. "So you admit I know everything?"

That earned a glare from Morgan. "How about this," he said, but did not relent the narrow gaze. "If you leave, I'll write the report."

Still grinning, Cam held up his hands. "You've got a deal, Alex." He executed a crisp and entirely unnecessary salute, and backed to the door. "See you on the Warrior soon?"

Morgan nodded. "I'll be back there soon." Cam hit the pad that opened the door, and without another word turned, tossed up an obscene gesture, donned his Reconnaissance staffer persona, and walked out the door. With a sigh, Morgan pushed papers off of his built-in datapad and began to type.

Star Wars: Outlaws releases today! The action-adventure story game features the player as the protagonist Kay Vess, a scoundrel seeking her own path in the galaxy. Highlights of the game include a complex criminal faction system that makes each playthrough unique, full world exploration, space combat, and so much more! Check out the most recent trailer here and pick up the game on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC through Epic Games or Ubisoft.

The upcoming Star Wars Show Skeleton Crew has been given a release date! Branded as a story about a group of lost kids finding their way home through the galaxy, this past month it received an official trailer that you can view here and a release date of December 3rd, which will take form as a two-episode premiere on Disney+.

Raise the Flag begins in only a few hours from my submitting this report! Make sure your cockpits are warmed up and your creative sides of your brains are turned on! Check out the competition details here.

For those in the Secret Order, you've got the opportunity to contribute over there also. The Dark Council will award you for several sets of activity, as explained here.

During this month, remember that each pilot has a duty to recruit when able! As you're flying or fighting with new friends not yet in the Corps, keep in mind that the Emperor's Hammer is only as strong as its members are! Recruiting serves to better the entire group, so never pass up an opportunity to share the EH with a buddy! And remember... you get a medal for it as well...

Fresh off the presses in the Emperor's Hammer Encyclopaedia Imperia is the Recon Office's very own Graphics Repository. A highly requested feature, the Repository holds all of the patches and posters that any aspiring recruiter could want to use. The page, found here, includes propaganda posters from past competitions, resurrected archival logos, and unit patches, from squadrons to Battlegroups and Houses to Clans. Check it out to see all of the results of your fellow EH members' creativity!
