Considering I have seen two promotions since my last report, I think it's about time I wrote up another one.
- Qualifications Program
- At the beginning of the year
31ABY 32ABY (2023), the Training Office saw the successful launch of the Qualifications Program. Since its introduction, the Imperial University has seen a significant growth and a renewed interest from both students and the volunteer faculty.
- During 32ABY, the Training Office graded 1,057 course submissions (excluding the TCCORE failed spams). Additionally, the Training Office also awarded a total of:
- 185 Certifications
- 3 Graduates
- 22 Medals of Scholarship.
- During 33ABY, the number of submissions has maintained a steady flow of activity within the Imperial University, signaling the success of the Qualifications program, giving the Training Office the incentive needed to move forward on the next steps for the Qualifications program.
- The next level of Qualifications is being discussed and developed, with the hopes of introducing the Masters title before the end of
32ABY 34ABY (2025). Much like the Graduate title, the Masters will require the student to meet some prerequisites in order to apply for a Masters title, including a written dissertation.
- The Qualifications Program has not only motivated our members to excel in their respective fields but has also added a layer of prestige to their achievements. This program has added a structured and rewarding framework for our dedicated students, offering Certificates and Graduates titles to those who have demonstrated commitment and proficiency in their studies, promoting healthy competition and camaraderie, and fostering a sense of pride and dedication among our members. During the month of October (2023), the Training Department saw unprecedented engagement, with over 251 courses graded as part of the TIE Corps' Raise the Flag Competition, which resulted in the awarding of 26 Qualifications, showcasing the dedication and proficiency of our members.
- Future Developments:
- Looking forward, the Training Office is actively working with reactivating the DEAN role, bringing a more hands-on approach to the management of the Imperial University. The reactivation of the DEAN role is a strategic move to enhance the management and development of our academies. Each academy will have one DEAN assigned, responsible for overseeing its operations, ensuring the content remains relevant and engaging, and fostering a positive learning environment
- With the DEANs taking on a more hands-on role, the TO and CA:TO will focus on the critical task of verifying existing course data and exams. This process will involve a thorough review of content, ensuring accuracy, relevancy, and the adherence to established standards.
- The restructure of roles and responsibilities is aimed at improving efficiency within the Training Office. By assigning DEANs to academy-specific tasks, the TO and CA:TO can dedicate their attention to higher-level initiatives, ensuring a more coordinated and strategic approach to training and development.
- Roles and Responsibilities of the DEANs:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of their respective academies.
- Develop and implement new courses and training modules to keep our programs relevant and engaging.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to instructors and students within the academy.
- Act as a liaison between the Training Officer and the academy.
