REPORTING OFFICER: Rear Admiral Alexandre Morgan, CS-6

(Rear Admiral Alexandre Morgan was barely visible behind the stacks of datapads, reports, and papers piled on his desk. Even sitting upright on his chair he could only barely peek above and see the rest of his office.

The chime at his door notified him that there was a guest to visit him in his relative squalor. Rearranging his mess to make a sightline above the desk, he pressed the button on his desk to slide open the door. In walked the newly-appointed Rear Admiral Jai Thorne, who stood at a crisp attention. He was never one to abandon protocol no matter the occasion. "Reporting for duty, sir."

"Good morning, and congratulations," Morgan said. "I saw that the promotion finally went through. Congratulations on the new rank and role - and responsibilities."

Thorne nodded proudly. "Thank you, sir. 'Command Attache' fits quite well, in my opinion." A slight smirk crept to his face, betraying an incoming quip. "For now, at least."

"For now, indeed," Morgan agreed and nodded back. "Which means that you have a lot to learn and I have a lot to teach. Beginning with," he said while waving his arms about disparagingly, "proper organizational techniques, of which I seem to have none."

"Perhaps," Thorne said.

"Quite diplomatic of you," Morgan replied. "How about we start with a meal, though? I haven't eaten all morning." Morgan reciprocated his half-smirk, arming a joke of his own. "How about down in the cantina? I requested some roast nuna a while back, perhaps it'll be prepared today?"

That earned a good-natured glare from Thorne. "You know damn well why not! Unless you want me laying in shock on the cantina floor, I would suggest a meal that I am not allergic to!"

Morgan winked. "If you insist. Let us still head down and see what they have for me." He led the way out the door and down the hall, and the two of them began to discuss their own futures, the future of the Reconnaissance Office, and the future of the Emperor's Hammer.

I delayed this report from the usual schedule and I am very glad that I did! Within these last few weeks, much has been announced and promised. Datapads have piled up on my desk speaking of new developments through the galaxy and in our own space. There is much to discuss, so do not skip anything in this report!
