Welcome to the first (second time around) Executive Officer report. These are infrequent occurrences as most of my engagement, similar to when I was ISP, has been meeting with Rapier, Plif, and Silwar (Surgo) and providing feedback and support for them to accomplish their goals.
You'll see an increase over the next few months as I accelerate some plans and prioritize others. I'd encourage you to review below for those specific updates.
High Admiral Jarek La'an Resignation Appointment
Recently High Admiral Jarek La'an stepped down from his position as Communication Officer. A post he's held for the past five years with great distinction and there will be some updates still from him while he was in that role which are going through the approval processes now.
La'an and I began discussions nearly a year ago when he first broached the topic of stepping down and what he'd do next. I am thrilled that he's decided to join my staff as my Command Attache. The majority of my focus has been advising Rapier, Plif, and Silwar and there is an opportunity for me to take a more direct level of engagement with the Secret Order and the planning around the Hammer's Fist. Having La'an on staff will allow me to ideate faster and hold myself accountable to timelines.
Darth Surgo's Resignation
It is with a sad, and glad, heart that I share Darth Surgo's (Silwar) resignation from Grand Master. As I stated in his recently awarded Golden Lightsaber recommendation he stepped into a situation with little more than a vision and our support. He and his staff have delivered an amazing new Path system that I am excited to see continue to be developed.

What started in July 2023 as a dream, a vision, for a rebuilt Dark Brotherhood, as the Secret Order of the Emperor's Hammer. Has been achieved over these past 22 months under the unwavering leadership of Darth Surgo. His direction and oversight of the Dark Council has led to sustainable growth of the subgroup, and the projects being undertaken by the Dark Council will only serve to continue this trend.
The Dark Brotherhood was a subgroup built primarily on PvP excellence with secondary focus on the creative arts. The Secret Order turns this on it's head and focuses on roleplay and creative arts with a secondary gaming focus. Leaving the primary gaming to the other subgroups of the Emperor's Hammer.
This was the vision and is now the reality. Darth Surgo made this possible, and it is with a Heavy heart that we see him step down from this position.
His leadership will be sorely missed and the Dark Council will honour the memory or Darth Surgo's reign.

When I was invited by Grandmaster Darth Surgo to join the Dark Council as Master-at-Arms to help rebuild the Dark Brotherhood, I was uncertain whether we could succeed in such a difficult task. However, thanks to Surgo's structural and systematic approach, the results exceeded anything I could have hoped for. Under his leadership, we were able to transform a dying subgroup into the Secret Order, reaffirming our belief that this community should shine through art, fiction, and roleplay. True to the meaning behind his chosen Darth Name, he ensured that the Secret Order could rise to power once more. I will truly miss his leadership and diplomatic insight in the decisions that lie ahead and see him leave the Dark Council with heavy Heart.

As some are aware I joined as Herald in August of 2023, Brought on board by Darth Surgo to take on tasks involving Art and Graphics needed to build the Secret Order upon . Surgo has been a good leader, actively setting out dates and times for our meetings and providing guidance for the tasks which needed to be completed. I am saddened to see him leave the position of Grandmaster, his presence there will be missed. I look forward to the future of the Secret Order and for what is to come, yet will still hold the memory of his place in the DC.

Darth Surgo's Retention of Darth Title
As part of the Path system for the Secret Order there are numerous changes being implemented. One that I am particularly proud of is that the title of Darth will no longer be limited to the Grand Master and/or Deputy Grand Master.
The title is now a unique recognition that may be awarded by the Fleet Commander, Executive Officer, or Grand Master. As such, I am authorizing Darth Surgo to be the first to retain the title of Darth with his departure from the role of Grand Master.
Temporary Grand Master Lap'lamiz
After discussing with Rapier I have temporarily assumed the role of Grand Master within the Secret Order. This is primarily an administrative role while the Secret Order rolls out the Path System and, given the plethora of talent within the Dark Council and the talent assembled that Rapier and I locate an individual who will work well with the team and continue it's growth and development.
In doing this I have set two hard requirements for myself. The first, that I will be in the role for a minimum of one month to gain a deeper understanding of the Dark Council's work, their pipeline of activities, and what is needed from the EHCS as well as Rapier and myself to support them achieving their objectives.
The second, is that I will be in this role for no more than six months. It is not my intention to serve as the long-term leader of the Secret Order, in addition to my role as Executive Officer. It is my duty to find the right leader in due course.
I am certain this will generate interest and I am equally certain people will reach out. At this time I'm focused on the support needed for the Dark Council and, if, public applications will be sought I'll share more information at that time. Until then, we'll operate as myself as Grand Master for day-to-day management.
Hammer's Fist
This is very much a white whale for me as I am committed to finding a way to effectively bring back this element to the Emperor's Hammer. The challenges are numerous and I am committing to making sizable progress in the next couple months in this area.
