Hex 0905

The Emperor’s Hammer would need all of their ships to defeat the Kiliji menace. So when the distress call came from a Battlegroup 1 Intedictor fallen under attack by the alien force, Hector and others responded to their call.

The plan was simple. Attack one of the Killiji cruisers and turn its weapons against the other ships. Such an action would aid the Intedictor and provide the Secret Order an enemy capital ship to study.

Hector flew besides 2 transports filled with Heavy Assault stormtroopers in his Firebird A wing.

Enemy fighters streamed forth. Hector fired his rapid fire lasers in a wide arc, more concerned with forcing the enemy to make space than racking up destroyed ships.

The strike force pushed through the enemy screen, losing several fighters along the way.

The group blasted open the enemy hangar, landing inside and disembarking their transports.

One group of heavy troops moved to the engine room while the other pushed to the bridge.

Hector moved with the bridge group. The narrow corridors were an aid to the Kiffar. There was less space to cover with his training saber; so he was able to protect others in addition to himself.

Gripping his saber with both hands, he deftly maneuvered the saber, blocking each incoming shot with trained ease.

The troopers behind him used the blade as cover, hiding behind Hector as they slowly advanced.

They advanced to the bridge. The rank and file Killiji would obey their leaders unquestionably. But many of the leaders were cowards.

The crew of the cruiser was no exception. The bridge crew surrendered with little conflict, allowing the Emperor’s Hammer to turn its weapons on the other alien vessels.

The state of the battle had grown less certain yet the outcome could favor either side.
