Hex 1107

The Emperor’s Hammer and Kilji forces had encountered one another at this point. Perhaps it was merely an accident. Perhaps it was the will of the Force at work.

Either way, the capital ships of each side now engaged one another at Hex 1107. And Hector Von Ricmore had come to assist.

Arriving in his personal vessel, the Marauder Corvette Lord of Iron, the Kiffar opened up a transmission to the allied EH ship the A/CRS Annihilator.

“This is Hector Von Ricmore of the Secret Order, responding to your distress call. Keep your Tie’s in reserve in case anything unexpected happens. We can’t take an entire Kilji fleet alone but I think we can bloody their noses before fleeing the system. Link up targeting solutions, we’ll focus fire on one ship.”

The EH vessel responded in the affirmative, sending over targeting data. The duo would target a Kilji cruiser, hopefully dealing damage before they made their escape.

The void of space filled with turbolaser fire.

The Kilji cruiser took blast after blast from the EH ships. The Kilji fleet returned fire, rapidly depleting the shields of the two EH vessels.

But the Lord Of Iron held more than just turbolasers. It’s hangar space was used to house a squadron of Vulture Droids armed with buzz droid missiles. Such droids would provide the opportunity that the EH needed.

“EH vessel Annihilator prepare to jump to hyperspace. We’ll be providing a momentary distraction.”

Turning to his crew he ordered. “Launch all Vulture droids. Have them target the Cruiser with buzz droid missiles.”

The twelve droids launched from the hangar. The Kilji vessels launched fighters to intercept the droids.

The fighters danced around one another, each side hunting the other in a game of cat and mouse. The vulture droids were quickly overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of the enemy fighters and were forced to fire the buzz droid missiles before arriving at an optimal range.

The missiles exploded, sending a cloud of buzz droids at the cruiser. Point defense weapons obliterated droid after droid. But a few droids slipped past the defenses, landing on the cruiser and disabling its shields before being destroyed.

The EH vessels jumped to hyperspace, shields down, armor damaged, but still intact. They would live to fight another day due to the sacrifice of the vulture droids.
