MOTTO: Bloodshed, Wisdom, Immortality

Clan Tarentum is one of seven clans in the Dark Brotherhood. Within it are three houses:
House Cestus (Obelisk)
House Gladius (Krath)
House Tridens (Sith)

Clan Tarentum is located in the Yridia System in the Minos Cluster. The Minos Cluster, on the fringes of known space, has only been recently colonized. Minos offers an excellent strategic base from which to attack. About Yiridia is not much known. There was once an attempt to colonize the moons and the planet but the few colonists were abandoned there. Afterwards the first members of Clan Tarentum came there and build our headquarters there, Castle Tarentum. This is also where our Sith House, Tridens resides when they are not on their ships. Our Obelisk House, Cestus is located on the moon Koros orbiting Yridia II. House Gladius is based in the Itaana Asteriod Belt at the edge of the Yridia System.

House Tridens ~ Ships

Tridens, the Sith House of Tarentum are proud Dark Jedi who serves the dark side of the force. These men and women battle the forces of light in powerful warships, bristling with the newest and strongest weaponry available. These ships are the homes of the Tridens members when they are not in dock. Their fighters and shuttles are docked on these ships, and are the lifeblood and protection of Tarentum’s home, Castle Tarentum.

Assault Frigate Assailant
Assault Frigate

Name/Model: Assault Frigate
Designer/Manufacturer: Rendili Star Drive
Combat Designation: Assault starship
Length: 700 meters
Crew: 5000
Starfighter Capacity: 1 Squadron
Weapons:
20 Quad Laser Cannons
15 Laser Cannons
15 Turbolaser Batteries
A mainstay of the Rebel fleet, the Alliance's "Assault Frigates" are modified versions of Rendili's Dreadnaught. All such ships have been altered so that the required crew and necessary maintenance is substantially reduced. Much of the internal structure is exposed to space, and fin-mounted engines provide added maneuverability. However, the Empire has stolen plans for the Assault Frigate, and is now replacing their ageing Dreadnought fleets.

A revised version of Rendili's Dreadnaught-class starship, the assault frigate was stripped of its outer shell to increase engine capacity and fuel efficiency. Two dorsal solar fins were also added, increasing maneuverability and energy production. There were no docking bays on an assault frigate, but there were 20 retractable docking tubes that could be extended from the ship's holds. The assault frigate was also equipped with a great deal of droid and computer-automated systems. Thus, crew requirements for the assault frigate are just 5,000 beings, down from the 16,000 required on the original Dreadnaught.

Battleteam Hammerhead is stationed on the Assailant.

Nebulon-B Frigates Shadowflare and Cerberus
Nebulon-B Frigate

Name/Model: Nebulon EF76-B Escort Frigate
Designer/Manufacturer: Kuat Drive Yards
Combat Designation: Escort Starship
Length: 300 meters
Crew: 920 (77 officers, 843 enlisted)
Starfighter Capacity: 2 Squadrons
Weapons:
12 Taim & Bak XI 7 Turbolasers (computer assisted targeting)
12 Borstel RH8 Laser Cannons
Two Phylon-Q7 Tractor Beam Projectors

The designation of the Kuat Drive Yards EF76B Escort ship, the Nebulon-B Escort Frigate is a strangely shaped ship that has a long, thin hull with its main decks hanging off the front end and the engines hanging off the rear. It measured 300 meters in length. They are slow, unwieldy ships, and were designed to carry a number of TIE Fighters as protection. Originally built for Imperial escort duty just after the Battle of Yavin, the Alliance was able to capture a number of them intact, and used these frigates as medical ships. They had a normal crew of 920. They were built at a cost of 194,000,000 credits, not quite a fifth the cost of an Imperial-class Star Destroyer.

The Nebulon-B Frigate boasts the following shipboard systems:
12 Borstel RH8 Laser Cannon Batteries
2 Phylon-Q7 Tractor Beam Projectors
Serridge SEAL Shielding System (rated at 160 SBD)
12 Taim and Bak XI7 Turbolaser Batteries
Plat Dromma Targeting Computer
Triple Tam Stardrive and Hyperdrive Motivator
Fabritech ANs 9.5w Wide Range Sensor System
Fighter Bays: - 2 TIE Interceptor Squadrons.
KDY also produced a modified version of the Nebulon-B frigate, aptly named the Nebulon-B2. The primary difference between the B and the B2 is in the forward section of the ship. The Nebulon-B has a deep-based forward pod that extends well below the aft engine section. The Nebulon-B2 has a smaller forward pod, comparable in size to the engine pod. Attached the smaller pod, in order to gain stability, are two downward-planed wings. It is otherwise exactly the same as the original Nebulon-B. (Source: Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia).

The Nebulon-B Escort Frigate was designed primarily to combat starfighters and to combat with capital ships. It is relatively weak compared to other capital ships. However, few of the older ships outside Star Destroyers can effectively combat this frigate. The fact that so many have fallen into Rebel hands to the point that they are a common sight in Rebel fleets is a cause for concern.

Battleteam Stingray serves aboard the Shadowflare and the Battleteam Sub-Zero serves on the Cerberus.

Ships name origins

The names of the ships were chosen by a mass vote by the clan itself, to make them unique, and stand out in the Dark Brotherhood fleet.

Cerberus — The three headed hound that guards the gates of Hades. Its tail was a serpent, which spat poison. A horrible creature distills fear into the air around it. Vicious, violent, aggressive. Only able to be defeated by the most powerful of heroes. It is definite death to any in his way.
Cerberus

Shadowflare — A shadow, is a dark, evil phenomenon, scares children. Danger is often foreboding by shadows. Flare, a flash of light, meant to make night into day. Shadowflare is a major contradiction, dark and light, black and white, Dark Jedi and Light Jedi. Shadowflare is the contradiction within ourselves, and so shows us that the Dark was indeed our path to walk.

Assailant — Attacker, vicious, violent, and dangerous. Uses the darkness to deceive his victim. He holds power in darkness; his strength is drawn from it. The darkness is his ally and friend, guiding him to his destiny. Never forgetting, never forgiving, never changing. He will strike again and again, until the life in his enemy is gone.
