Captains

Captain Lorth Needa

Lorth Needa was a human male from Coruscant. He served as a Lieutenant Commander of a Carrack-class light cruiser until becoming Captain of the Imperial Star Destroyer Avenger, one of the ships used by Darth Vader's personal armada, Death Squadron.

He was a ruthless and capable commander who took responsibility for his failures.

Some accomplishments include
  • Was the Lieutenant Commander of Strike Group Five of the Coruscant Home Defense Fleet, where he commanded the Carrack-class light cruiser Integrity.
  • Took part in the Battle of Coruscant where Sheev Palpatine was kidnapped by General Grievous before the Separatist plot was foiled. During the Battle Needa and his ships surrounded the Separatist flagship the Invisible Hand.

Some failures include
  • After the Battle of Hoth Needa led a ship that pursued the infamous Rebel ship the Millennium Falcon. He was outsmarted when the Falcon disappeared from scanners. His lack of knowledge on military history erroneous gave him the impression that no ship that size has ever had a cloaking device, when during the Clone Wars, approximately 25 years earlier, the IPV-2C Stealth Corvette had a cloaking device and with an only slightly higher cubed meter mass. Reasonable to believe advances in technology could fit it in smaller ships. Despite coincidentally being correct that it was not cloaking, he failed to extrapolate any possibilities for their location and rightly paid for the mistake with his life.

Applicable Lesson
  • Knowing history informs futures. More practically, if you do not detect any ship entering hyperspace, consider the possibility that they didn’t and are still around. Deploy a squadron to visually look around when scanners can't be trusted.

Captain Gilad Pelleaon

Pelleaon was a human male who successfully served in the Empire for many years Even joining the Shadow Council and contributed in their efforts to secretly rejoin the fragments of the Empire back into a cohesive whole. Believing that Grand Admiral Thrawn's leadership could lead to a resurgence in the Imperial Military.

As one of Thrawn's trusted officers and a knack for the politics of being an officer, he managed to parlay his post into considerable power after the death of our Emperor.

Some accomplishments include
  • Participated in the Third Fleet's anti-piracy campaign in the Esaga sector in 1 BBY.
  • Served as a captain in the naval forces of the Galactic Empire, commanding the Imperial Star Destroyer Harbinger as part of Grand Admiral Balanhai Savit's Third Fleet, until Savit's treachery and theft was revealed. After Pallaeon diligently looked into the matter, he commanded the sole destroyer of three that were left in the Third Fleet, to then help Grand Admiral Thrawn and Commodore Karyn Faro arrest Savit. Pallaeon and the Harbinger were then moved to Thrawn's Seventh Fleet.
  • In 9 ABY Pallaeon, along with Commandant Brendol Hux, contributed to Moff Gideon's extermination of numerous Mandalorians. A group that could pose a significant threat should they consolidate.
Some failures include
  • Participated in the blockade of Lothal until its liberation in 1 BBY when all ships were destroyed by spacefaring Purrgil and Grand Admiral Thrawn was taken along with his flagship the Chimaera by the flying Purrgil beasts at the command of Jedi Padawan Ezra Bridger of the Spectres. Losing the planet Lothal to the Rebels. A planet the Empire never returned to.
Applicable Lesson
  • Applicable lesson- Rebel scum must rely on tricks as they do not possess the strength or skill to win in a head on fight. Anticipate even the highly improbable when dealing with the Rebel's pursuit of chaos. Consider the possibility of the unorthodox.
