So I'm only giving this 4/5 for one reason, and that's because I couldn't use the WAV pack due to doing the parenting thing. That said, this is an EXCELLENT mission. What it lacks in depth it makes up for in challenge, and any excuse to fly the E-Wing is always appreciated, especially in XWA which has been sadly lacking until now!
If only there were plans to put the E-Wing in TFTC...

At first I wasn't going to post reviews of my own missions, but as Frodo would have said PAR!
I think this is a great mission. It is a bit too long to be honest, but a fun use of the E-Wing.

A fun battle pitting a pair of E-Wings against a variety of different fighter craft. It would be reductionist to call this a simple "training mission" though - the amount of effort put into the briefing, combat logs, and the wav pack (which you should absolutely install) pushes this mission into one of the more well-polished in our archives. It is a long mission, but it's certainly not boring, and the twist at the end was fun and could make this an interesting competition mission.
As for the E-Wing: wings are a little too wide, the triangle lasers are weird, but the high energy recharge rate makes it comfortable to fly. 7/10 craft.

This one is a fun gauntlet! A bit of a long mission but exciting the whole way through plus a few surprises. I felt like I had earned an E-Wing Gold Combat Medallion by the end of it.

1] Create a backup of the following original files so that you will be able to restore them after
uninstall.

2] To Install the Crest, either install patch or place the files in the following directories.
fronttxt.txt >>>>> \XWingAlliance\
squad5.cbm >>>>\XWingAlliance\Frontres\Tour
3] To install custom audio files copy the Wave folder into the \XWingAlliance\ root directory.
Note: The radio files contained in the \MissionVoice\ folder will work in all versions of
XWA. The custom briefing audio in the \Frontend\ folder will only work in a digital copy
or XWAU.
4] To install custom emails copy the email file into the \XWingAlliance\Missions folder
5] Double click the .EHM file, the EH Battle Launcher will install the battle
6] Create a new pilot via the EHBL, make sure to check the 'prepare for EH battle' box
7] Press the X-wing Alliance button on the EHBL to start the game and fly the mission
8] Alternately, place files included in zip folder in the Mission folder of the X-Wing Alliance directory.
9] NOTE: When you complete the battle, you MUST delete the custom WAVE/Frontend folder, otherwise the
briefing audio will play during every custom EH Battle.

Introduction
-------------
Colonel Locke Setzer and General La’an are ardent believers that the E-Wing is a far superior craft to any
that the Rebels are currently using. They chalk this up to an overly powerful X-Wing lobby. They wish to show
the rest of Typhoon Squadron, and others in Battlegroup III, the merits of this forgotten craft and have,
with the blessing of Admiral Stryker, arranged a demonstration of the E-Wing’s formidable capabilities. Their
hope is that by showing the E-Wings superiority, it may become a more widely used craft in the Infiltration
Wing of the Emperor’s Hammer. Although how effective that would be as the New Republic does not widely use
the craft is not important in this operation.
