Description:
Members are to create images as their submissions for this bonus comp. Just one image per pilot will be allowed for the bonus competition. Submissions should be sent to tccom@emperorshammer.org and include a ballpark figure on how long it took to make and a summary of how the image was made.
Building from the Fiction Bonus Comp, the focus for the Graphics Bonus Comp will be images related to the hijacking of the M/PLT Daedalus and the rescue of its crew (or not, from some of the fiction pieces...). You don't have to follow the prompt, but submissions that do will have an edge over the ones that don't. Quality will be part of the criteria for judging but keep in mind that all submissions will earn at least one point for the work and there are five bonus points for participation. The idea of the picture is as important as its execution.
Submissions will be screened for images that already exist somewhere on the internet and have been re-used. This isn't a disqualifying factor as long as the origin of the image is disclosed, but the point of the competition is about creating something new so original content will be scored more highly than derivative works.
Graphics will be graded by the TCCS. The competition’s four first places will award for their squadrons and ships 200, 150, 100 and 50 points respectively and the submissions will also count towards the global Raise the Flag Competition for the pilots. All other participants will earn 5 points for their squadrons and ships. The deadline is 23:59:59pm GMT on Friday, September 25th. First place will be awarded an IS-GR, with IS-SR and IS-BR for the second and third places.
