It's pretty conceptually simple, but you know what? I still love it. Yeah it's kill-kill-kill but it's pretty direct about that and leans into it hard, instead of having some other things go on around you that have no impact on whether or not your mission will succeed.
Also, no complaining about what comes after a mission is over! I didn't make you stick around to fight those capital ships for a high score, that was your choice!
(And it's just one ISD at the end...)

This mission is a loose adaptation of a TIE-Bomber training mission from TIE-Fighter game. You are solo in an X-Wing set against eleven waves of fighters and transports. Some of the waves are quite deadly and make you sweat, like 6 T/Is or 5 GUNs... Nevertheless, you may leave the mission after dealing with those eleven waves. What comes next are capital ships. Corvette is no problem, Frigate took ages to kill... When I saw a Cruiser I bailed out not waiting to see what comes next... ISD? Or two? Sadly unlike in the original training mission, you can't ressuply any of your torpedoes here. Dull mission.

Not a bad mission for XW. Typical kill-kill-kill.
