Battle Reviews

It's pretty rough with the difficulty balance and the waiting times, and is also quite repetetive.

What could have been a decent battle is ruined by several factors, mainly long wait times, lack of additional craft waves (you only ever get one wave), poor mission balancing (most are not beatable on hard) and not putting the enemy on a different iff group when during mirror matchups.

A silly fun storyline with impressive large fights. Unfortunately, unacceptably long wait times plague the battle.

My seventy-eighth battle in the TIE Corps.

Ship variety for these missions are good, provided you enjoy flying rebel craft. Missions are okay, nothing to write home about. Story is a little silly, but light hearted. Be prepared for A LOT of waiting aorund in mission five (5). I would legit say that there was 5 minutes of battle to 20 minutes of waiting. Bug found, reported.

This battle has a solid plotline and a pleasant layout, however as you deepen into the missions, they are the same structure over and over, making it feel repetitive. In addition, some missions have over extended waiting times, making it tedious and somehow boring. A pity, since some of the dogfights were actually very challenging and fun to fly, and also the flexibility to choose a wide array of alphabet fighters gave the player the chance to either work space superiority, multirole fighting or pure old bombing in the Y-Ws. With some minor tweaks, this one could become a golden classic.

No missiles in this mission, even though you're flying rebel alphabet fighters. What's worse, you're flying against Z-95s and the like that *do* have missiles. Why would the IW send pilots out in X-Wings without missiles? That detail took me out of the mission.

Nice idea, nice battle, and except mission 5, quite enjoyable.

Huge, Huge waits, mission 5 is almost 30 minutes long! There is always something docking with something, making everything about twice as long as it should be.

Fantastic battle! I loved it! Very fun, and yet not a cakewalk. I suggest it to everyone, regardless of whether or not your in the IW.

Overall decent battle, although I could swear I played it before when it was called BoP-IW #30.

Well you have to understand an IW rivalry to get the in-joke of the plot. At the time there was a serious ship rivalry between the MC-90 Warspite & MC-90 Fear. The battle is pretty good and has Neo's trademark humor in it. :)

Loved that plot. Funny. Though the whole traitor to the empire thing was not that great it is just a nice plot.

In mission One (1) when friendly craft are escorting the shuttle back to the capital ship, they crash into it.

Mission 6: The capital ships' waypoint pathing causes them to collide andor fly through each other. This is particularly true of the three Star Destroyers.

Agree with Choosh - mission 5 is unacceptable and needs to be fixed. 5 minute wait before action starts, 5 minute action, FIFTEEN minute wait for mission to complete :(

This file will continue to be upgraded as more and more missions are added to
the .lst file.

Mission 1: The Quest for Caffiene by FLT Neo (plotline and mission)

Shock horror! The Warspite has run out of caffiene in any shape or form, so no more late
night briefings or events can be held! We must secure a large source of caffiene, or else the
Warspite's command staff and her pilots will begin to suffer withdrawl symptons and slip into a
coma or actually stop being insomniacs!!

Mission 2: The Stolen Caffiene by CAP Vengance (plotline) and FLT Neo (mission)

More Horror!!! The Warspite has had our newly acquired caffeine has been stolen!! To make
matters worse the pirates who stole our caffiene are trying to further humiliate us by disabling
the Warpsite. Stop this filth and disable their ship so that thier crew can be brought aboard for
a chat with our intel people.

Mission 3: The Search for the Missing Caffiene by CAP Vengance (plotline) and FLT Neo (mission)

We have tracked our stolen caffiene to a remote part of space. The worst part is, is that
the MC-90 Fear has taken it!! We must capture the Fear to show how much better we are!! Capture
all containers in the area as well: they may contain special items which we may be able to use
later on.

Mission 4: The Warspite Reigns Supreme! by CAP Vengance (plotline) and FLT Neo (mission)

Crewers from the Fear have informed us that they shipped some of the caffiene to the
training PLT Destrier. We must capture the Platform and reteive this last bit of our caff. The
MC-90 Fear has been re-crewed with a skeleton crew from the Warspite, and will be able to help us
with and also has a number of it's fighters with it as well. Those trainees don't stand a chance
against Task Force Warspite!!

Mission 5: Great Loss by CAP Vengance (plotline) and FLT Neo (mission)

Following our success against the trainees of Destrier and the disabling of the Ka'tal
and the Despot, which the IW Command Staff was on, they are furious with us. They have ordered us
to relinquish control of the Fear back to the Fear pilots and staff. The Fear currently is
unmanned and incapable of defending itself. Make sure no pirates steal it!!

Mission 6: The Final Blow by CAP Vengance (plotline) and FLT Neo (mission)

The command staff have ordered us to give PLT Destrier and the Despot back as well. We
are to make sure no one at all comes into system and tries to take the Destrier or the Despot.
We can't afford to lose either craft!!
