Fun IW battle. Good choice of Rebel starfighters. Couple of nice mission design bits here.
Story is also good and missions are well designed. Fun time on easy but a bit of waiting.

I think the variation of the missions and the storyline were good, but it was brought down by major balance issues on hard difficulty and some dubious design choices on some of the missions (like craft being invulnerable for no good reason).

Played on Easy. Frankly, it was a bit too easy and there was some waiting around but that is what I get for playing on easy. I liked the story and really felt that I was a false flag force in this one.

The missions are very poorly balanced on higher difficulty, especially mission 5. You are given half a load of warheads and 6 fighters against an entire fleets worth of craft that all start attacking your ships when you complete 25% of the primary mission goal. Mission 3 can only be flown a certain way on hard in order to complete the mission, there is no wiggle room. All in all on hard you are heavily outnumbered and outgunned and do not have the proper resources to manage what is being thrown at you.

A really good battle ! A solid and engaging narrative underpins very enjoyable missions with an appropriate level of challenge. The penultimate mission, a huge three-way brawl is excellent !
My seventy-ninth battle in the TIE Corps.

This was a fun battle that felt well balanced at various difficulty levels; and delivered a narrative story that was believable and immersive to the missions. The only drawback, if I had to pick anything, was the mission briefings were a bit lacking in flair or polish, but they were still very clear and concise in objectives for all the teams.

An excellent battle, with a great plotline that defines what the IW is supposed to do. Infiltrating and wreaking havoc behind enemy lines. The missions are very challenging since they are flown in alphabet fighters, even in the flying coffin the Wishbone, aka the Y-W. You will have to endure a long list of hard assignments, from capture operations, to protect VIPs, dogfighting and convoy raiding. One of the best in the IW list in my opinion.

I picked this one based on its high reviews, and I'm glad I did - it was a fun battle with a well thought out plotline. The bases made out of containers were particularly clever. I can see why it's the top rated XvT-IW battle!

The Infiltrator Wing rides again! This battle is everything an Infiltrator Wing battle should be. A great storyline involving false flag and destabilization options working to the advantage of the Emperor's Hammer. There is a variety of missions fro capturing starfighters to an assault on a base assembled creatively using containers and mines, to a fantastic dogfighting, capital ship, knock down drag out space battle. This is my favorite battle I've played in the EH and I heartily recommend it, especially to my fellow Y-Wing fans.

This is a great battle, quite possibly one of the best XvT battles I've ever flown and definately the best IW battle. I love the use of containers to make bases. Missions 4 and 5 are particularly fun.

Good Battle, tough on Hard and challenging on Medium difficulty. I think some missions should be more active, since most of the real trouble gets taken care by capital ships, other than that, and not being an IW member, I can only say its a good battle regardless of the less fashionable rebel fighters.

That was an excellent battle! I'm not an IW member, mostly because I don't like rebel fighters too much, however at this time flying in Y/W was a pleasure! :P Very original, with interesting plotline battle, really worth to fly.

Not a single mission lasted for a short period of time (30 seconds I think not). Also liked the interesting use of containers.

This is a well rounded IW battle with enough different objectives for all skill levels in my opinion. Thanks for your efforts to bring us another IW battle LC Linkan!

It has good missions, it has bad missions, it has action-packed missions, it has missions where you kill everything in thirty seconds. It's a decent mix, I suppose.

Duplicate identical flight groups on greater than easy* difficulty (X-Wing Serigo x2)
2025-08-16
Throughout the entire battle: Craft are missing roles on the mission briefing screen. Warspite is incorrectly identified as an MC90 cruiser when the MC80 cruiser model is used.
Mission 1: Message about the destruction of the fighters and the retreat of the strike cruiser play before the fighters are all destroyed. Therefore spelled incorrectly in the mission description. Asteroids are given their own team, which is nonsensical.
Mission 2: Nav buoys convoy arrival cargo spelled incorrectly. All crafts should be all craft.
Mission 3: All craft are missing contents: the field is blank somehow instead of saying unknown as it normally does. Have/has issues from previous missions reappear. CRV, SPC & FRG go home despite having no orders to do so. Duplicate identical flight groups on greater than hard difficulty (X-Wing Serigo x2) message text for a-wing group g'natel is the wrong color: even though they are posing as g'natel fighters their text should match their iff code. There is a SECRET team but it isn't used for anything.
Mission 4: All craft are missing contents: the field is blank somehow instead of saying unknown as it normally does. Container A group is missing a name. Modular conveyor & corvette should be has been captured not have.
Mission 5: All uses of the word have need to be replaced with has. Serigo & G'Natel capital ships are lacking enough waypoints to allow them to cycle through them, causing them to remain stationary at a certain point.
Mission 6: Text color for the nostrami is blue instead of purple. In the conditions to prevent goal destroyed is spelled incorrectly. Spaceport F-16 has a goal of flying flight plan when it cannot move.
2025-08-15
Mission 1: MC90 Fear will kill the fighters that are supposed to be captured if they get too close to it.

Title: The Antarillo Civil War Missions: 6 Medal: Antarillo Silver Cross Game Platform: X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter Author: A:IWTAC/LC Linkan/MC-60 Warhammer/IW/EH E-Mail: eh_linkan@hotmail.com TC Pin: #3832 IW Pin: #127 Required patches ---------------- * EH Ship Patch for XvT Installation instructions -------------------------- 1] Make sure you have the EH Ship Patch for XvT installed 2] Double click the .EHM file, the EH Battle Launcher will install the battle 3] Check the Misc folder in your XvT one for additional material like patches, sounds etc. 4] Press the X-wing vs TIE Fighter button on the EHBL to start the game 5] Create a new pilot and fly the Imperial training missions Description: The goal of this campaign is to manipulate two strong political parties on the planet of Antarillo to the edge of civil war. The idea is to get their two military forces to engage each other, making it easier for the Emperor's Hammer to capture the planet and its resources without loosing too many Imperial lives in the process. Note that this battle is intended to be flown on MEDIUM or HARD. Flying on EASY will not give you the same feeling, although it's recommended to use this difficulty setting if you find the mission(s) too tough.
