Commodore HA Dempsey reporting
Report ID: H.AD.009
Report date: April 5, 2015
Hi folks. I'm back from a short leave of absence in which I visited the France Sector of the Outer Rim. Unfortunately time was too short to explore all of it, but I did manage to have a good look around the Paris system, and then especially the planets which the indigineous population has named 'Eifel Tower', 'Champs Élysées', and 'Montmartre'. It was fun.
As I came home, there was a lot of good stuff in my email inbox, including the long awaited Commendations of Loyalty, one MSE, a new recruit (welcome to you, LT Archenksov), and two promotions! Unfortunately, there were also things not so good... Something went wrong with a TCoP submission somewhere, COL Harvey beat me at TIE two weeks in a row now, and I would have liked to have seen not one, but four MSEs. Fortunately, I somehow managed to earn myself a Distinguished Flying Cross which hasn't happened for the longest time, so soit.
The March Mayhem competition is done, and although I'm not happy with overall participation, I do see some bright lights. The participation in the trivia was good, and the code proved its usefullness. Still, there is room for improvement. Congratulations are still in order for LC Clark who dominated the competition!
As I'm still tired, I'm gonna wrap this report up right here :)

Dempsey's Weekly Riddles
Every week, the report will have a riddle. First pilot to send the correct answer to the mailing list wins. Each victory earns you an IS-BR. Unless it's a 5th victory, you then get a IS-SR. Unless it's a 10th victory, which gives you an IS-GR. A 25th victory will give you an IS-PR!
This week's riddle: Two stormtroopers find a gold minted coin on one of their patrols. They decide to flip for it, and the winner gets the coin. The problem is though, that the coin is fixed so that it comes up heads far more than it comes up tails. What is a fair way for them to flip for it, with both having the same chance of winning?
Last week's winner: CM Hawkins and LC Tempest
Current standings: VA Woody: 5; LC Clark: 2; HA Bonini, COL La'an, LC Tempest, CPT Fenn, CM Jast, CM Hawkins, LCM Doc: 1
Hammer on Recon
Submit your StarConflict screenshots to me. For Domination and Beacon Hunt, the highest number of captures wins. For Team Battle and Combat recon, the highest number of "kills" wins, with assists counting for half a kill (rounded up). Submissions not earning a medal will earn an activity point. First place wins an IS-SW, 2nd a IS-BW (with 2 submissions or more, otherwise IS-BW for first). Submissions earn 4 pts for 1st, 3 pts for 2nd, 2 pts for 3rd and 1 pt for others. At the end of the month, the top 3 MP flyers will earn an IS-GW, IS-SW and IS-BW. 10 activity points wins an IS-BW and every 50th activity point will earn an IS-SW. Tie breakers: kills for Domination and Beacon Hunt, Captain Kill or pure kills for Team battle and Combat Recon.
