Vapen was making the familiar walk from the squadron barracks to his office in the hangar. There was some pesky paperwork that never seemed to stop piling up. However, this time, he was walking with purpose in his step, after all, this was the first time in months he had news like this! Sitting down at the desk, he looked over a couple brief items before he couldn't contain himself any longer. He checked that his comm-link was on the Warrior frequency instead of the squadron's, and keyed his mic.

"Lieutenant Jai Thorne and Lieutenant Nix Varro, report to Theta Commander's Office," he said and let go of the mic. He debated if he should light the cigar now, or wait for them to arrive.

After just a few minutes of waiting, the door chime sounded, and let in both Lieutenants. After seeing some crumbs on their uniforms and a napkin sticking out of a pocket, Vapen surmised that they must have been at mess hall together, explaining the simultaneous arrival. They sat in the only two other chairs in the office as Vapen began,

"Well Lieutenants, as you know, I've talked to you individually about your interest, and Command has given their approval. LT Jai, I'm pleased to tell you will be Theta's next Flight Leader. Congratulations!" he said as he pulled out three glasses and a bottle of Chalquila.

"Thank you, sir, it's an honor. But it's pronounced 'Jay'."

"My apologies LT, I'll make sure to get that right moving forward."

Vapen then turned to LT Nix, "And you... Well its my pleasure to tell you that you have been approved as Squadron Executive Officer!"

"It's my honor, sir. As long as you're willing to take the heat for the busted top wing of the Defender from my test flight."

Vapen eyed him for a moment before saying, "So you did that too? I busted 2 top wings before I started to remember it was there."

The three Imperial Officers chuckled as Vapen poured each of them a glass of the Chalquila. They sat in the office and talked until long after the bottle was empty, busy planning the future for Theta, it's leadership team, and how they would fit into the command structure, responsibilities. By far, they spent the longest time talking about pasts, misadventures and all. The future was looking bright for the historic Theta Squadron.

Imperial Storm is a turn based war game that the Emperor's Hammer runs annually. During the event, the Battlegroups will conduct combat operations to identify and destroy enemy forces on a map.

One battle each from TIE, XvT, XWA and TFTC will be assigned monthly. Pilots will fly the battles and submit their pilot files through the database normally. The WO receives a copy of all BSFs, so neither pilot files nor BSFs need to be forwarded to the WO unless the submission gets queued in the database. In the case of a queued submission, send the pilot file to the WO.

Pilots within the official organizational guilds on the Star Forge server (“Emperor’s Hammer” for the Sith Empire and “Infiltrator Wing” for the Republic) will compete against each other for placement awards while they aide the organization to meet its in-game goals.
