network was restored today! Why is that
news for us? Well aside from making your Quaestor much happier about his Red
Dead Redemption playing time, it also means Star Wars Galaxies is back! Those
of you that play Galaxies can get more information at the main Emperor’s Hammer
website.

I did a little searching on the actual definition
of the word "Reavers" our House nickname. Let me share the results:
reave 1 (riËv) — vb (foll by of ) , reaves , reaving , reaved , reft 1. to
carry off (property, prisoners, etc) by force 2. See also reive to deprive;
strip [Old English reÄfian ; related to Old High German roubÅn to rob, Old
Norse raufa to break open] reave 2 (riËv) — vb , reaves , reaving , reaved ,
reft archaic to break or tear (something) apart; cleave [C13 reven , probably
from reave 1 and influenced in meaning by rive ] So I started thinking,
wouldn't it be interesting to have a short fiction contest to write a story
featuring that aspect of our House? So... You have two weeks to write a short
piece of fiction (at least two pages) about a solo secret mission given to you
by your brilliantly nefarious and bloodthirsty leader (me) which revolves
around you 'reaving.' Hopefully in June we'll be able to bring back a Monthly
Topic for the Brotherhood as a whole, until then, have fun with this. I'll add
the best submissions to the archive as House 'canon.' Have fun, I look forward
to reading your submissions.

Activities
There’s several MB activities including the Ice Cream Run run on.
There are several flying competitions active so warm up your engines and grab your flight stick and go get some medals!
Keep in
mind that if you are a pilot, Battles and missions can be submitted as both TC
and DB activity for the same mission, so be sure to deluge your BTL (and me)
with cc: s of anything you fly.
There
are always courses available to be taken in the EH university of your choice
for activity.
Final Thoughts
Our move
to a new server is complete, and everything should be back up and running
smoothly. I’ll have another new competition beginning this week, so keep an eye
out for an email announcing it. There are several competitions going on so get
involved and get some Sword of Drakonan points. Tuba has a large lead
currently, but nothing a good activity spurt can’t challenge. I’m still looking
for ideas and activities for the Obelisk and welcome any suggestions on that
front. I’d also ask that anyone interested in any sort of multiplayer gaming on
any platform let me know. If we can set up some gaming nights I’d like to do so
for whatever platforms we can.
Personally, I’d love to see some Republic Commando, and Empire at
War/Forces of Corruption activity. Though there is always flying MP and if we
can get enough people together maybe we can have a multiplayer flying event and
bring back Clusters of Fire to the Dark Brotherhood again. Let me hear from
you, if you’re interested.
