1) The new company and its platoons have opened. As expected, there was a short period of turmoil as members were reassigned, promoted, or otherwise confused by the reorganization. Otherwise, the transition has gone smoothly. Unit pride should rise since there are more units to participate in the Platoon League and other unit events.

2) The Distinguished Service Star, the third-highest medal in the Hammer's Fist, has gotten a new image. It can be seen on HF member profiles of those who have earned it. http://www.minos.net/~hammersfist/profile.php?pin=2 is one such profile.

3) The Dark Legionnaire, after a bit of a haitus, will be out this coming week. The new issue will be Issue #17.

4) Commander, Training Marenta is working on getting the Carrida Stormtrooper Military Academy more automated to fascilitate exam turn-around time. It will hopefully just plain make courses easier to take.

5) Operation: Dark Screen - the subgroup-wide contest seems to be underway again. Thanks to Lander for running it so far, and to Mordred for picking it up and continuing with it. The new Operation site is: http://darthmordred.digitalrice.com/opds/

"Salute Fellow TC and EH Members.

I am CM Andrew. I have to make an apology to make directed to all of you. In the past few days, I have been submitting Javascript code to the EH Code Archive. Most of the 22 submissions were taken from websites and it wasn't my own code. I apologize for plagarizing this and taking away the oppertunity from other people to submit their original code. I have to say that I didn't even think that it was illegal and dishonest at the time of posting, but that really doesnt make a difference. I hope this incident teaches everyone else the consequences of this and will stop anyone else from doing it. Again, Plagiarism is a very serious offense in the EH, as well as it should be. I am sincerely sorry to all EH members, especially the ones who posted regularly in the CA. Please accept this as heartfelt and a sincere apology.

In loyal service of the Empire,

1) Membership has fallen, or rather, has become more accurate. An AWOL check was performed on the Orion Platoon (our recruits unit). Idle recruits were cut, dropping the number of recruits by about 90%. Sounds pretty stunning, but that many idlers would explain why Orion was showing no movement of members to the grown up platoons.

2) The second company, Nova Company, has officially opened. With the reopened company come new officers:
Company Commander COL Nav'ric Trow
Platoon Commander (Umbra) 2LT Dante
Platoon Commander (Eclipse) LT Sarreti (transfered to Eclipse)

3) The HF site is getting a new look from the office of the Commander, Design. CDe Mordred will hopefully have the work done and in CI-T Zsinj's hot hands soon. It'll be the first really new look since the site became stable and dependable under Zsinj.

4) The functions of the CSMA are being integrated into the HF main site. Zsinj is trying to do this, but real life is keeping him busy. Still, it's progressing.

5) Operation: Dark Screen is in a lull for a bit longer as ADV Lander has been laid up ill, delaying getting to CDe Mordred the details needed to run the operation. The operation should be back in full swing by my next report.

6) The Distinguished Service Star medal image will be done before the end of the weekend. Just doing fine details and then the rendering. The DSS is the third-highest medal in the Hammer's Fist. The medal consists of a central five-pointed star surrounded by five satallite stars held together by a ring of gold and red. The ribbon is also golden-red with the Hammer's Fist Imperial symbol embroidered in black.

7) A few members were awarded with medals and promotions recently. These individuals include:
MEDALS:
PTE Big Waynie ---> Ice Cross
PTE Rebel Slayer ---> Ice Cross
MSG Malik ---> Ice Cross
2LT Delak ---> Cross of Obedience

PROMOTIONS:
2LT Delak ---> LT Delak Krennel
LT Liandri ---> CPT Liandri
PFC TK-Trent ---> LCP TK-Trent
PTE Keiran ---> PFC Keiran
PTE Aloth ---> PFC Aloth
PFC Shadowmaker ---> LCP Shadowmaker
SPL Balefire ---> SGT Balefire
CPL Phalk Sturm ---> SPL Phalk Sturm

Congratulations to all!

My EHNet - An EH'ers Home Page!

One of the largest endeavors of the Internet Office has finally been released as of today! Ladies and gentlemen, it is my extreme pleasure to present to you My EHNet or also known as MyDot at http://my.ehnet.org! MyDot is a project that is completely coded by our very own IOA Alex Foley. Alex has been working on MyDot for about a month now, and his work and effort put into it matches the quality of the final result! My EHNet allows you to customize your very own EH start page with news and information from all over - TC news, BHG news, random IRC quotes, World News, Sports news, Internet news and LOTS, LOTS MORE! There are over 30 blocks to choose from and 8 different themes for the site so that you can view the site to YOUR preferences. That's not all! My EHNet comes with a fully functional EH search engine! Currently, there aren't as many links as we'd like, but we hope that EVERYONE will submit a link to their own personal EH webpages. The more sites we get, the better the search engine works! Also, CA:IO Mutilator is working on a full-indexing search engine which will not only search the sites in the database, but it will search the actual pages of each site, such as Yahoo or AltaVista. For his hard work on a simply superb site both in appearance and coding, I am awarding IOA Alex Foley a Gold Star! What I really hope is that many EHers actually do take advantage of My EHNet and set it as their homepages, and tell your friends about it too! I know I definitely will!

More info about My EHNet and the IO's new medal giveaway in IO Report #48!

IO Code Archive

After a little bit of a wait, the Internet Office is proud to release it's newest creation, the IO Code Archive, magnificently coded by AD Turtle. Here you can find all sorts of little tidbits and code snippets that should definitely prove useful some time or another as a web developer. If there are any requests or suggestions you have for code to be posted that you think might be useful, e-mail FA Ari or another member of the Internet Office Staff. For the web programmers of the EH, the IO Code Archive is definitely a place to bookmark!

Also congratulations go out to Major Shae Kitane and Colonel Beef, both of whom have been awarded the Gold Star of the Empire for their services to the TIE Corps.

Lastly, some of you may have noticed that the TIE Corps membership now stands at 2000+, the highest it's ever been!

1) The Hammer's Fist is reopening its Bravo "Nova" Company. Our active membership isn't near large enough to support the move with our current structure, so platoons will shrink as will companies until our membership rises more. Platoons will have 3 squads and companies will have 2 platoons. This is down from four and three respectively. Squad strength of 8 members remains the same, although in practice, they are all operating at half strength.

2) The Commander, Operations Lander has retired from his post and has taken up position as a Prefectual Advisor. The current Operation underway (Dark Screen) will continue with the help of Mordred and Ironfist (if there are others, forgive me for forgetting your names).

3) On the topic of advisors, I have thinned my 'war cabinet' to MG Lander and BG Vladkov. This is the fewest number of advisors I can recall having.

4) Two CSMA courses are pending review on my desk: Scout Trooper and Aquatic Assault Trooper. The academy continues to become a more interesting place.

The competition will be held on The Zone against participating clubs. LoCs will be awarded, so please come out! I would also like to note that the EH is signed up for XvT WoW, which will start on July 19 and go until July 26. I have been impressed with pilot participation in WoW events, and I'm sure this one will get a great response as well!

End Of Imperial Storm III

After doing a total recounting of all teams possessions, including points on hand, values of all items possesed (including probes) and counting each planet to be worth it's daily RP value, I find the following new values:

ATF has 16090 after recounting

Sov has 65338 after the recount

ASF has 40924 after a recount

Total is 122352

ATF has 13.1 %

Sov has 53.4 %

ASF has 33.4 %

Goal of the game was supposed to be 75 %. No team reached that. All teams finished with lower totals than they started. The Sov has the highest total points, but the ASF has the smallest loss of points from their start. This does not lead to a clear winner, as the rules did not anticipate someone not winning in the allotted time. I therefore will consider the ASF and the Sov team to both have marginal victories.

Due to the nature of this competition, I am not able to award medals to the winning team anyway. I would however like to commend all of you, and your teams for their excellent work. Of particular note I want to thank CM Ender mBind, for his work in this game, creating the Web Site, and helping with TIE mission creation. I wish to thank the Sov team, for their excellent meeting of deadlines, it made my job a lot easier. I want to thank the TFAs of all teams, for questioning me and the rules when necessary, and for giving me ideas for the future. But most importantly I want to thank the pilots who showed up, and everyone who participated and had a good time. Admirals, I ask that you take into account your pilots' activities in ImpStorm when reviewing their records for promotion or medals.

Thank you all for a good Game, I now take a weekend leave ( I will be away) and then I will begin work on a few new games, on a much smaller scale, to take place as soon as possible. There will be a basic game (very similar to ImpStorm) and a more advanced game (for those who have wargaming experience). Notice will be posted to apply for these games.

Petition for a sequel to TIE Fighter

10 ABY
There is an online petition to LucasArts for creation of a sequel to TIE Fighter. You all being loyal Imperial pilots, I am sure that is one of the long term goals of your life :)

Go sign it at: http://www.petitiononline.com/tf2pc/

XO's comment - I don't really think I need to tell everyone how important a new TIE game would be for the TIE Corps and the EH as a whole. Currently, we have a situation where our primary platform, TIE Fighter, is becoming very hard to acquire and even harder to run on modern systems. XvT had multiplayer, but not very good singleplayer and, from what I've been told, network code that isn't exactly that hot. XWA has the eyecandy, it runs on modern systems and OSes, but it has issues of modification and the Rebel setting. With some recent PC releases such as JK2 and SWGB, Lucasarts is finally loosening the bonds and allowing fans to create content. This could factor into a new TIE game, so go put your name on the petition.
