Well, those scores should have been out *much* sooner. Unfortunately, a bunch of BSF issues as well an attempt at my life by the Rebels, who tried to kidnap me when I'm drunk (oh, poor fools, they didn't know that a drunk SOViet is the most dangerous SOViet) have delayed things quite a bit. But, finally, the scores are in.

The ISD Challenge has defended her title and is once more the TIE Corps Flagship. Good job, now prepare for the Wrath of All Living and Dead as well as Undead Things and Alcohol (AKA: me) to come aboard and take care of you people.

The participation rate was rather low - only 17 people have taken part in the competition. Thanks to all who have participated ! The shinies will start flooding your inboxes as soon as June starts.

Detailed scores are available at http://eh.stryfe.net/viewtopic.php?f=101&t=976

Competition Winners!

Both comps that I began ended on the 15th. The Winners are SW Blade, and ACO Mordred! Blade won the 'A day in the life..' comp while Mordred won the 'Snapshots' comp (a very impressive entry as well). Both recieved a Diamond Crescent for their hard work.

Also, since both winners are from Validus HET, they will get the big spoils from both comps. Validus HET will be awarded twelve (yes a full squadron) of TIE Interceptors to use as they see fit for winning the fiction comp. They will also recieve four TIE Bombers to use for winning the graphics comp. Congrats to Validus HET!

Well, this has actually happened a few days ago, but I somehow never got around to announcing it. Captain Horus Blackheart has been appointed as the new Combat Operations Officer. As the position is not fully introduced in the database, Captain Blackeart shall remain on his position for the moment.

As confirmed by Grand Admiral Cyric on the last Emperor's Hammer meeting, Fleet Admiral Jarek La'an has resigned from the position of TIE Corps Commander several days ago. I want to thank the good Admiral for all that he has done to the TIE Corps and wish that he will return one day to us.

Applications for the TCCOM are NOT being accepted for now. In the meantime, I will be in charge of the TIE Corps as the TCXO.

Ekhm, your brilliant SOO has been misspelling the name of the competition for the past few days. Of course, the correct name is RAISE the Flag. Thanks to the people who pointed it out to me and sorry for any inconvenience.

Also, after a debate with some senior members, I have decided to change a little bit the medals that can be awarded. The changes are as follows:

- IS-SWs for all participating members of the ship with the highest number of points
- IS-SWs for all participating members of the squadron with the highest score

Current scores can be found both on your mailing groups and at the below topic on the message boards:

Rise the Flag 2009 !

Show must go on, and that's why the Rise the Flag 2009 will commence, starting NOW* ! Since this is a more 'lite' version of the RtF, the competition will last for two weeks (6-21 May) and will have no specials this time. You all know the drill, but I'll remind you of the rules:

Each activity reported in will grant your person, your squadron and your ship points. The ship with the highest number of points at the end of the RtF will be the winner and will be bestowed with the title of 'TIE Corps Flagship'. There are also numerous awards available to individuals and squadrons for their participation and results.

Here are things for which you can gain points:
- flying a mission: 1 point
- flying an MP match: 10 points for each participant
- submitting a fiction: 0-10 points
- submitting a graphic: 0-5 points
- passing an IWATS course: 5 points
- achieving mission high score: 3 points

All missions should be sent to your direct superiors and BSFed as per usual. Should your superiors be in any way unavailable, please send the files to me (viper.pred [at] gmail.com). MP matches should be also reported to me, by sending in a screenshot that contains the match scores. Each participant must send such a screenshot - I'm only assigning points to the people that send me the screenshots. Fiction and graphic submissions (which should preferably be connected to the RtF fleet maneuvers) will be judged by me.

All the scores will be recorded manually by myself and will be updated both on the TIE Corps Main Site as well as the message boards every evening.

There is a ridiculous number of Iron Stars to be won here ! The available medals are as follows:
- IS-PWs for all participating members of the ship with the highest number of points, IS-GWs for 2nd place
- IS-PW for the pilot with the highest number of points, IS-GW for 2nd place, IS-SW for 3rd and IS-BW for 4th
- IS-GW for the pilot with the highest number of points from SP matches, IS-SW for 2nd place, IS-BW for 3rd
- IS-GW for the pilot with the highest number of points from MP matches, IS-SW for 2nd place, IS-BW for 3rd
- S-GR for the pilot with the highest number of points from fiction, IS-SR for 2nd place, IS-BR for 3rd
- IS-GR for the pilot with the highest number of points from graphics, IS-SR for 2nd place, IS-BR for 3rd
- IS-GR for the pilot with the highest number of points from IWATS, IS-SR for 2nd place, IS-BR for 3rd
- IS-PWs for all participating members of the squadron with the highest score, IS-GWs for 2nd place
- IS-BWs for all participating members of the squadron with the highest participation rate

All of those are for the grabs in an easy way - so go get them ! Such a medal fest won't hapen for some time, so make the best of it. In case of any questions, please mail me at viper.pred [at] gmail.com

Grab your joysticks, mouses and keyboards and participate ! Good luck.

There comes a time in everyone's life when they realize they must move on, and, unfortunately, now is that time for me in the Emperor's Hammer. THe past few years in the EH have been amazing, and I have a number of people who I have been truly blessed to have met and gamed with in that time period. It is because of their example I know I must step down. The amazing leaders I have worked with and under in the EH have been committed above many other things to the club, and I simply can't do that anymore. This is certainly not a decision that I have made lightly, but I am confident that a more than capable and competent replacement will be found for me who will take my positions and the club as a whole to entirely greater heights.

Effective immediately, I, Farrin Xies, resign from my positions as Headmaster of the Emperor's Hammer Dark Brotherhood, Grand Moff of the Emperor's Hammer Directorate, and Subgroup Commander of the Emperor's Hammer.

In Service of the Hammer,

Farrin Xies

Two new DB-wide competitions are now up! First is a fiction event. Standard Crescents for a DB-wide comp will be awarded but the HET with the most submissions will win an entire Starfighter squadron or a Transport for thier HET.

The second comp is a Graphics event. Again, the standard Crescents will be rewarded but again, the HET with the most submissions will be rewarded an entire Flight (4) of Starfighters for their use.

All submissions will come to me, DGM Hades (DarkJediHades@aol.com). See the competitions page for more details!
